Turds should beat the laffingstocks. Rags should beat the B's. I say don't hurt yourselves trying too hard tonight boys. If the cats win to move within a point of the broons, so be it.
But, don't try to lose, like some teams we know and 'love'. \
You hear a lot of the same crap about the Habs' lack of offence from all of the mediots. I haven't heard that mentioned about one other team in the playoffs. Through 75 games the Habs have 197 goals. The Kings have 199, the Pens have 204, the Hawks have 209. A number of teams have 212. So even those teams at 212 goals score one more goal than the Habs every 5 games. Yet it would appear the only team whose offence is a real concern heading into the playoffs is the Habs. The jealousy and envy they have towards the Habs is almost laughable if it wasn't so sad and weird, especially considering the fucking pile of compost they cheer for.
There is something to be said about going into the playoffs on a roll...so the Habs need to string a few wins together...Start playing playoff hockey now...especially against any team they might face in the playoffs.
Go Habs Go!!
UK switches its clocks forward tonight after the game so last one at 11 for a while!! WooHoo!!
Re-post from last thread, good read on PatCHes. http://montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/nhl/montreal-canadiens/dinner-with-max-an-enlightening-look-at-habs-sniper-pacioretty-on-the-ice-and-off
On-ice call is NO GOAL for Lucy that although he did not swing his legs in a 'direct kicking motion' he clearly turned his skate while continuing towards the net, leafroom reviews it and reverses the on ice decision.
You know my goal with the new blog is to get an interview with MP, hit on her, and thus get CHarger sip really pissed off just in time for the playoffs where he focuses his anger and becomes a beast on the ice
"Morin hadn’t met us for more than a minute before she began describing a new poutine place she recently discovered offering spicy Portuguese chicken and chorizo that tops her hometown’s gift to the world. It sounded like an amazing dish. And as soon as she’s done the interview, she said, she was excited to go off and eat French fries."
"Do you watch every single Habs game? I do. I’m a big fan now. I scream at the TV and get mad at the coach for not playing my boyfriend enough. I criticize the lines. But I do it all in my living room, not on social media."
Never thought I'd type this but I have really grown to dislike friedman since his move to snet. Its like he is trying his hardest to suck up to leafools whilst dissing the Habs to suck up to leafools. He has no case against the Habs, he thinks he is untouchable and he has a sense of CotU entitlement. He is 100% SFU.
I'm all for six Canadian hockey teams but I won't lose sleep if Ottawa and Winnipeg don't make it. Fuck bettman and all that but I don't need loser teams hoovering Habs hotness.
Also, snet cannot stop finding faults in the Habs. They literally foam more in their Pants! above Habs problems than explaining their shameful, prideless tank job in tranna.
Gally tried his best to make it seem like a dirty hit. Totally legit hit, dude. "I don't see the puck!" Meanwhile, the puck is clearly in the shot. Does he know we can see the video, too?
That was an "interesting" period...I really don't like the way the Habs skate across the blueline and either fire it into the corner or skate with the puck into the corner. The net is in the middle of the ice...not the corner. They picked it up towards the end of the period and almost got a PP goal...good on Lego. Every goal he scores should have "Fuck you Therrien" written i tape on the puck.
And what the fuck is going on in Therrien's pea brain when he has 5'-5" Desharnais trying to screen 6'-4" Luongo or 6'-8" Pekka Rinne on the PP or Gallagher for that matter? The ol' coach is going to live or die with his little pet. The minutes he feeds him are incredible.
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
So, it's obvious the leaf is tanking because as bad as they are, they're not this bad. Think the league cares about integrity? Wonder if McDavid miraculously ends up in Toronto.
I watCHed an episode of AC and there were 3 presidents, Corey, Boivin and Molson and the subject of hiring coaCHies and GM's. Boivin was the only one who said while it is important to hire Francophones, no one realizes how tight that makes the hiring and how limiting is it for who is available.
Anyone want to take a guess at what forward has the most ice time tonight? Hint: It's more than the team's leading scorer and more than the two guys who scored tonight.
I'll take a guess that he's about 5'5" and his initials start with the letter "D". Also, he spends a lot of time on his ass and turns the puck over in the offensive zone with regularity.
Yeah, moe mentioned friedman earlier, snet ruined him but he was leaf tainted by cbc/hnic a few years earlier. The old satellite hot stove on hnic had better talking heads than friedman and cox, Red Fisher used to be on there occasionally along with JD and one of my favourites was Al Strachan, a nasty little pit bull who chewed on leaf ankles regularly.
Love that they spend the whole intermission talking about the leaf and Sens, then give 2 minutes to the Habs so they can shit on them. "Not enough scoring! Look at that right side...Gallagher...no scoring!" Yeah, a 4 game goal streak, 20+ goals. What a slacker!
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
One part of the Habs game I hate it that they dont ever seem to have any possession...Always dumping and chasing, giving up the puck pver and over again...real fucking bullshit hockey
Love that every save Price makes is "easy" to Gally, then a puck hits a Panther and it's a high stick. Jesus dude, there are better organizations to have that much hate for. ISIS, for example.
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Preds (2nd overall) & Habs (3rd overall) have identical records with 47-21-8 and ROW of 41, the goal differential for Preds +35, Habs +31.Only 4 more goals over 76 games. Anaheim (1st overall) has1 more point but Habs have a game in hand and Ducks have a goal differential of +10.
I agree anemic is a bit strong to use, however when you look at Goals For, of the 8 teams in playoff contention right now, only Boston has fewer goals (Montreal has 200 to Boston's 199). But Montreal's Goals Against is so low (thanks mainly to Price), that makes their Goal Differential so high. We have all been saying on here, we need more offence.
Good morning everyone. I've been doing my usual reading of last night's games and noticed a few comments in one of the cotu rags about the old crotch's rant in his xenophobic segment he gets every week. I hit the mute button during all this but he was apparently trashing the leaf for signing "college boys" instead of good Canadian kids playing in the OHL. Whatever. What caught my eye was he showed a clip of N8 getting "beat" in a fight with the Jets' Jim Slater last Thursday in Winnipeg. I happened to see that minor tilt and from what I remember, N8 lost his footing or got off balance and took a couple of shots and when he did regain his footing, the linesmen had stepped in and stopped it. I guess the gist of this is Winnipeg is so much tougher than Montreal, they couldn't possibly win a series against said Jets. I'm thinking the old fool forgot or conveniently neglected to mention N8's other two fights earlier this season which were one punch KO's by #28. I'm guessing this bitter old leaffool was grasping for straws to bring down the Habs from their lofty perch in the league standings. What a sad old fool indeed.
Montreal can score, despite what the advanced analytics dweebs tell us, they defend very well and have two guys on the back end you better be aware of when coming up ice in (Y) and Plaid and the best goalie in the world. They also have a couple of forwards who can in CHarger and CHip (double sip) who can create havoc if necessary. Should be some good playoff hockey in the near future. The Habs do have one weak link but I'm not going to go there.
One thing I have to say though, all this winning is nice but we are watching Jacques Lemaire hockey, the trap reincarnated by eMTy. It's crap hockey but it is effective and essentially the whole league is playing it. I love the Canadiens, their history and the legendary players who have worn the iconic sweaters but, if I didn't have decades of my life invested in watching them, I doubt I would be interested NHL hockey today. Junior hockey is mistake riddled but is by far more entertaining because of it.
Well, for now anyway. We are getting a fair bit of melting but there are still mountains of the stuff in parking lots every where. I'd guess there is an average of 4-5 feet still on my property, plus the huge pile beside the garage from plowing and my piling it there.
Statement game tomorrow, I hope CHarger goes right after that freak Bishop right off the bat and gets him off his game.
"The Florida Panthers aren't happy with the referees and intend on letting the league know.
At issue is the way Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens ended, with a Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck in the penalty box in overtime on a high-sticking call.
Towards the end of regulation, however, defenseman Aaron Ekblad received a high-stick and lost part of his tooth, but no penalty was called on the play.
Because of this seeming inconsistency, Panthers owner Frank Viola sees the need to speak up on behalf of his club:
Harvey Fialkov @hfialkov Panthers owner Viola will talk to league about unfair officiating after Habs OT according to source close to team #FlaPanthers 12:19 PM - 29 Mar 2015 The point dropped by losing in overtime could prove costly for the Panthers' playoff hopes, but Viola likely just wants his team get a fair shake."
Maybe he should watch the game again and note a more blatant non-call for his team when Gallagher was body-slammed onto his back a la WWE and shut his yap. This will surely lead to more biased officiating against the Habs going forward.
He will call Geoff Molson to apologize because the Habs keep his shit team alive by revenue-sharing-subsidizing his shithole team for many fucking years.
As much as I can, I avoid trade and player movement/speculations. Having typed that, I think Jaromir Jagr is still a fucking beast of a player and he wants to play until he is 50, in 7 years. I think it would be cool to have him as a Hab. I don't think he is worth more than maybe $2-3M but he would FHFreak us out.
snet is fucking hilarious. According to them, now that they've realized how fucking putrid their own(ed) blue&white team is, their jays and their raptors are 'Canada's teams'. STFU you SFU! The majority of Canadians don't like you, your teams or your city. Don't try and be the north on the backs of true Canadians.

ReplyDeleteAt issue is the way Saturday's game against the Montreal Canadiens ended, with a Panthers forward Vincent Trocheck in the penalty box in overtime on a high-sticking call.
Towards the end of regulation, however, defenseman Aaron Ekblad received a high-stick and lost part of his tooth, but no penalty was called on the play.
Because of this seeming inconsistency, Panthers owner Frank Viola sees the need to speak up on behalf of his club:
Harvey Fialkov @hfialkov
Panthers owner Viola will talk to league about unfair officiating after Habs OT according to source close to team #FlaPanthers
12:19 PM - 29 Mar 2015
The point dropped by losing in overtime could prove costly for the Panthers' playoff hopes, but Viola likely just wants his team get a fair shake."
Maybe he should watch the game again and note a more blatant non-call for his team when Gallagher was body-slammed onto his back a la WWE and shut his yap. This will surely lead to more biased officiating against the Habs going forward.
Hey Viola, the Montreal Canadiens organization has been revenue-sharing-subsidizing your shithole team for years. Suck it up buttercup.

ReplyDeletePanthers got a high-stick penalty end of the game, also to back of the head....what will Viola say - maybe nothing since they won.
ReplyDeleteHe will call Geoff Molson to apologize because the Habs keep his shit team alive by revenue-sharing-subsidizing his shithole team for many fucking years.
DeleteAnd so he should.
DeleteAs much as I can, I avoid trade and player movement/speculations. Having typed that, I think Jaromir Jagr is still a fucking beast of a player and he wants to play until he is 50, in 7 years. I think it would be cool to have him as a Hab. I don't think he is worth more than maybe $2-3M but he would FHFreak us out.
ReplyDeletesnet is fucking hilarious. According to them, now that they've realized how fucking putrid their own(ed) blue&white team is, their jays and their raptors are 'Canada's teams'. STFU you SFU! The majority of Canadians don't like you, your teams or your city. Don't try and be the north on the backs of true Canadians.
ReplyDeleteAmen Brother.
DeleteMoe, great story about General Vodkov in today's Gazette, nominated for the Masterton. Please show in the new thread later. Thanks!
