I heard him last night and he wouldn't confirm starting but when also asked, sounded like he's looking forward the the AS game, said he's made friends with other players, his wife will be there as well as his parents and he has friends coming from Cleavland.
"The three men who threw sweaters on the ice at ACC last night were also banned from #leafs games for a year." Those fans won hands down. Go tossing-jersey-fans GO. The leaf actually got a 'fan trick' last night - they got jerseys, bags AND waffles.
I am currently on a Via train headed toward the CotU. I will experience a combination of delusion and schadenfreude heretofore unknown in modern society.
Will report back later once I am ensconced in the hotel, hiding from delusional Leaf fans
29, while you enjoy 'free' WiFi and red wine in first class, give us your take on those that were busted for throwing leaf rags on the ice. Isn't it freedom of speech?
Methinks (so far) the best tml futility descriptor I've read today from the leafooled mediots is 'soul-crushing'. Really? Who's fucking soul? There's a soul to begin with? Go cry in a corner you sick fucks.
Two words I've grown to quickly despise: analytics and corsi. STFU FFS.
TSN's resident guru on such topics (hint: he formerly wrote for the acclaimed website eklund's hockeybuzz) informs us that From a raw skating perspective, it shouldn't be in dispute that Montreal's a vastly inferior hockey team here. Their underlying numbers are actually more comparable to teams like Arizona and Philadelphia...
While I won't disagree totally that this team could use some top 6 help (in the form of a Jagrbomb for example), I think some of those numbers that he graphs are misleading. The biggest problem I notice with the current group of skaters is a lack of finish/too much missing of the 4x6/looking to pass when should be shooting. Fix those three fixable issues and this team becomes a much bigger threat IMHO.
I was just going to post on this...the complete and utter bullshit of these analytics fuckwads who say what team is which or who based on some phoney fucking numbers. I refuse to even look at that crap. The ONLY reason I even look at TSN's website is to see if anybody was traded. They usually get that stuff up pretty quick with insidreger claiming he knew all along. There's only two statistics that count. Wins and losses. The Habs have more of one than the other hence their position in the standings. Go fuck yourself Yost you self important twit.
Actually, there is a method to their madness. It's called distraction. When their team sucks draw attention away from them by getting the fans to focus on their Habs hate instead.
Yeah, yeah, it's the same as Julien whining about the Habs being divers and embellishers thus creating a diversion and taking the focus off of the ones who practised it so much PK gets an embellishment for feeling pain when speared in the family jewels by ratface. He whined so much during the playoffs that Vigneault then grabbed the torch and voila! an rule was created by daddy Campbell and Uncle Buttface.
Note that the sick fucks are now comparing everything leaf with the lowly Edmonton. They will lower their bar simply to make their team seem worthwhile.
Moey's mittens! Be very afraid, some have rocks in 'em. On another note, I am really enjoying this year's leaf meltdown, it's just fun and so predictable. Their scouting is awful, drafting is dreadful and they're stuck with some horrible contracts that no other team will want. They're not quite bad enough to finish last so no top draft pick this year. Yup, their in shit up to their eyeballs for years to come with no way out. Tee hee.
My son will be at the game and I told him they'll win for his birthday! I'll be out to watCH this one, but my heart will be here with my fellow FHFers and our team.
I just read (some of) that crap at TSN. "From a raw skating perspective, it shouldn't be in dispute that Montreal's a vastly inferior hockey team here." Go fuck yourself. Moe is right, it's just distraction from their leaf. The Habs have been Canada's best team for 3 or so years now and they cannot bring themselves to give them any credit whatsoever.
Habs lean on Price? And the broons never leaned on Rask/Thomas? Isles aren't good this year because Halak is playing lights out? Wings don't need Howard? Look at the Bolts last year, they fell apart and were a minor speedbump in the playoffs after Bishop went down. The Pens can't get anywhere in the post-season because their goalie is a regular season only guy. Lundqvist carried the Rangers on his back to the Finals. But sure, only the Habs lean on their goalie. And by the way, last time I checked the goalie was part of the team. Why is it unfair to lean on him? The Pens don't lean on Crosby? As I said, go fuck yourself.
We had a leaffool over last week for dinner. He was tasty. Kidding. Anyhow he's not even that angry about it. I would be beside myself and would have stopped watching long ago.
The leaf has been so terrible for so long, their fans don't even know what success is anymore. That's why they line up on Yonge St when the leaf win 3 games in a row in December. They really do believe that is the best that can happen to their team.
Shove your analytics and Corsi where the sun don't shine and there is only smog CotU. When you have TFS™, you always have a chance. When your best goalie to show up year after year is Johnny Bower, you never have a chance.
The Preds can whine all they want, I counted about 3 infractions that could have been called against them in OT, and another 2 in the last couple of minutes in regulation.
Odd, TSN still hasn't gotten around to updating the standings to show the Habs' win. Yet they have the Wings and Bolts win posted, which happened at virtually the same time. Seriously, how petty, unprofessional and immature can you be?
I believe Buzz Lightyear answered that question best "To infinity AND beyond!" There is no end. Weird that they've just mailed in any hint of unbiased professionalism and are all flat out leaf loving idiots and they don't care who knows. Extra weird considering the franchise they get so hard for.
Still no sign of the Habs win on the standings, over an hour since it finished. Wow. Their broons just won their game, so I wonder if they'll update their record and 'forget' to update the Habs.
As predicted, the hate has come out. Habs always get the calls at home. They play every home game entirely on the PP! It's a FACT! Just ask Ron "I support all officials unless they're French" McLean.
Oh wait. Habs are 25th in the league for home PPs, and every team that has less than them have played less home games (except the broons). Guess who is #4 for home PPs. Their beloved leaf.
In fact, 4 teams from the Atlantic division are top 10 in total PP opportunities (including 1-2), and none are the Habs.
PP-PK time, the Habs are 24th at -31:20. The leaf are 11th at 16:16. Odd that a speedy team with no thugs that is one of the top teams in the league is negative while a terrible team with lots of rats, thugs and immobile defencemen are positive. But I digress.
And so...out hit...by a lot...outshot...under 30 ntotal and only 4 in the 1st period! Thank goodness the Powerplay has come back to life. A win is a win and that is all that matters. Well done boys! Go Habs Go!! Go rock the no-star game TFS. And show 'em how it's done Cakes!
Chiming in late here, or early depending on perspective... I only saw the 3rd period of what I assumed was a tight checking grinding game at that point. PFK was the difference with his dynamic skating and skills. Carey Price was excellent as well and when you have two players of that caliber you have a chance to win a lot of games. The biased and unprofessional Toronto media can only wish their team had players of that ilk. Let us wear their hatred of the Habs as a badge of honour, smile and wave as their team sinks like a lead weight in the standings.
Jason York nailed it at the end... "a well played game between to very structured teams". This is something the Toronto media couldn't or wouldn't recognize if their lives depended on it.
Great article by Jonas at Toronto sports network. Flabbergasted by the number of picks the leaf have given up since early 2000. Always swinging for the fences. Half the players they got rid of turned out just fine. They didn't have a number one or two pick for three years. What a disaster. I feel sorry for the leaf ... no wait no I don't ! HA!! Go Habs
Best thing I read today was about the ml$e having some leafools banned for a year from throwing the putrid jersey on the ice. Someone wrote that the one year ban is hilarious considering leaf hockey at the acc lasts only six months.
On the way home from the 416. I never read the Globe and Fail, but in the Via business class lounge they give them away like toilet paper. So I'm reading the Sports section obvs, and after reading about the calamity of Leaf fans throwing jerseys on the ice, I see the headline "Price deserves Hart consideration, too". I'm like, "wow! a positive Habs article! I'm shocked! This will be be a nice read!"
Uh, no, The whole point of the article was how the Habs would be a lottery team without TFS. Go fuck yourselves, I am so sick of that argument. HE IS PART OF THE FUCKING TEAM. Do you hear people say "well if only that pitcher wasn't 25-8 with a 2.20 ERA they wouldn't make the playoffs"? or "If only that QB didn't have a 40-10 TD-INT ration and a 95 QBR they would have finished 6-10"? Uh, no. It's the same fucking thing. High-profile position, does well, team does well.
When what's-his-face, the last Leaf goalie to go on a hot streak and was stopping 40 pucks a game while the Leaf had 20 shots and won a bunch of those, were they saying the same thing in the CotU media??? Fuck and no. The Leafs were just a great team.
@29 I made the mistake of reading that as well. I thought Sean Gordon covered the Habs for the G&M but apparently he is just another mediot hack looking for reasons to cut them up.
Carey said it best last night - " I don't care what it looks like, it's a win." Besides all the shots Carey faces are part of the coach's genius plan to elevate Price's save pct. and help him win the Vezina.
Last time the leaf Gman had a few good games they had him on the Olympic team. The Mop & Pail is maybe the biggest non-TV media organ grinder that suck the leaf teat for click bait. Funny cuz they own the Jets!
So Toronto 1050 interviewed PK. Haven't listened to it, but here's the description:
Montreal Canadiens defenceman P.K. Subban joins Leafs Lunch to talk about his plans for the All-Star break, not attending the NHL's mid-season event, whether he's paying attention to what’s been going on with the Maple Leafs, and the Canadiens' Winter Classic matchup versus the Bruins.
Why would PK be paying attention to the leaf, and why would they even ask? Would they ask Pylon if he's paying attention to the Habs? Holy shit fucknuts, the whole universe, even the hockey universe DOES NOT revolve around your terrible, terrible team. Seriously, the leaf is has been just as relevant as the Blue Jackets this last decade. Oh wait, that's unfair. the BJs have made the playoffs TWICE in the last decade.
As much as I love seeing the leaf shit their bed, it is as much if not more fun to see/hear/read the mediots desperation and frustration and excuse-making. Eat it you sick clueless biased fucks.
But remember, it's not really that bad for the leaf (as per their several articles yesterday that use stats that pulled my muscles just thinking about reaching that far) and the Habs are NOT elite, and pretty terrible.
Just watched the goals. They really do their best to try to convince us that these are 80s Oilers-esque plays that no human could defend against. Like the first one was "through traffic". It was one on one. Love that Kessel got stopped on a breakaway, what a cherry picking asshat.
I kind of like this better. It was getting old having the leaf losing so easily for so long. Give them some hope so it's more crushing when they ultimately lose. The tears taste better that way.
Honestly, if I didn't know anything about hockey...I could work for Sportsnet!
Haha, no. But seriously. If I didn't know anything about hockey and I tuned into this game I'd think the leaf were the 92 Pens and this was Game 7 of the Finals. Compare the incredible enthusiasm put into this nothing game between 2 non-playoff teams and compare it to Saturday night's broadcast between the Habs and Isles, the two top teams in the East, which was slightly more quiet than a funeral.
3 wins in their last 17 games. Their worst stretch in 25 years? That's hard to believe, what with all the terrible teams since. I thought they did worse last year when they collapsed after the Olympics. It's so hard to keep track of how utterly terrible they are.
The most amazing thing about the leaf is thier patience with management. Nosense could not find the talent at a Battlestar Galatica cast party. He is the guy that is 100% responsible for all the anchor contracts. He makes the goat look like Sam Pollock. David Clarkson the face of the leaf for the next 7 years.
For some reason I can't answer moe directly, but I want to say that I don't want the leaf to do that badly. No top 3 picks, please!
We feel bad about losing McDonagh*, but the leaf have given away Rask, Seguin, Dougie Hamilton and more in the last few years (hard to keep track). Never mind how stupid those deals were, it just goes to show you how Mickey Mouse the whole organization is because what team makes such huge trades within their own division! You don't give high draft picks to your own competition, you fucking morons. I'm not smart in any way, and even I know that!
*The reality is if the Habs got McDonagh they wouldn't have PK. It's just the reality with the cap. They would have probably traded PK long ago and that trade may have helped the team, but I'll keep PK, thankyouverymuch.
I am so jealous that you guys played drinking games and I missed it. I decided that with the no-star break upon us I could catch up on other things around the house. One night I decide to do something else and look what happens!! AAAND you were drinking Amaretto!!
But the leaf lost again so all is right in the world. I've noticed that they haven't found a replacement for Belinda ...do you reckon that is because NO SELF RESPECTING COACH IN HIS RIGHT MIND WOULD WANT TO COACH THE leaf? BWAAAAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...
Oh - of course - I forgot that there is no conceivable reason he would want to jump ship and join the most pathetic over hyped organisation in professional sports...- my bad!
Not long ago the leafool apologists were saying after the "merciless" California road trip ( which all eastern teams have to do) that the leaf would be playing teams below them in the standings starting with Carolina and Ottawa and have a chance to recover with some wins. "....................." How's that working out for them?
Now the mediots are gleefully looking toward Connor McDavid as the newest leaf savior just like Stamkos and Tavares.
the leaf can not even fail properly. If they do not win another game this year they still will not get into the top five. Waited way to late to tank.
the leaf like loosing like they loose now better because their possecion numbers are way up, and thats all that matters these days to the whiz kids.
Its really hard to score in the NHL these days. If you have a great goalie your going to win a lot of games. If you have an elite goalie and its hard to evalute this, you can win the cup with a decent team.
""Those penalties took their toll on us," he told reporters after the game. "It’s too bad. It was such a close game. To have a (5-2) edge on us on the power play is unbelievable."" What a fucking whiner, he always whines when his team of divers get a penalty, just goes to show he gave the Habs a back rep for nothing and now the league is onto his whining.
I predict that shortly after the break the leaf will go on a slight run (so the best run ever in the history of hockey, according to the 'experts' and their fans). I'm talking 8 wins in 12 games or some such. They will get within like 6 points of a playoff spot and the mediots will immediately change gears to what geniuses the management is, how Kessel is better than Stamkos, Bernier/Reimer should have been in Sochi last year, Pylon is the best captain in the league, etc. Their fans will start lining up on Yonge and everything will be 'right' in leafland. Then they'll go back to their losing ways in March and finish way outside the playoffs (but 'just outside' according to TSN, as they did last year- 9 points out). Then everyone will once again scratch their heads and wonder what went wrong, send death threats to Reimer's wife and blame the refs because they only got the 3rd most PPs in the league.
Next year starts up with the same roster, Babcock is vilified for staying in Detroit and TSNCBCSN don't broadcast the Cup Parade on St Catherines due to 'technical difficulty'.
Ok, ok, that last part is a bit of a fantasy. The rest is just based off history.
Cosby and Malkin out of the all star game due to 'injuries'. Uh-huh. Same with Bobrovsky. I actually hope they don't call up Patches.
Funny how every Olympic year the league says it really inconveniences them to stop play for 2 weeks. Here we are with a week break for a game pretty much no one over the age of 14 cares about. I don't really see how one more week every 4 years is that big of a deal. But I get that there are other issues, too.
Oh, well, Cherry doesn't want to 'kick the leafs while they're down'. But he has no problem with racist taunts against Europeans and xenophobic slurs against French players. And don't forget his Habs hate! But those poor leafs! Let's just hold a prayer circle for them.
Jersey throwers are victims of cognative dissonance. They just realized after decades for many they are leaf fans and all that entails. Throwing away a sweater that cost you a couple of hundred bucks is not stupid, buying it in the first place was the problem.
More fantasy news from GTA media. Apparently Colorado, among others, are dying for Pylon. Because every teams needs an ineffectual locker room poison d-man with a huge long term contract.
"Kessel and Phaneuf both signed the deals they signed so they could stay in Toronto. Had both wanted to leave Toronto, they could have waited for unrestricted free agency and gotten better deals. They showed loyalty to the Leafs."
No, not 'loyalty'. No other team would have paid them near as much as the idiot leaf offered. Truth.
"If he's available on the trade market, the interest in Kessel would be through the roof."
Stop. Just stop it. Stop trying to make Kessel happen. He's not going to happen. Would some teams want him? I'm sure they would in the general sense. Would they want his contract? Probably not. Would they want to give up what the leaf obviously think he's worth? Most definitely not. They want Stamkos level pay for a one dimensional 40 goal scorer who has literally no other side to his game. Not to mention he's a coach killer and is locker room poison. A young team wouldn't want him as a leader or role model. Maybe a team making a run who needs scoring, but again they wouldn't give up what the leaf think he's worth.
The mediots have to manufacture some news that isn't all bad and give the leafools some hope. The Habs aren't playing right now so that can't use that distraction.
TFS™ starts!

DeleteDamn, Minny almost came back all the way against the Wings, lose in SO. Actually, 5/6 games that are finished went to OT/SO.
ReplyDeleteSomeone call the doctor because Montreal's PP is on fire!
ReplyDeleteBut seriously, Habs made the shots look respectable in the end. It was 25-4 at one point, so they finished 23-12 in the last half for the Habs.
Also, as bad as we looked the first 2 periods, the Preds didn't really have many decent scoring chances.
DeleteWings were outshot 38-24 by the Wild and still won. Can't wait to read the detailed articles about how Detroit is a terrible team tomorrow on TSN.

What a disaster. I feel sorry for the leaf ... no wait no I don't !
HA!!
Go Habs
Now that the PP seems sorted out the Habs won't even have to bother playing those pesky last 20 minutes of a hockey game. Win win.
ReplyDeleteGo Sens Go Avs, Go Hawks
ReplyDeleteBest thing I read today was about the ml$e having some leafools banned for a year from throwing the putrid jersey on the ice. Someone wrote that the one year ban is hilarious considering leaf hockey at the acc lasts only six months.
ReplyDeleteOn the way home from the 416.
ReplyDeleteUh, no, The whole point of the article was how the Habs would be a lottery team without TFS.
QED.
p.s. I have had some Via booze
@29 I made the mistake of reading that as well. I thought Sean Gordon covered the Habs for the G&M but apparently he is just another mediot hack looking for reasons to cut them up.
DeleteCarey said it best last night - " I don't care what it looks like, it's a win." Besides all the shots Carey faces are part of the coach's genius plan to elevate Price's save pct. and help him win the Vezina.
Beauty of a mini rant 29.
DeleteLast time the leaf Gman had a few good games they had him on the Olympic team. The Mop & Pail is maybe the biggest non-TV media organ grinder that suck the leaf teat for click bait. Funny cuz they own the Jets!
So Toronto 1050 interviewed PK. Haven't listened to it, but here's the description:
ReplyDeleteMontreal Canadiens defenceman P.K.
One of my dream/wishes is a Habs Cup with PFK parading the silver mug down fucking some leaf street. I think #76 said as much when he was drafted.
Delete1-0 Sens!
ReplyDelete2-0 and a frustrated Céline takes on a smaller non-fighting player.
DeleteGod Bless Us Every One!!!
DeleteHeh, phaneur's rep as the most hated player amongst his peers just got elevated. POS.
ReplyDeleteWas it the tranna police or the OPP that ml$e had take out the jersey throwers?
ReplyDelete3-0. Eat shit and die leaf!
ReplyDeleteI'm watching it too! Ha ha!
ReplyDeleteI may get drunk just to enjoy it more!
DeleteWhat kind of drinking game can we play?
DeleteEvery time a a sportsnet guy makes a leaf excuse, take a shot.
DeleteI don't have enough left!
DeleteOK, sip instead of shot.
DeleteThe leaf is in the process of (re)signing kadri long term, 5x4.75$M. Wonder if he gets a yapping bonus.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I love seeing the leaf shit their bed, it is as much if not more fun to see/hear/read the mediots desperation and frustration and excuse-making. Eat it you sick clueless biased fucks.
ReplyDeleteBut remember, it's not really that bad for the leaf (as per their several articles yesterday that use stats that pulled my muscles just thinking about reaching that far) and the Habs are NOT elite, and pretty terrible.
DeleteI know, they honestly think the leaf can pick things up and win this. Fucking morons.
DeleteMoey, that is worth a sip.
DeleteDone.
DeleteSo the leaf player literally grabs the sense player's stick and simpleton says 'a bit of a grab'. Its an excuse folks. Sip!
ReplyDeleteJust watched the goals. They really do their best to try to convince us that these are 80s Oilers-esque plays that no human could defend against. Like the first one was "through traffic". It was one on one. Love that Kessel got stopped on a breakaway, what a cherry picking asshat.
ReplyDeleteHuge-son is about to either blow a gasket or unload a load (same diff.) Sip!
ReplyDeleteSo I'm not imagining thing, his voice goes about 5 octaves higher when he's calling the leaf. Thought so.
DeleteYup. Sip!
DeleteKarlsson is wasted on the Sens.
ReplyDeleteThey CAN score! Ooooh!
ReplyDeleteSip!
Deleteleaf scores, heely says it is a relieve. Sip!
ReplyDeleteHere's their opportunity to get back into the game. Two sips.
ReplyDeleteDouble-fisting sips!!!!
DeleteWHAT AM I MISSING????!!!!????
ReplyDeleteThe Sportsnet Sips!
DeleteSaving my Amaretto for the third period.
ReplyDeleteThat Pens / Phuckers game last night sounded like a good one. Phuckers bulldozed them as usual.
ReplyDeletePOS doug maclean says leaf are set for the future. Sip a big sip.
ReplyDeleteWhich team is better set for the future? *goes to get Amaretto*. Who's the grey haired asshat in blue?
ReplyDeleteI think you are referring to doug maclean (?)
DeleteYes! Fuck, we should apply, it could only get better.
DeleteCould you imagine little ol' me on national teevee?
DeleteThere clearly is a big lack of talent on Sportsnet. Sip.
ReplyDelete11 and a half more years of it. Is there enough booze in the world?
DeleteOK, so if one of the resident sporstnet wads drops a whopper of a comment, we drink an Amaretto shot, straight from the bottle!
ReplyDelete*grabs bottle* I'm in!
DeleteMy bottle doesn't have a handle !
DeleteUse both hands.
DeleteYou need a good spanking.
DeleteI know!
DeleteAck, christine simpleton yips about the releaf on the leaf bench. Sip!
ReplyDeletekadri blows to offensive zone PP face-offs. I'm sipping!
ReplyDeleteBottoms up!
ReplyDeleteGulp.
DeleteThe leaf have really come alive! Gulp.
ReplyDeleteSo they've got two. A fluke for a cherry picker and one that should have been called back for interference after an iffy penalty.
ReplyDeleteMolson Canadian, 'a proud partner' of maple leaf hockey'. Sip! (Google's Geoff Molson's email addy). Another sip.
ReplyDeleteI kind of like this better. It was getting old having the leaf losing so easily for so long. Give them some hope so it's more crushing when they ultimately lose. The tears taste better that way.
ReplyDeleteIf the leaf get a late powerplay I will polish off the bottle.
ReplyDeleteHonestly, if I didn't know anything about hockey...I could work for Sportsnet!
ReplyDeleteHaha, no.
Oman, don cherry played one NHL game, so you don't have a high threshold.
DeleteIn what universe what that take down NOT a penalty. Not even mentioned by the crew, of course. Sip!
ReplyDeleteAmaretto?
DeleteWell, I'm at work, but I'll keep tabs for later.
Deletehuge-son says sens in 'full retreat'. Pounds one back!
ReplyDeleteChecks in to see if Moey is still up.
ReplyDeleteStanding by. Sip.
DeleteI'm going to go with 5:45 left for the inevitable leaf PP.
ReplyDeleteThey'll need two. Can still happen!
DeleteYeah! SIPS a big SIP!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lord! I was on pace for a horrific hangover.
ReplyDeleteI prefer being called God. : )
DeleteThey're blaming Reimer now. Pouring a double. I suppose leafool nation will be tweeting his wife death threats again.
ReplyDeleteSick fucks in leaf nation.
DeleteSo basically the leaf woes are because of terrible coaching and Reimer. Yeah, that's it! I'm a fucking genius!
ReplyDeletehuge-son is excited. Sip.
ReplyDeleteYou can smell the leaf desperation here in Gatineau. Reminds me of Thurso.
ReplyDeletesimpleton, they put one second on the clock, it may be handy. Sip.
ReplyDelete... and one final sip and a cheer for all the FHFun.
ReplyDeleteHearty gulp. That t'was fun.
ReplyDeleteYou betcha. Merci Moey.
Deletehahaha Sens now tied with the laff.
ReplyDeleteWith 2 games in hand.
Delete*cackles manically*
ReplyDelete3 wins in their last 17 games. Their worst stretch in 25 years? That's hard to believe, what with all the terrible teams since. I thought they did worse last year when they collapsed after the Olympics. It's so hard to keep track of how utterly terrible they are.
ReplyDeleteThe worse they do, the happier I am.
DeleteThe most amazing thing about the leaf is thier patience with management. Nosense could not find the talent at a Battlestar Galatica cast party. He is the guy that is 100% responsible for all the anchor contracts. He makes the goat look like Sam Pollock. David Clarkson the face of the leaf for the next 7 years.
ReplyDeleteLast 10 games leaf are just 1 win more than Buffalo.
ReplyDeleteI should have mentioned, Buffalo haven't won any.
DeleteFor some reason I can't answer moe directly, but I want to say that I don't want the leaf to do that badly. No top 3 picks, please!
ReplyDeleteWe feel bad about losing McDonagh*, but the leaf have given away Rask, Seguin, Dougie Hamilton and more in the last few years (hard to keep track).
Iginla opens the scoring vs the broons.
ReplyDeleteI am so jealous that you guys played drinking games and I missed it. I decided that with the no-star break upon us I could catch up on other things around the house. One night I decide to do something else and look what happens!! AAAND you were drinking Amaretto!!
ReplyDeleteBut the leaf lost again so all is right in the world.
They're waiting for Babcock. Pfft.
DeleteOh - of course - I forgot that there is no conceivable reason he would want to jump ship and join the most pathetic over hyped organisation in professional sports...- my bad!
DeleteNot long ago the leafool apologists were saying after the "merciless" California road trip ( which all eastern teams have to do) that the leaf would be playing teams below them in the standings starting with Carolina and Ottawa and have a chance to recover with some wins. "....................." How's that working out for them?
ReplyDeleteNow the mediots are gleefully looking toward Connor McDavid as the newest leaf savior just like Stamkos and Tavares.
the leaf can not even fail properly. If they do not win another game this year they still will not get into the top five. Waited way to late to tank.
Deletethe leaf like loosing like they loose now better because their possecion numbers are way up, and thats all that matters these days to the whiz kids.
To have a (5-2) edge on us on the power play is unbelievable.""
ReplyDeleteWhat a fucking whiner, he always whines when his team of divers get a penalty, just goes to show he gave the Habs a back rep for nothing and now the league is onto his whining.
*bad* rep
Delete2 of the 5 were pucks over the glass, so STFU you fucking whiner.
DeleteA message from my Kodi guru
ReplyDeleteSteve,
You have to watch the following….and add the PHOENIX channel.
It has live streaming from a ton of channels including TSN and SPORTSNET under the Woody tab.
Have a look at the video:

Bloopers of the Baruchel videos they did for club1909

ReplyDeleteNext year starts up with the same roster, Babcock is vilified for staying in Detroit and TSNCBCSN don't broadcast the Cup Parade on St Catherines due to 'technical difficulty'.
Ok, ok, that last part is a bit of a fantasy. The rest is just based off history.
Cosby and Malkin out of the all star game due to 'injuries'. Uh-huh. Same with Bobrovsky. I actually hope they don't call up Patches.
ReplyDeleteFunny how every Olympic year the league says it really inconveniences them to stop play for 2 weeks. Here we are with a week break for a game pretty much no one over the age of 14 cares about. I don't really see how one more week every 4 years is that big of a deal. But I get that there are other issues, too.
http://www.thestar.com/sports/leafs/2015/01/22/don-cherry-wont-kick-leafs-while-theyre-down-calls-jersey-throwers-jerks.html
ReplyDeleteOh, well, Cherry doesn't want to 'kick the leafs while they're down'.
Deletehttp://www.thestar.com/sports/breakaway_blog/2015/01/leafs-talking-to-western-teams-only-about-kessel-phaneuf.html
ReplyDeleteMore fantasy news from GTA media.
DeleteGo Genie!
ReplyDeleteSo, have we seen Miss Canada's costume at the Miss Universe contest? It's....patriotic.
