  1. Irish musical notes;

Not big on all their tunes but The Coors are great musicians and some very good looking lasses (and lad).

Song of the day remains my fave U2 tune.

  5. There was quite an uproar yesterday over a promo pic for a bar in Vancouver which featured a pint of Guinness with the head spilling over the rim. The Irish take a proper pour of their sacred suds very seriously. So the bar later issued a new pic with a proper pint and offered a free one today for anyone with an Irish passport. When my daughter went to Ireland a few years ago she toured the brewery which actually had a 'course' on how to pour a perfect pint and got a graduation certificate.

  7. moeman, you have outdone yourself (and not just because of the very kind addition of my humble etchings - cheers and exxxtra shots of Jamie's to you for that!)

A wonderful and crafty Irish compilation of SF-ness the likes of which the interwebs have surely never seen before. I commend you sir!

  9. I suspect that timing of the number of up-coming games scheduled between the Habs and senaturds and the announcement of their outdoor game is not merely a coincidence

    Faith and Begorrah!!

As fine a gathering of Celtic beauties as I have ever seen!! I too caught the picture of Terry O'Reilly shaking 29's hand but I forgot about Knuckles heritage. Incidentally, Chris' Dad was a GREEN beret in the Marines. Outstanding. If you get a chance read his book called "Fighting Back", quite a story of his life so far.

Kudos to the Black Hawks last night for keeping the turds in their place. Now the Habs have to flush them this weekend.

  11. "... a matchup of founding NHL franchises who launched 100 years of remarkable history for our league and our fans," NHL commissioner Gary Bettman said.

That must surely be kinfe in the heart of the SFU.

Let's hope they don't forget to pack their plungers in their equipment bags.

  14. As with the 'Hamburgler', albeit not with the run of games he had, the senaturds would not be where they are without Sheik.

I am married to a half irish girl (for me the most beautiful Irish girl) and along with the Scots you just have
to say the most socialble people in the world, but if you cross them
deadly, so if I were the IMF I would not buy green bananas.

The Celts like to think of themselves as badass but in truth they were all put in chains by the Anglos and like everyone the city of london, as William Wallace said lets all shout today with green snot flowing from our nose FREEDOM. Channeling Ho Chi Min I would say so far the Scots are beyond reproach with tech things, if it was not invented is Scotland its propably vapourware, and teh Irish are tops a emotions, like Van Morrison and lititure that makes you cry and love, when all the potates have the blight.

Speaking of freedom we have Kodi which has to have some provedence from Edward Teach.
There was a question about favorites in Exodus which I can answer. You need to do a couple of techie things to save favourites in Exodus. Not above my ability but why bother. Use Primewire, fav is just a click on the remote or the mouse, depends if you are on a computer or an adroid device.

the Coors cover of everybody hurts is sublime

  18. Heard this great rendition of Tura Lura Lural by The Band and Van Morrison on Melnick. Funny how you can forget some great musical stuff as you get older.

  19. Over in Killarney, many years ago
My Mother sang a song to me in tones so sweet and low,
Just a simple little ditty, in her good ould Irish way,
And I'd give the world if she could sing That song to me this day.

    [Refrain]
    Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
    Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
    Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
    Hush now don't you cry!
    Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
    Too-ra-loo-ra-li,
    Too-ra-loo-ra-loo-ral,
    That's an Irish lullaby.

    [Verse 2]
Oft, in dreams I wander To that cot again,
I feel her arms a huggin' me As when she held me then.
And I hear her voice a hummin' To me as in days of yore,
When she used to rock me fast asleep Outside the cabin door.

    3. "It's not even close, what they saying." Radulov said Friday, according to TSN's John Lu. "I don't even know how this .. I just don't want to even discuss that because it's nothing I can really control.

"I was sick yesterday, and I got a phone call from my agent, (who said), 'there's something going on, some people talking,' so I was like 'Who's talking? No one knows nothing about it,' so I even talked to Marc (Bergevin) today and it's like someone throw it in the Internet, or whatever it was, and it doesn't make sense."
