Love that Stranger Thinks app. It came up with 'Stranger Dog like mammal' for my dog. That's spot on.
Mercifully I'll be at a retirement party out at sea tonight as my cousin retires from the Navy so no game for me. I fully expect the goalie in red, white and blue to pull out of his funk tonight.
The answer is in the room. Question is what room? Have they checked LHO's hotel room? Or have they checked the old Club Super Sexxxe building? The new tenant will likely find lots of surprises.
Anyway ahoy as I'm off to sea (Being Halifax Harbour).
Former Canadien David Desharnais will return to the Bell Centre for the first time since he was traded to Edmonton for Brandon Davidson this year. Desharnais, whose hard work and skill set were never fully appreciated here, has two goals and three assists in 11 games. He has taken 11 shots, which gives him a shooting percentage of 18.2 per cent and he has been a beast in the faceoff circle, winning 62.75 per cent of his draws.
Marc Bergevin's incompetence and subsequent destruction of the team we love has destroyed this great website. I'll never forgive him for that transgression.
Agree with the M. The past 18 months imo has made it tough to remain excited and/or interested in following the team as close as we used to. Some of those unwanted (by many fans ) changes have definitely caused divisions within the fan base and it is apparent by the decline of interest and chatter on this very page. Its a sad state which will hopefully one day be reversed. Glad to see the W last night but another 4ga...won't win many of those.
IMO, the beginning of the end was when they traded PFK. Yes, he was a risk taker. Yes, he was building his brand. And yes, he may have over-stepped when he did his big hospital donation. But the guy brought excitement and entertainment to a team that had lacked it for some time. That move made no sense to me and it really cut out a big part of my fanboy self. The rivalry with Boston was at it's finest with PK and enhanced by the (Y)-Lucy thing. That's all gone. I just can't get enthused with what I see on the ice. No more N8, no Radulov, gCHuk hamsrtung, anyone who brought any level of excitement has been removed or walked away. I don't get it. Is Drouin worth watching? I'm not sure but CHevy seems to be lighting it up in Tampa.
11 comments on a Game night on this page is terrible. Where is the enthusiasm we all once had? Probably in the dumpster Bergevin has been crawling around in the last 6 years. It is indeed sad.
Bang on, the Maritimer! IMO Galchenyuk is re-living the same situation with Drouin as he did with DDD. He will never be afforded every opportunity to succeed as they have and was the next scapegoat once PFK was kicked to the curb for wearing his Hab heart on his sleeve. The media is pushing that we have to be patient with Drouin, that he's learning on the job. Why wasn't that the case for #27? If I were gCHyuk, I'd have issues too seeing how Drouin was welcomed with open arms, revered and awarded a nice 6YR contract, literally signed in front of the media https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=86iWQ7JFw5o&vl=en before even stepping on the ice as a Hab and having your GM saying that as long as he's in charge Francophones will always have priority. Must make the rest of the team feel like 2nd class citizens.
As for PFK building his brand, I didn't mind that at all. Drouin is lauded for his donation with the French hospital even though it's on a smaller scale yet PFK was always lambasted by the media. Didn't Dryden say something along the lines, for him, hockey was not his ultimate goal but a means to achieve his goal in life after hockey.
I miss PFK as a Hab, the triple-low-fives, the spinoramas etc...
If all gCHuck can do it what we see today, I still say keep him forever. We will be the first team in the league with a Urologist fourth liner who leads the team in scoring. Follow us motherfuckers.
"It's going to be great," he said. "I can't wait for the crowd, the noise, the energy in the building. "I can't wait to take that all away from them." ...and he did just that.
That's what this team is missing. Everyone says they lack confidence, well PFK had enough to go around and then some.
The leftovers of Gainy gravy made us second round at least contenders, now we are looking at lottery picks, and who knows why.
I agreed with the PFK trade. He was not worth 9 mill and he was a polarizing figure in a place with enough poles and other eastern euros already. BBQ gets us closer to the Cup than PFK.
Some sweet moves, getting LB for nothing, trading a bag of pucks for Danno. Even landing Druid for CHevy its all good. So why do we suck?
Although the comments have diminished, most likely due to the horrible/slow start and DGMB's doing/undoing, I think we'll be FHFine. Life is happening all around us but this place remains and will remain a hub of FHFriendship for everyone.
Apart from slagging PK when he, himself was caught DUI, he let loose (on his radio show) on gCHuk for going into rehab. The guy is a piece of filth. Disgusted with RDS keeping him on their panel.
Will go CHeck out the Stanley Cup 'monument' this week as it is near where I work. Got to love our PM proudly wearing the CH jersey, with the #4, the 'C' and the name Beliveau emblazoned for all of Canadian hockey fans to see.
This season is already paranormal. Will we win tonite or make King Henry look 25 again? Rangers are in a rebuild we are in purgatory.
ReplyDeleteSo far the big JFK dump has not triggered anything in the MSN. In my media its case closed for two shooters.
penis logic

Sound like you're in for a blast. If you over-indulge, be careful not to go over. Congrats to your cousin and give him my thanks.
DeleteI think the Rags are using their backup tonight.
ReplyDeletegrassy knoll me cause I cant come up with a legitimate second shooter. However you read the facts we will need at least one to win tonite.

ReplyDeleteDGMB may soon find himself reunited with his bff in ye olde foxhole.

Yep, the FHF ice cream budget is in no fear of being overextended.

ReplyDeletemario tremblay is a fucking piece of shit.
What did he do/say?

ReplyDeleteYep, that was nice to see, flying the Habs colours in the face of Amber, mcLame and the rest of the SFU. Fuck them all.
DeleteAndrew Scheer looked sharp in his US Oylmpic Jersey
