This is a very tough time for the Habs and they don't need us banging on about shit their coach is so I won't. These games are the gut check that Bergevin should be using to determine what he does next. McCarron is read to play in the league. Under 10 minutes a game is ridiculous at this point, especially with KidA shitting the bed night after night. Ice time should have been reversed. What do they have to lose when they can't hold a 3-1 lead with under 10 minutes left. It is stuff like this that drives us mad and brings back the memories of last season. Playing just bad enough to lose a close game they should have won is stage 1...
No matter whether you hate the guys at SFU, Kypreos and MacLean (Doug) on Hockeycentral say the Habs don't have the depth to match up with the elite teams...and they're correct. We can shit on eMTy all day but it's MB that needs to identify what this team is lacking and try to correct it. That means adding top 6 offense. And yes it will come at a cost. But if you have the nads to trade PK knowing full well the fan outrage you would endure (and still feel by fans like our good friend juce :)) then there is no reason you can't do what it takes to get another bona fide top 6 guy. Yep there will be a price to pay, but don't sit back this year and in April when the boys are teeing off on the first hole tell us it was because of gCHuk's injury or some other excuse. A playoff spot is far from guaranteed and yes the current players need to step up and pull their collective heads out of their asses, but it's a slippery slope. Lose another 4 or 5 and you'll quickly see those teams in the Atlantic are breathing down your neck. Add a top sixer, get kidG and BBQ out of their funks and keep riding TFS. Get gCHuk and SSR back on top of this and there's no reason the east cannot be won by the Habs, despite the dickwad behind the bench.
I, for one, am sick and tired of "the goalie", whether Price or Roy, being our best player. I want a Beliveau, Cournoyer or Lafleur to watch and cheer for. Since they don't make those models any more, I'll take a Crosby, McDavid, Ovechkin, somebody that can actually make a play or score an important goal. Get off your fucking ass Bergevin and get a player. You think you can win now. Prove it and give up your futures for NOW. It's been 5 years for you and nearly 25 years for Habs fans. We're sick and tired of being also rans and being pushed around. I'm tired of the same fucking excuses.
Anyone else think that Team Latvia can beat Team Canada Jrs? No? Funny because tsn has a front page headline suggesting that Latvia leaf draftee might just spoil things. Who else thinks this shit up? FWIW they also had a leaf draftee in net for the US today, to spoil things. Funny thing, the US netminder ain't the leaf pick. One wonders what goes through the mind of the SFU.
I kid you not, I tuned into USA/Russia sometime in the 2nd period (I think) and the very first words I heard out of Ferraroar's mouth were slagging CHevy's play and how despite his goal against Canada, he has been underachieving. Fast forward and I tune back in with about 4 minutes left, finish watching the game and who is named Russia's player of the game but our very own Lada...er CHevy. Fuck you Ray. Fuck you Tronna. Fuck you CotU.
Question now is when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em. I usually don't over-imbibe whilst playing cards but seeing as I'm off this week, there could be a drunk front moving in from the west. And it certainly can't hurt my game.
Enjoy your evenings all. Oh yeah, and fuck you AF.
Not too many watching this game after that shit show last night I'd guess.
I'm watching Canada/Latvia, Juulsen looks half decent, I hope fuckface and jj are fired before they can get their slimy clutches on him. They've already ruined N8.
I hope I'm seeing the Habs future coach, Dominic Ducharme in this junior game. He certainly has the number one qualification. I think he knows how to handle talent as well.

ReplyDeleteIf I was Geoff Molson I'd fill that foxhole with dirt and bury those two clowns.
ReplyDeleteWhy do the Habs suck every fucking December?
What me worry ? it's the yearly O FOR slump. Let's just hope no one sleeps at the wheel and it carries over to January and March
DeleteAll that 'leadership' is going to lead them right to the bottom of the pile. Even Senaturds are breathing down their necks now.

Nice catch. The SFU have been slagging him all week. Wonder why?
DeleteBefore I go, I nominate CHrisT! as a nickname for Chris Terry. Just putting that out there.
ReplyDeletelike it
DeleteSamosas. Leffe Blonde.
ReplyDeletePatches scores goals from the top of the circle, get Patches the puck at the top of the cirlce. Thank You.
ReplyDeleteI hope BBQ is injured, Y just lapped him
ReplyDeleteI'll hazard a guess as to why the SFUckers are slagging CHevy, they know he is better than any leaf prospect.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if they are aware he plays in Windsor ... Ontario? Is that too far away fro the CotU?
get a shot on goal
ReplyDeleteDDD fights better
ReplyDeletePatches, great work all round boys

amen, all JJ seems to do is pat the players on the ass after every shift, NTTAWWT

ReplyDeletewe won 3-2 in OT, Jack Adams for eMTy. I would rather get a lottery pick for the next three years than get put out in the second round forever.
ReplyDeleteSeems TFS is blaming his average play on his kids. Thats it, from now on all of our players are sterlized at the draft. Who needs kids.
