ReplyDeleteThe Kardashian of the Canadiens. In order to make a place for DDD we trade Lego for a bag of bricks, we move Superplexxe to the third line, we waste CH. There is not explanation.

They couldn't even get the empty bag without the bricks for DDD.

Yeah, who in their right mind keeps Tyrion but trades the Hound? therrien's universe revolves around DD, all personnel decisions are based on keeping the homeboy at all costs. The cap excuse (another one) would amount to about 600k, so that is bullshit. therrien got rid of his two doghouse faves and that was all that mattered.
I saw this comment this morning that rang true:
MB: "It's on me."
Max: "It's on me."
PK: "I have to be better."
AF: "It's everybody's fault but mine."
Its pretty clear CH would be as good as DDD, but the cap hit is 25%. We dont play moneyball.
DeleteGreat SF B BBB buck rodgers, man she was a tragic figure. Italian women on bikes yes, I am for bike lanes. KK and the KKK what a collision off the field.

ReplyDeleteHe is a better choice than gCHuck really?
Tranna also thinks Auston Matthews is better too, even though he's never played an NHL game.
DeleteOoh la la, sexy Saturday! That recipe looks yummy too. Love the pic o' da day.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of sexy, trying to spruce up the image a little. HUGE day tomorrow, my son is getting married so I had my hair coloured today and will go to have it set tomorrow morning.
Congratulations to you and the married couple juce!
DeleteMerci moeman.
Deletecongrats
DeleteDr Phil's advice for the Montreal Canadiens " You just gotta quit the DDD"
ReplyDelete4 days to football season. 2 days to my draft. 1 day left in my vacation. 0 days to me thinking the Habs will ever win anything with AF behind the bench.
ReplyDeleteGo Pats!
Drafting #5 overall - hoping Lamar Miller is still available.
I'll probably tune into the Rogers Jizzfest just to see how our new BBQ looks. Other than that, couldn't give a big hair rat's ass.
hair = hairy
DeleteMaybe your aware that the worlds largest shipping line Hainjin has gone bankrupt. This likely means no toys a Chistmas. Shipping world wide has been disrupted. The worlds supply of little souviever hockey sticks is stuck in China. For us its great news because DDD can not play without a stick.
ReplyDeleteSo to recap what is important to the tranna cuppers according to sn;
ReplyDeleteandersen, mathews and van reimsdick
our own Reneway was only a human hair behind mathews in PPG last year in the Swiss League. Our Leaky/Frodo had virutally the same draft year stats as the highly touted number 2 and 3 overall picks. I believe finally our ship is commming in on a rising tide of Euro kids.
DeleteSurprise, surprise, surprise. (a la Jim Gomer Pyle) Seems like the vibes are that people aren't too interested in tranna cup, headlines/articles are trying to give reasons why we should be excited about it. I may tune in just to see TFS.
Delete*a la Gomer Pyle
DeleteGuess I was thinking Jim Nabors while posting.
Wow, Peter Mansbridge will leave The Natiional after July 1st.
ReplyDeleteA really good article by Friedman at sn, about the PK and Taylor Hall trades. Two truths are revealed, therrien despised PK's style of play and it came down to a "he goes or I go" scenario and Les Canadiens chose their conservative, accept no responsibility type coach instead of the flashy, individualistic Norris Trophy winner. Players will conform or be moved. PK refused to conform so he was moved. I don't care how good or tough Shea Weber is, something about this whole thing doesn't feel right. I couldn't say for sure but I believe there will be some type of backlash against the Habs early in the season. For me personally, however this shakes out, after 56 years of rooting for this team, I honestly don't give a damn what happens to them one way or the other. If they win consistently, great. If they go in the toilet especially if Price goes down again, I don't care. How weird is that to feel this way? Either I'm getting more cynical as I get older or the Habs fortunes rate less and less on the importance scale. As for the tranna cup of buttman hockey, wake me up when it's over.
ReplyDeleteI read most of that article. Nearly nothing new.
DeleteThe only additional comment I'll make, for now, is I was somewhat surprised that TFS™ toed the company line and didn't say more about his low-five buddy. We know he knows BBQ, knows what he brings and CHannelled the GM. PFK is long gone, TFS™ remains as the hope to rest our hopes on. If he/they do well and I think they will, TFS™ gets signed long term. I predict SC Finals.
Also, too, regardless of the cash grab tranna cup, it is GREAT to see TFS™ on the ice and hearing him say how ready he is. The only oddly sad part is the better TFS™ does, the better the foxhole tenants do. I'll take it because I want wins, lots of wins and a SC Finals.
DeleteHey buddy! I respect your opinion on hockey matters and our Habitants as much as anyone. Price pretty much nailed it in as simple terms as possible. Back in the 50's, 60's and 70's I always thought the Habs played HOCKEY. Now, they play a "system". therriens "system" is based on Carey Price stopping everything. He couldn't change it last season and poor Mike Condon and to a lesser extent Scrivens got vilified. I have no faith in the current management, coaching and core of this team as it stands. Brian Wilde was right when he wrote about "Carey Price's Knee". You are far more optimistic than I am and I hope you are correct but I'm not feeling it. And I'm not alone. This group makes me long for the days of Gainey/Chokula and Saku/l'Artiste/Souray. How bad is that? Cheers!
DeleteHey the M.
DeleteI am in no way supporting the foxhole dwellers, especially mt2. I've stated many times that one of the things that bothers me in life is arrogance. There is never a place for it and for what they are worth, the foxholers exude it. Very un-CH.
the M. I`m starting to feel that way myself and I place full responsibility on MT and MB for making me feel this way. I hate that MT wasn`t fired and they used TFS`s knee as their excuse. Shame on them and shame on Molson for allowing it given how it`s no secret that MB & MT have a close personal relationship. Another excuse is ``ìt`s just business``. Well you don`t manage a hockey team based on personal friendships and EVERYONE knows that.
DeleteAlso quite telling is the fact that they would have traded PK for a draft pick with the `right name`.
DeleteHey moe.
DeleteI knew that you didn't support the foxholers but your support for the players remains unwavering. After last year's trainwreck they have a lot to prove to me. We'll see if they are up for it. Have a good one bro.
never underestimate the impact of civiliaztion, the game by Sid Meir. It proves in the real world a terrible defense can beat an awsome offense. That is our game, its pinball at the professional level. We shoot the puck hard and the flippers (wingers) deflect it in the hope we get a good score. I am going to believe that MT and Bergy have a fucking plan, that depends upon DDD. Like he is some kind of native talisman. This year is all about religion, all about scared scrolls we now are all in Allister Cromly territory and just waiting to see if the black heart likes the stanley cup.
DeleteOoh boy when did the summer end?????
ReplyDeleteBack at my "normal" life and just wanted to CHeck in. Only 37 days(-ish) til opening night. Yikes.
Here's a fun pic that will make you angry (especially juce! :))

Grrrr! JK, actually I like, let them leave it there forever.
Deleteyou can take PFK out of the city but you cant take the city out of PFK
DeleteNew season (calendar and hockey) time for a new avatar. Badass original 29 hockey mask
ReplyDeleteooh it looks even better than I dreamed. Angry black and white
DeleteLike Road Warrior badass
Delete"Just walk away and I'll let you live"
I believe the correct line is "I'll spare your lives" not "I'll let you live". I need accuracy in my pop culture references
DeleteExcellent choice. Dryden was near sighted and always squinting to see down the ice. You can almost see him doing it in the avatar.
DeleteVery à propos CHange. Love it.

ReplyDeleteLiking it!
Deleteboobpenis has a huge man crush on BBQ, PFK not so much
ReplyDeleteBabcock with high praise for Weber. Nice! Can't wait for the season to start!
ReplyDeleteOf course he has, he chooses the players.
DeleteThe added bonus of having TFS and BBQ is that blabs is a leaf. He can only wish to have these studs.
DeleteHeh. So true moe!
Deleteblabs has Matthews and kadri. So there. ;-)
DeleteGeorge Parros joins NHL player safety. Opah.
ReplyDeletefirst ban cryder for life, then ratface and the Jackel

DeleteNo surprise gCHuck is our top player under 25, Kid A 2nd and surprise CHevy is third. DDD remains our top player under 5ft.

ReplyDeletecarbon fiber exoskelitons and titanium air bag helments, make it so Mr Molson or are your troops just cryder fodder?
ReplyDeleteIn over 30 seasons in pro Hockey BBq has never been called for a crosscheck. This season it will be the season of the cross. mark me now.
ReplyDeleteBelieve in crowdsourcing. Habs fans knew two years before management that the Mexicant has a softer shot than Steve. We know have the same situation with DDD. But its worse, he has no shot. Its like playing shorthanded when he is on the ice. The PP becomes a 4 on 4. Stop the madness, listen to the mob.
ReplyDeleteIt is a thing of beauty watching DD trying to saucer pass through 50 players to find Max across the rink. And when he gets back to the bench, the coach says "Good job Davey". Even if the other team scores after the turnover.
DeleteThe name for the farm team next year will be the Laval Rocket
ReplyDeleteor if you prefer Club de hockey Rocket de Laval.
DeleteMartin Reway is currently hospitalized in Slovakia undergoing treatment for a virus. He will not attend Mtl training camp.
ReplyDeleteGet well soon.
a eMTy virus because it could hurt DDD. Seriously get well we love you and want to see you in a CH.
DeleteThanks for the birthday wishes kidz!
ReplyDeleteother famous birthdays today:
Bernie Sanders
Pink
The lovely Brooke Burke
and most importantly...
STAR TREK!!!!
Happy birthday and many more! Having a drink or two I hope?
DeleteBrook Burke, Star Trek, something cosmic for sure
DeleteThe Stars fucked me -Bobby Smith
DeleteSpeaking of Burke, Sean is a new Habs scout.
DeleteHe was just on the radio, says he's friends with Mellanby.
DeleteAlso that he'll stay in Arizona and scout out West.
DeleteWhen eMTy says he is going to shorten the bench, sadly he is beign literal.
