I'm back. Not sure just got signed out automatically and it wouldn't let me sign back in.
One more musical designation. It's for the secondary scoring of the Habs and I dedicate I Saw the (red) Light. But it has to be The The's version from the excellent tribute album to Hank Williams called Hanky Panky.
https://youtu.be/ijKKL5t8b04
Now I'm so happy, no sorrow in sight Praise the Lord, I saw the (red) light
- now praising the Habs and DMB after all of their hockey people called the Habs losers, google it - friedman, like all SFU makes it about himself, STFU fatboy - hahahrudey calls KidA's play dirty, buck up buttercup - you can smell the SFU desperation, their Habs hate will come to bite them in their leaf-loving asses - friedman forced to talk about Laine, his vote is already in the bag for Matthews, regardless of what Laine does - be fun to see TAM make the playoffs, make the Shamaplan Boyle over
Game circumstances demanded it but when was the last time a Hab kept the opponent at bay like So did in the last 30 or so seconds (thanks to CJv2). He even laughed it off. TFS™ must be fucking thrilled. Superb team effort and win tonight.
By playing in Florida Stinky is likely making at least a million more than for the same contract in TO. I still wish boys that grew up somewhere would take the hometown discount. How much more money does he need.
I was still commenting on the other blog but what I said was "great character win" and "Y and N8 didn't really look up to the job. Everyone else had a pretty good game" Does it make us hypocrites to like seeing SO on the ice for the Habs in the last 30 seconds of a 4-1 game?
Y is like big TiTs playing D, and N8 seems to forget its an NHL game not a charity fundraiser some times. However nobody is perfect and I hope CJ2 can find their better angels by playoff time. I am still drooling over that Laine like Leko shot. What we need is a guy of any size who has great vision, playoff experience and is good in the room to center for him.
Good morning peeps! I'm late joining in because I watched the game on delay, it was movie night for Mr. and Mrs Maritimer.
First, YOU GUYS WERE ON FIRE LAST NIGHT!!. I so enjoyed reading all the comments this morning. That was the best game I have seen them play in a long, long time. Assertive from start to finish. A statement game as the leaf loving SFUckers like to say, but I'm thinking they didn't like what the Habs stated last night: "Nobody is pushing us around any more."
This was the first game I've seen since last Saturday, I'd given up on the weekday games, but I may start watching again as it seems the eMTy stench has been cleansed.
Kudos to the Habs pro scouts, J&B is a keeper. Thor, what can I say, the guy was wielding Mjolnir all night long. He threw 50% or more of the hits last night it seemed and made a couple of really good plays as well. That 4th line was out there a lot and gave the Rags fits all night long. Loved the sequence at the end when Miller gave Dish the two hander to the face, then he skated past Price who gave him a whack in return, then Miller circled back only to have So in his face giving him an earful. Fucking wonderful! HRH didn't do a lot and seemed a tad slow, I'll blame it on jet lag. He'll be a good 3rd liner. I would say Errol's time is up with the Habs. Oh yeah, beauty goal by Leko, did you see the bend on that stick when he shot? Wow.
Like Saint Paddy said in last night's thread, they may not go far in the playoffs, but they are going to be fun to watch if they keep playing CJv2's style. They will be a handful for whoever they end up playing.
Might be an idea to sit (Y) for a game or two to see if he gets his mojo back. I will give credit to the HNIC crew last night for pointing out a couple of errors I missed. Let's hope it improves quickly. N8 however is another story. He looked really out of sorts. Not confident and sure with the puck.
I've been watching Timeless all along. I like it too, curious to see where it goes.
I'm an old comic book fan and I have enjoyed the adaptations for the most part. In my opinion, Marvel's movies have left DC in the dirt but I am hoping Superman's company will rebound beginning with the new Wonder Woman movie this summer. They (DC) just have to stop taking themselves so seriously.
On your recommendation I will try out The Expanse at the first opportunity, probably this summer after the Habs win the Cup. Wait. What?
The collective wisdom of the fandom has found a new whipping boy, Why O (Y). A (Y) has to know his limitations. The pressure of being N2 seems to have fried his brain. If he does not have a few games in the press box TFS will have PTSD.
This is a team made to survive the Zombie Apocoylpse. A Homeless Habs powered by fourth line dumpster diving. We have the best bottom 12 in the leauge now. If we win the cup it will change everthing. Teams always copy the winner, we will be able to trade some of our bottom 12 for former superstars.
Meanwhile the Canucks try to save their horror of a season by starting Stephen King (though they tried to hide that fact) in net last night. And it worked! Scary shit. Team's looking a bit Thinner these days.
imagine if that happened and I can see it. ITs a biz and why not do your biz in Van instead of Montreal, the only thing stopping the move might be that TFS has young children and Fuckishima is hitting Vancover like a glowing slow motion wall. Nevertheless that franchise would have burned through three franchise goalies in that event. They would be better off with a plywood screen and the corners cut out, in fact to increase scoring in the NHL lets just do away with the goalie and go for four cornors to got with the four quarters that exist in the long range Buttman plan to change Hockey into a combination of basketball and NASCAR on ice.
If this team was on the walking dead we could take the Surviors with hockey sticks. I have a really good feeling. Nobody can score anymore, thats why marriage is trending up. We have the best goalie, we have a great D man, we have a great sniper and gCHuck the unknown. That is enough to win the cup.
im so stoked for tm. lately stupid nhl had them come to town in stupid octobre or novembre but this time i get to watch champions league, pass out for a bit and then continue the fun with everybody else.
i dont know if any of u guys know this, but all the bars dt are packed on game nights... with everybody in red! its awesome. the few bandwangon canucks who pop in are almost always jeered and made fun of.
if any of you are here... msg me. lets go for a beers.
Pretty sure you're our only left coaster oleg. Do us proud. I lived in PG for a number of years but that was somehow 20 years ago. Where the hell has time gone? And that's quite a hike to the coast.
Ack.

ReplyDeleteThor should have a guest spot of Vikings for sure
ReplyDeleteLove a game with zero line blending.
ReplyDeleteShaken not stirred.
DeleteMy Habs heart dedicates this game to the remembrance of the great Boom Boom Geoffrion.
ReplyDeleteIf J&B grows a playoff beard what will happen if the puck gets shot in there? Delay of game?
ReplyDeleteYou mean like this?

ReplyDelete2 more points for Laine.
ReplyDeleteOTT up 2-1 on CBJ.
Blabs still overrated.
Broons 3-2 over NJ. If they win, they`ll be 4pts ahead of the leaf
DeleteOoh
DeleteThe majority of the SFU (who own the hockey airwaves) labelled the Habs 'losers' at the TDD.
ReplyDeleteyour a brave man Staal, feel Thor
ReplyDeleteSo you can`t go near Hank but you can take out TFS? Better punish Stall too.
ReplyDeleteThey did.

ReplyDeleteStatement victory, I hope Thor gets a star. Just like CJ2, I think I can come to love SO
ReplyDeleteI love what TFS did to the Rag.
ReplyDeleteMight be the best played team game of the season.
ReplyDelete+25
DeleteOh no. I would fear meeting the Senators in the playoffs. They got Burrows.
ReplyDeleteYeah, the Habs and the other 6 teams that 'regret' not trading and signing him.
DeleteHabs win, Sens win, Jets win.
ReplyDeleteNone of this makes the SFU happy.
Broons won also.
DeleteCBJ rookie Werenski with two more points. Another Calder candidate who will get screwed over when the votes are tallied.
ReplyDeleteGo EDM and VAN, make the SFU eat it.
ReplyDeleteHere we go;

A lot less dump and chase and more puck-carrying.

Update. Just saw on the news that rink fight in Saint John 'might' have been alcohol related according to police. You're in good hands the M.
ReplyDeleteJust saw Logan, pretty intense movie. Hugh Jackman bows out in style.
ReplyDeleteI might have to check out this Junior B playoff hockey. I still like going to the old LBR, lot of history in that joint.
I am not a huge comic book adaptation fan, the X Men and Batman franchise are exceptions to the rule and anything with Thor.
