I never get tired of that picture of the young lady shoveling the sidewalk. Is that outside of Chez Paris or somewhere else.
Went bar hopping last night, Picaroons, Big Tide Brewing Company, Hop Scotch Whisky Bar (my fave), The Eightys Arcade Bar, Five and Dime and finished up at Callahans. Haven't done that in years, probably going to need a nap later.
I like re-using it in à propos situations. I think it might be Chez Parée. Maybe 29 can take a quick visit to confirm.
Shovelling out more snow on a sunny Saturday. Today its the flower garden area. Got to give then some breathing room and open up the beds to the sunshine.
theM., you know its another afternoon game right?! CatCH a few ZZZs early.
Yahoo...an afternoon game and I can pick up the cbc stream with hidemyass.all I need now is for the Habs to get their ass in gear and win. Go you fucking Habs go!
Teams that have changed their coaches have been winning, teams coming back from the bye-week have not. Habs fall under both a new coach and first game back, so I'm hoping they strike positive under both categories. GYMFHG!
Wait, I think they are the only team coming out of the buy-week to play under a new coach, so I think that gives them an advantage to buck the bye-week trend.
Plaid said he used to feel like he had “someone breathing down my neck all the time” Not the fist time he's said something like that, I think the poor guy sometimes got scratched or sent down even when he played well. Let's hope he gains some confidence.
I had to know. The woman shovelling the snow is Erica Simone, a New York artist. She has a series of Nue York photos (as in Nude York I guess). http://ericasimone.com/gallery/nue-york/
The boys all sound relieved with the change. I just heard he has a 5 year contract, so we'll have him for at least 3 years so let's give him some rope and hope he doesn't choose to hang himself with it.
Squid is a shooter. He needs somebody to set up those one-timers of his. I nominate CHe. Max and gCHuk are both shooters as well. Let them sort it out.
It's gorgeous, went to IGA and actually for the red light i/o jay-walking (but I am a cautious jaywalker, cross at corners and only when no cars around not like some winners you see).
Lot of talk about the Senaturds being 4pts behind the Habs with 3 games in hand but FLA 4pts behind the sens with 1 game in hand so things could change. A leaf win may be a good thing.
On Saturdays throughout the NHL season, Hockey Night in Canada games can be seen on CBC-TV, CBCSports.ca and the CBC Sports app, where they'll be streamed live for free.
last yr, and this yr when they took that barnstorming CHarge outta gate, all i wanted was for them to go 3-2-1 rest of season. since then, they went 18-18-7. i am uneasy with firing somebody who is in first place like juice said, but it is what it is. there was/is plenty of blame to share with the primary reason: soft play.
Clod wont allow that, so i guess thats a good thing. if he can manage this team into a favourable first round match-up, anything is possible at that point b/c carey will finally have a playoff round victory.
if we dont win this year, we are in cap hell, TFS and Che top heavy. Its this year or start over/ Keep gCHuck Leko and Dano, trade everyone else for top prospects that age or picks next year
Nobody and I mean nobody on this team is untouchable, Price included. If, by the deadline, this bunch has dropped to wild card status and are still falling, I would field calls on anybody. Good high-end prospects, 1st round picks for the likes of Weber, Price, Pacioretty -- bring it on. Time to tear this sucker down and get a true franchise player like McDavid or Matthews. Who's with me?
I'm watching some golf and ironically just read this amusing analogy: "Bargain Bergy keeps dredging the pond for Titleists and only comes up with old range balls aka 5th line puds. Too Funny!!
One poster listed off a ton of elite high-end centers (Seguin, e.g.) and scoring wingers (Hall, e.g.) who have been traded recently yet the estimable GM keeps saying "they are not available". Bullshit Marc. I hope your next 5 year plan works out for you. It starts next year btw.
Jack should stick to baseball or get some new glasses. I'm not buying any of those lame excuses. I watched a supposedly weak defensively but big, fast Jets team run the Habs out of their own building. Connor Hellebucyk could have had a ham sandwich during that game and still hold the puny Habs off. I remember when there were 6 minutes left in the 2nd period Montreal only had 11, count'em -- 11 -- shots on goal. If Price hadn't brought his A game (finally) CJv2 would have been supremely embarrassed in his not so triumphant return.
I highly doubt they can beat the Rangers in New York and the Islanders are red hot lately so that leaves the SFU-loved leaf this Saturday night to maybe get Claude a win.
One good thing, I guess, the Sens lost Hoffman and Stone today and Bobby Ryan is gone as well. That will probably slow them down. Maybe the Habs can back into the playoffs.
I mercifully missed CJ2's second first game. I dvr'd it but it sounded like such a dud i didn't bother watching past the first. Didn't like what I was seeing. The one thing I will say about BBB and his 'trading for a top centre' is hard thing. He hasn't failed to pull surprise moves, so I expect he has something up his sleeve and if so, it's probably not something any of the so-called experts have talked about to date. So I wouldn't even venture a guess, but I can't see him leaving this team as is. That's my 2¢.
So far this 2nd half of the season is looking far better than anything in the past season and a half, especially the first half of this season. Jadis is a great character. But Winslow was the best! RIP

It's not Chez Paree. There are no residential houses like that across from Chez Paree. I am in full examination mode, I will look for, um, more clues

ReplyDeleteNot often you hear someone happy about the cbc. :o)
DeleteNot so much the cbc as the unfettered stream...
Deleteyeah, I knew that :)

Nice find!
DeleteWonder if it kept 29 from 'Investigating'?
Squid a healthy scratch for the Devils tonight. I wouldn't mind having him back. I'm pretty sure #13 is available.
ReplyDeleteYeah I think a line of Squid-Dano-kidA could do some damage.
DeleteSquid is a shooter. He needs somebody to set up those one-timers of his. I nominate CHe. Max and gCHuk are both shooters as well. Let them sort it out.

Delete*waited* for the red
DeleteYep. A week ago, not so much.
DeleteGhtto, Plaid and DDD are scratched, McM in.
ReplyDeleteLot of talk about the Senaturds being 4pts behind the Habs with 3 games in hand but FLA 4pts behind the sens with 1 game in hand so things could change. A leaf win may be a good thing.
ReplyDeleteZebras are Eric Furlatt (#27) and Marc Joannette (#25)
ReplyDeleteCJ2's dad has a 'street sign' attached to his house that reads "ruelle Bruins lane", Louis Jean says it looks like you have some work to do with that.
ReplyDeletemclame, you leaf hack, its pronounced Julien not jewelian, you fucking leaf hack.
ReplyDeleteHe also has some Habs framed pics on the wall and other stuff.
ReplyDeleteI spotted an autographed pic of the pocket-rocket.
DeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's a lot of baby blue you're donning, DGMB.
ReplyDeleteAnyone else see the irony of 'hockey day in Canada' hosted on tva?
ReplyDeleteI hadn't even noticed.
DeleteRefs pic where to play their last game when they retire.
ReplyDeleteSo 4 Quebec refs today.
ReplyDeleteMcLame is going to go absolutely apeshit.

ReplyDeleteZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ.....Snort.....Wha?......What'd I miss??
ReplyDeleteOh look they're winning!
So, I'm thinking the nap was good.
DeleteKind of hoping/wanting a BBQ breakaway and him winding the howitzer.
ReplyDeleteLooks like Price has found his game again. Like Moey said must be a coincidence.
ReplyDeleteFirst time I buy a South African wine. Its on sale at $12.95, $2 off. Worth it.
ReplyDeleteCJ2's 1st game was Jan 18, 2003 with Vodkov in the line-up and he welcomed him back with the 1st goal.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip moe 🍷
ReplyDeletewhere do u guys go for streaming? i use batmanstream.com but their resolution is usually 640x360
ReplyDelete+1 for that squid comment. i was thinking the same thing... back in sept! and the answer to his linemate would be DDD and kidG
I think you can try here.
DeleteCBCSports.ca

DeleteI am streaming the cbc feed but with hidemyass so they think I am in Canada. Cbc stream only works in Canada. I love hidemyass!
DeleteGo Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!
ReplyDeleteWow, what fresh air out there. T-shirt and shorts and finally cleared the deck.

ReplyDeleteVodkov cross-checked. 4 on 4

ReplyDeleteJeez only 11 shots on goal? C'mon guys wake the fuck up.
ReplyDeleteSo just back Frome dinner...pizza express and a couple big peronis ...wha'd I miss?

DeleteGo score damnit.
ReplyDeleteTFS!
ReplyDeleteJets EN.
ReplyDeleteA demain mes ami(e)s.
ReplyDeleteWell that kinda ducked similarly to before...
ReplyDeleteTVA trashing the team...see it wasn't the coach.
ReplyDeletePatCHes asked if he thought TFS had a good game, says we win as a team, we lose as a team. hmmmm
ReplyDeleteOf 16 teams back from the bye-week only 3 wins and 3 loser points.

DeleteYes, if it isn't top 6 scoring help then it's no help at all.
