That's pretty much a fait accompli, every ex-Hab comes back to bury their old team. Expect CHicken and zaCH to score too. 5-1 Oil, cause BBB's dumpster diver team can only pot 1 or 2 a game anyway. I seem to remember Cam Talbot shut them out the last time they played at the not so Belle.
I'm hoping for the loser point but will one goal scored at least.
You take a Saturday night off and look what happens! This is a big big game and one of the new boys needs to sit on DDD early. He'll take a cheap penalty and all will be well. Whatever happens - just fucking win muthers! Go you fucking Habs go!
Happy lost hour day. I'll tune into the game, but there's a bunch of other sports shit happening too, not to mention TWD which I'm still holding out hope for. I see Vaclav Popsicle knocked off #1 ranked Andy Murray. We got a new Canadian golfer to cheer for with Adam Hadwin leading the way in some no-name tournament. The Brier final with NF vs Canada tonight. The leafs, sens and flames won last night...OK, forget that one. Not surprisingly however, it appears Canada's baseball team sucks. There's some sort of tournament going on.
Not going to watch this one tonight...still too late for a school night. One bonus of the clocks moving forward in Canada this weekend is that I get 2 weeks with only 4 hrs difference on east coat games. 1100 pm starts are bearable...so anyway...Just fucking win! Go you Fucking Habs Go!!
kmaxxx: u better watch bucko! u cant go slamming DDD like that w/o watching a preview (lets hope) of the final this yr.
i forgot to include DD as another to have a big game tn. somehow, he was briefly our no.2 before toker. am i right, or am i high? (where is the guy btw? did he just simply suck it in training camp the yr after the kreider incident and got shuffled off to mars?)
Adam Hadwin gets the win and a trip to the Masters. Unfortunately, he'll have to postpone his honeymoon to the French Polynesias. I'm sure the million or so he won today will make up for it.
Caesar salad and CHicken. I stopped at a NBLC outlet the other day, they aren't carrying London Pride or Smithwicks any more. I'm pissed! Those were my two favourites.
OK, I'm bowing out for a bit, got a couple of shows I want to get caught up on. When or if I make it back, the mute button will be on, bob cold after all...
is it just me, or is talbot pretty good? not good-good, but like m. leighton, b. bishflop, c. ward and whoever else mtl makes look good in the playoffs?
Saw something at the beginning of the game, I believe he has the most starts, most minutes played, faced the most shots and I forget the 4th he also ranked 1st in.
Looks like the Habs are still a scoring machine. Man, CJv2 wanted to spread the scoring around... and he has! Zeros all around!! In two and two-thirds of a game they've scored ONE FUCKING GOAL!!! BY A FOURTH LINER!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
Are Bryan Elliott and Cam Talbot that good? Seriously?
All I can say is: Bring on the tank. The serious 1st overall pick tank. Start the next 5 year plan. Please. These guys are pitiful.
yes!! bobby initally called it kidG's but whatever, the important thing is it was LBS from dano and kidG! suck on that u guys! smurf 2.0! hay captain! wake up! this is the new first line! woooooo wooooooo!
The SFU and Toronto media will tell us that the leaf are Canada's team. The optics out west and even in the deep south tell a different story. They will keep spinning their narrative but real hockey fans know better.
Wow! That game in Norway went eight hours and 35 minutes, 8 OT, 217 min and 14 sec breaking a 1936 record between Montreal Maroons and Detroit's 176 min and 30 sec, 6 OTs with Detroit scoring the only goal. Storhamar Dragons 2-1 over Sparta Warriors.
I read that some relatives of people at the game were calling police reporting them missing. Seriously?
Schedule on ESPN also shows ticket availability for upcoming games. As of this writing, for Tuesday's games there are 105 available from $94 for Hawks vs Montreal and for the Bolts vs Senaturds game there are 384 from $14. Fourteen dollars? That won't even score you 2 beers at the Bell Centre. If I only had to pay $14 to see the Habs on home ice, I`d be a regular.
David Desharnais played 12:11. That’s less time than he had on the RDS pre-game show Once again I ask nobody how could we keep DDD and trade Lego. We sure could use him now. LB making plays that earlier in the season were duds. TWD another click bait episode
I remain committed to TWD, but this season has gone nowhere fast and is testing my allegiance and patience. Good news is Into the Badlands starts up next week after TWD.
Good News micofracture Stone will be out this week for the turds. Also idiot savant coach will not be able to coach, its a Digital Millimum Copyright action, Warner Bros claims Frankenstiens intellectual property has been appropriated without permision.
OK, fair warning, this is at the SFU cesspool aka snet... ml$e trying to rescue the average leafool from scalpers. Talk about some fucked up logic. Will the Habs follow suit? Without question. In the NHL, greed knows no bounds.
Hey Steve I know you're a big Pollyanna fan. I started watching Hal and Leonard tonight. Really good show from Sundance and Pollyanna is killer! Literally. And dressed to kill too. And if your thing is really large breasts, there's also Christina Hendricks. But like most stuff he's in, I find Michael Kenneth Williams steals most scenes he's in. Ever since seeing him as Omar in The Wire, he's been one of my favourite actors. But yeah, Pollyanna and Christina bring a different element.
Fucking Ratface could take home the Rocket's trophy. Actually I've always said to my Broon friends that if he just focused on hockey, he could be a damn good player. 2 Halifax area boys tied for second in league scoring. We've got some good water down here.
Go Habs Go!
ReplyDeleteChe seems ready to go.
ReplyDeleteJust say No to the Nattering Nabobs of Negativity
ReplyDeleteGo You Fucking Habs Go!
el capitan said this would be a big bounce back game considering how craptacularly they fizzled out vs those flamers.
ReplyDeleteque the match: DDD's first chance for revenge against all u guys (except steve). i hope edm wins it off his stick.
DeleteI'm hoping for the loser point but will one goal scored at least.
It bears repeating: "See what we are reduced to."
omg! i just saw in the papers hes playing with CHicken and zaCH! hahahhahahhahahah
ReplyDeleteGood read.

Pollyana Macintosh
DeleteMeh. Why has the language of that group devolved so quickly? It's only been 3-4 years since this started.

Harley not in vs his former team. Thor out, Che in.
ReplyDeleteI time into the golf.16th hole and the Canadian up by 2. He tees off and splash! Suddenly it's tied with 2 to go.
ReplyDeleteTime=tune

DeletetheM. do they sell beer in local grocery stores in your neck of the woods?
DeleteNope, wine only. Maybe someday we'll be civilized down here.
DeletePasta, ceasar salad.
Delete18h25, still light out!
ReplyDeleteJust a few more weeks and we'll be hitting the links!
DeleteLove it. I hate when it's always dark out.

ReplyDeleteCASH IT!
ReplyDeleteSmarten up ffs.
ReplyDeleteShaw for hooking.
ReplyDeletePPP = pitiful powerplay.
ReplyDeleteSo not the greatest 1st period ever...but scoreless... pPp looks pretty useless. Tfs looks pretty good. Go you fucking Habs go!
ReplyDeleteZaCH and So both talking with crazy eyes.
ReplyDeleteWe miss 2 open nets, then Lucy scores.
ReplyDelete(Y) needs to make Lucy lose it.
ReplyDeleteYeesh. The Habs need to learn how to pass the puck.
ReplyDeleteScrew you 4 mins. Hendricks was pinching his nose for a least 30secs to make it bleed.
ReplyDeleteYet no call earlier when KidA got slashed in the ear.
ReplyDeleteGood thing the PK is better than the PP
ReplyDeletePick up the broken sticks damnit.
ReplyDeleteis it just me, or is talbot pretty good? not good-good, but like m. leighton, b. bishflop, c. ward and whoever else mtl makes look good in the playoffs?

DeleteHoly! Norweigen hockey game between Storhamar and Sparta is going into its 8th OT, concessions are sold out nothing left.
ReplyDeleteMcDavid is damn fast. Didn't watch 2nd. Curling tied @ 5 in 8th. Great match.
ReplyDeleteI posted to my friend's Facebook that works out in Calgary the Habs are just like him. Can't score in Alberta.
ReplyDeleteLooks like the Habs are still a scoring machine. Man, CJv2 wanted to spread the scoring around... and he has! Zeros all around!! In two and two-thirds of a game they've scored ONE FUCKING GOAL!!! BY A FOURTH LINER!!! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

They're getting shots and chances but no finish.
ReplyDeleteDue to supply and demand, wings have been taken off the menu. The chicken was rotting in the cooler
ReplyDeleteAt least this period looks better than the first 2 but just....can't....score.
ReplyDeleteHabs fans in Edmonton reacting when the refs don't make a call.

ReplyDeleteNice bank the points
How the hell does PatCH mess an EN twice with no one around? Takes him 3 shots.
ReplyDeletePatches. 4 to 1 win where the headline does not tell the story
ReplyDeleteSounds like the Bell Centre.
ReplyDelete50 years of hnic anti-Habs bias just hasn't worked.
The SFU and Toronto media will tell us that the leaf are Canada's team. The optics out west and even in the deep south tell a different story. They will keep spinning their narrative but real hockey fans know better.
DeleteAdd Ottawa and Winnipeg where half the arena is made up of Habs fans.
DeleteI coined it back at the old cbc hockey blog a decade ago, 'leaf fan aren't hockey fans, just leaf fan'. Remains forever true.
Holy crap! I just noticed all the Habs fans in the crowd! Katz couldn't have been too happy about that.
ReplyDeleteAll $ for him.
DeleteThere was a fan end of game holding a sign to the glass asking TFS if he could have his stick.
Deleteshould have seen it coming. LB came from cgy ddnt he?
ReplyDeleteoh well... not the statement game i was looking for, but still a win thnx to TFS saving the game on that chance by maroon. again, more irony?
They are a frustrating team to watch for sure.
ReplyDeleteTrue, for a back in first place (see header pic), after only 24 hrs, after 142 straight days.
DeleteKidA really looking like KidA.
ReplyDeleteYep, motoring all game long.
DeleteHope the Senaturds enjoyed their 24hrs in 1st. Thanks for keeping it warrm.
ReplyDeleteSo many of my Ottawa friends were ripping me last night. They're cute.
DeleteNow they play each other 3 times in 8 nights I think it is. Who comes up with this?
DeleteGreat day in Canadian sport with Popisil, Gushue, golfer guy and of course Le Canadien de Montréal.
ReplyDeleteNight folks! See y'all tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteCalling it a night too, à la prochaine

A classic comment from Boone re: DDD.
DeleteCJv2 would have given Lego a fair shot unlike the fucking moron that preceded him. Imagine the Danish Viking and Norwegian Thor on the same line...
I have TWD stored on my PVR, should I bother watching?
TWD, more backstory of minor characters for the most part. But not the worst of the season by far.
DeleteI remain committed to TWD, but this season has gone nowhere fast and is testing my allegiance and patience. Good news is Into the Badlands starts up next week after TWD.
