Heh, you know the SFU is flummoxed when their story of the day, yes its another leaf story, is that Blabs is 'earning his salary'. They all get new blew&whine kneepads for Xmas.
Patches pack your pocessions because your process has come to a PFK conclusion. You cant be helped. Dont shoot the messanger but I study trends and tidbits and am astoundingly right. You go after the capitain its like killing the King, you dont strike unless your sure of victory.
On that note, TVA debating AF's comments, I was surprised to hear Bossy say, 'we saw the same with PK and ran him out of town, is that the next step?" Not word for word but exactly that.
I would not be the least surprised to see Max shipped to the Islanders in some kind of multi-player deal. A New York area kid (Connecticut) and some prospects for Tavares? Wouldn't the SFLUffers shit their PANTS! over something like that??
It's totally bizarre that 20 games in and I can't shake these negative feelings I have towards my favourite team. Two words: Michel Therrien.
I was going to post a little comment last night when I saw that PFK had potted a couple but decided not to. He's no longer a Hab but he was a very special player. Besides, I didn't want Moey to throw something at me.
I also watched the game and I was very happy for PFK and I'll be watching tomorrow. I won't turn my back on him simply because AF's ego was actually bigger than PFK's. I once posted a few years ago 'don't worry PFK, you'll be here long after that asshole is gone'. Boy was I wrong, I never thought MB would pick his coach over a franchise player who just happened to be one of the top defenders in the league, was a marketing gold-mine for the Habs.
I haven't (and probably won't) watched any Nashville games. Ugliest uniforms in the world. Nope, just checking the scoring summaries to see if my hockey pool players are doing anything. Filip Forsberg is one of my left wingers.
Boy just caught the end of the first half of the MLS game. Surprise surprise a lot of SFU hand wringing going on over there too, with the Impact up by 2 on TFC. They have some ideas on how Toronto can get back into this thing though so don't worry.
While I don't really care which name the Vegas team uses, of the options I thought Desert Knights was most original. In reality they will mostly just be referred to as 'the Knights' anyway. I would have voted for Black Nights. NI! NI! NI! It's only a flesh wound!
Gareth Wheeler @WheelerTSN And the game is completely out of control. It's about survival. Games of this magnitude should be played on a proper surface.
3-2. TFC the better team over 90. Turf played a massive part. We will see a real game on grass next week. Entertaining, but nonsense.
PatCHes needs to learn French. When asked about AF's comments, he quite testily answered that AF told him his words were twisted. When further asked which words were twisted, he said 'they're twisted, you got it?" AF's comments in French were actually more stinging when you see him gesture with his thumb pointing behind him as he turns his head to the right as if to look back while saying Che and gCHyuk don't wait for Lb while he's way back at the red line to get him the puck, they go get it. I think Max knows all too well that no words were twisted, there was much coverage in English media as well and I'm sure any of his francophone mates could sit down and translate the other side for him. Keep towing the company line Max, I'm sure AF appreciates it.
I quit watching half way through the 3rd, it's so frustrating watching a half decent team coached by idiots (Kirk excluded). How do 3 red sweaters end up chasing a puck behind the net? That's Timbits hockey for fucks sake. The ridiculous Blender method is all that fool can muster. Bergevin better wake the fuck up before the tsunami swoon gets rolling and becomes unstoppable. Weak, weak, weak at center. Poor Davey, he drags every line down he plays on. He reminds me of a kid on my son's atom team. The poor little guy couldn't skate, had absolutely no skills, hardly ever touched the puck, the coach tried to "hide" him with the two best players on the team.
Galchenyuk and Radulov are the real deal. They need some help.
I had no feed last night so caught all the highlights I could bare...DDD pitched another shuttie...How long before he gets benched for real? Mind you he only got 8 and a half minutes so AF clearly resorted to shortening the bench and sweating the assets...It's fucking November for Christ sake - this shouldn't be happening. A lot of people are saying how down Habs fans are considering we are top of the league - but real Habs fan understand that we are just treading water. Where the fuck is DGMB these days? This is last year waiting to happen (and actually starting to happen). I remember it well...we won a lot of games to start the season, then a couple of injuries happened, then we started to lose close games we could have won, then we had a couple more injuries, then w lost a coulle and won a couple, then TFS got injured and the wheels fell off...So...@GMOLSONCHC wake the fuck up my friend. Your team is one step away from another season of oblivion. You have a coach who doesn't have a clue and a GM who has pulled the laine over your eyes for about 18 months now. A hockey team takes its direction from behind the bench. Michel Therrien doesn't have a fucking clue and the Habs are going to be in the serious shit by Christmas time unless you start paying attention. Something needs to happen...and pretty fucking fast!
You nailed it K3X. Habs fans aren't leaf fans. We realize it when something doesn't pass the smell test. Or the visual one. As good as their record was it was mostly the goaltending carrying the day. When it fails, the "system" collapses. Actually, there is no system, or one that I can recognize. I don't expect the Habs will win every game and that players make mistakes. But right now, once you get past Galchenyuk, Radulov and maybe a couple others, there is a huge drop off in skill. The Habs are NOT contenders only pretenders and if Bergevin truly believes he has a chance to win in the next couple years of Carey's prime, he better get fucking moving. This upcoming road trip will tell the tale especially if they go 0-for-California.
We may have seen the last of Hanley. Good news, no need for a nick. Didn't do anything to impress with his time in the lineup. Has Plaid been that bad that they can't keep him in the lineup? But I liked what we saw from Barberio last year, so that's all good.
Our fourth line tonite collectivly are not as tall or weigh as much a McD
ReplyDeleteAuto in, CH out. AF doesn't seem to like CH at all.
ReplyDeleteBecause of they past partying ways, I propose we dub the Che and gCHyuk line the AA line and also because both Alexanders. Plus we all love boooze.
ReplyDeleteGo Montreal!
ReplyDeleteGo you fucking Habs Go!!

ReplyDeleteHabs say precautionary.
Deleteemty's crutch is a little off tonight. I'm sure he'll come up with the appropriate excuses post-game, bad bounces, puck luck, the usual.
ReplyDeleteOne bright spot - I haven't seen davey on the ice yet in the third.
