"Jack Adams Award: Well, we know Mike Babcock’s going to be denied again, although he’s done excellent work with the restructuring Maple Leafs. Should have been at least a dozen games. Anybody but a select few of Bettman's darlings would have received at least 10. If it was PK, he'd probably be burned on a cross already.
I just saw this article about the night PFK got gurt.
"“Oh my God … I was very nervous when I saw him fall down,” Élise said Friday afternoon. “I saw him moving, and all of a sudden he wasn’t moving anymore and I said: ‘Oh my God, did he pass out?
“It’s very dangerous if you get hit in the neck … you could be paralyzed.”
Élise was in the old-timers room at the Bell Centre after the game when she heard Subban was being taken to the Montreal General Hospital by ambulance. She wanted to see him and rushed into the hallway outside the Canadiens’ locker room."
SFU just spent 10 minutes, ⅓ of their opening show to diss the Red Wings. They have never done this before. Wonder why? Also, they cap it by throwing the thick oak at their rookie. Pure fucking scum.
Proving to being an infinite fucking SFUcker, ron listens to coach Paul Maurice say he 'grew up watching the Habs' and then he (ron) says he liked coach Paul Maurice 'as a leaf'.
It'll get worse next season if the refs no longer decide and the war room controls it. I think if they put cameras on every blue line, I think they'll have the only access to see it and keep it from the public...no transparency.
I'm kinda sorta watching, the game is on, the sound down low, I can't seem to muster much enthusiasm...
Anyway, my oldest son son to me to the Sea Dogs game last night, he had scored some tickets, it was a lot of fun. They eliminated the Bathurst Titan 4-1 series win, with a thrilling 4-3 OT win. Good crowd of 4000 in the building. Saw some old friends during the intermissions... I like CHL hockey. It's fast, lots of mistakes made and the coaches don't throttle the creativity out of the players. Ottawa draft pick Thomas Chabot was a force on the back end all night and led many rushes up ice. He got the OT winner. Some NHL coach will eventually ruin him I'm sure.
WTF??? Desharnais Byron and Ghetto on the same line?? Hahahahahahaha that's too fucking funny, good thing they are not playing the broons they'd all be dead by now!! Empty you fucking genius you!!!
Whilst flipping, SFUckers laugh off a sick cross-check to the head of a Red Wing by kadri. They then discuss maybe penalties should be, wait for it, challenged.
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!
WOW, thanks so much for linking this story moe. I still think Superman the Movie is one of the greatest super hero films ever made. Chris Reeve was the best.
Good on the Panthers. The Habs loss means that Mt can start charlie29 next game. TFS shouldn't come back this year. PFK should...unless they club has lied to us all again...they have been all season so I wouldn't be surprised...
Knowing more about him now, he's kind of grown on me. Have I gone looney-tunes? Is DGMB fulfilling his end of the deal? Can he tell us now and we'll all understand? Or does he want to be in he movie?
Like you Juce...I have no issue with bringing up BZbJ. Sending McM down us stupid. But then again...siting him on the bench got 50 minutes a night is not very smart either. The MT wish I guess...not going to lose too much sleep over it. Happy for Scott and it will nod the next game more interesting I suppose
Better late than never I guess, for BJS. I have to put McCarron in the category of another young guy eMTy can't work with for his own personal reasons (probably said something nice or fawning about PK)
eMTy has lost his objectivity so bad...
But if BJS is here now, maybe it's primarily for protection of the other players in the last three games? Does this mean TFS is starting one of them? I am hoping Molson steps in next week and cleans house at this point.
Well now i may actually tune in to watch the past few games with BBJ in the lineup. Too bad MB wasn't smart enough to do it 6 weeks ago (or whenever the hell the allstar game was).
Penalty-drawing expert and repeat offender Kadri is gonna have a hearing for crosscheck on Glendening. Don't you just love the drama? Your move, Sidewhow.
I know a thing or two about living life as a movie and that is just what is happening to John Scott. So relish in the hot dog of reality when life is in the pink.
If we can stay put, we got a real shot at Pierre Du Bois, I would still trade our pick strainght up for drouin. Of couse none of this matters, both DDD and eMTy are back next year, so might as well start studying up on the 18 th overall for next year, and two rounds of playoffs.
Marcus Stroman defaced kidA's Blue Jays shirt. These leafies must be worried the Expos may be coming back. It's OK kidA will show him how he puts pucks in a leaf net next season.
Regarding TWD - i'll preface this with potential spoilers, though there aren't any really.
First, I thought it was a terribly slow episode which could have been easily fit into their 60 minute time. A lot of unnecessary and imho slow 'action' that didn't really add anything to the story. Some of the most interesting stuff (aside from the last 10 minutes) was the guys on horseback arriving. Presumably from the Kingdom I hear. I haven't read the comics but intend to start doing so this summer...we'll see.
As far as the final scene per the M's question above, I hear it's Glenn in the comics and wouldn't be surprised if it's him, but I think it might be Maggie (Negan might deem her unuseful in her state) or the Alexandria guy whose name I can never remember.
I did not realize it was the season finale or 90 min long. So it was that good. I thought they built the tension up real good. Cant believe we have to wait until Oct to see what happened. I gotta say Rick really let down the intelligence side of his rule. Worse job since GWB.
Most episodes of TWD are "slow" and are meant to be, as this show not just about fending off Walkers but character evolution, development and involvement. I found this episode to be very intense, as they lead you to the debut of Negan and someone's ultimate fate.
I have read some of the comics, the first 10 graphic novels and the "All Out War" arc which is Negan is introduced along with the Hilltop and the Kingdom. If they follow suit with the comics, which they have to a certain extant, then it will be Glenn who gets his head bashed in, which they thankfully didn't show as they did in the books. Personally I think it is Daryl, as I read that Norman Reedus is extremely busy with new projects and may or may not have time to continue in TWD. We shall see this October but I'm in no hurry to find out. COME ON SUMMER!!
I agree this is one of, if not THE best, shows with regards to character development. I just thought they dragged it out too long...but maybe that's because I stayed up until 1230AM to watch TTD too and I'm tired and grumpy today. However it goes, looking forward to next season...but like you say, not too soon. Bring on summer and golf first. I'm predicting Jason Day for the Masters.
If the Habs have to start looking for a new coach who speaks French, according to this report, Saint Patrick just might be available...but perhaps we should be careful what we wish for...http://dld.bz/exGmu
I would take the chance. Most important part of the coach is to get his players going. eMTy could not get them to take a piss after drinking a 24 uniterupted.
I've heard multiple SFU 'journalists' citing that should CLOD be fired by the B's how he'd be the perfect fit for the Habs. To that I say, Fuck you. Would he be an upgrade over the current jackass? Yes, but then so would you, me or your local, friendly hobo.
No way, NO FUCKING WAY, should clod aka Jabba the Hutt be hired. No more fucking recycled coaches especially that prick who treats young players no better and likes to send his headhunters out at the end of a lost game. He has NO class or credibility. Fuck him. If Molson hires him I am done I shit you not and Mr. Molson will be getting a letter.
He's probably getting too old for the gig, but if BBJ actually gets a movie, I think Harbard is the obvious choice. He hasn't done a hockey movie since Mystery, Alaska. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0243806/?ref_=nv_sr_1
Ok so back to PFK...what the fuck is wrong with him? His neck still o have I missed a memo? Don't tell me...he has an "Upper body injury" - undisclosed of course...anyone care to fill me in please?
Since we are getting close to ice cream time, one more thing about the TWD season finale: I thought Robert Kirkman and Scott Gimple on The Talking Dead did an excellent job explaining why they ended the season the way they did. It wasn't a gimmick, it was the end of a particular story and next season is the beginning of a new story.
Lots of speculation as to why PK can practice hard but still can't play. Some of the posters at HI/O think MB has a deal in place with whoever gets the #1 pick with Subban involved. I've watched a lot of players I really liked get moved out over the years. Chelios, Roy, Muller, Desjardins, LeClair... If MB trades PK and keeps eMpTy I am done. See my comment above regarding Julien. I am on the edge after 56 years...
Is C29 in net?

I've watched a lot of players I really liked get moved out over the years. Chelios, Roy, Muller, Desjardins, LeClair... If MB trades PK and keeps eMpTy I am done. See my comment above regarding Julien. I am on the edge after 56 years...
