Lehkonen – Plekanec – Gallagher
Galchenyuk– Drouin – Deslauriers

(Carr)
Alzner- Petry
Benn – Jerabek
Mete - Schlemko
(Morrow)
If the Wolverine has been playing C all season for the Ducks, surely he can play C here??? Or was LB that good in his debut there the other day?
What I make of this is a singular lack of talent and losses piling up, which isn't a bad thing at this stage of the season.
DeleteAnd can I just say: please take a pass on JT and just do a proper build through drafting and some qualified coaches? Thank you.
And TSN reports: "The New York Rangers announce that defenceman Kevin Shattenkirk has a meniscus tear that will require surgery. He will be out indefinitely."
ReplyDeleteDoes that mean they may be shopping for a new BBQ?
If you mean as in Weber, BBQ has a bigger cap hit and 4yrs older than Shattenkirk and no one knows when BBQ will be ready to play. Last I heard he's wearing a walking boot.
DeleteDish, J&B, AlZZZner, Tomorrow also available...
DeleteNow it's RN-H out 5 to 6 weeks with cracked ribs. Someone want to break it to Brian Wilde?
everthing for sale no offers refused. A second for PatCHes deal.
DeleteSo if tfs has a NmC but BBB comes up and says "listen Carey, I wasn't shopping you but you know trades are hard and dis guy he called I I listened and after I said buy a dog he offered me three experienced D men and a guy who played C in Jr so it's a deal u can't refuse so how 'bout it can you waive your clause and help a brother out?"

DeleteGood stuff moe.
DeleteNow I am hearing that Anti is in the nets tonight...just fucking score...
ReplyDeleteGreat SF Moeman and some great pics of Dolores. I just learned she wrote Linger at 18 after being dumped.
ReplyDeleteI still want him to go to the turds for karlson and the princess. its an offer Melynik can not refuse.
ReplyDeleteNice work moeman. Happy SF y'all.
ReplyDeleteHey, I made it into a game thread vs. Caps too. Couple of pics.
ReplyDeletePretty slick! I loves the out of whack sign.
DeleteToo à propos but it is where the team is at.
Deletewe are full up on crazy, lets have a crazy sale
ReplyDeleteNever noticed how hot Dolores was...such a shame...
ReplyDeleteGorgeous from the first time I saw and heard her.
Deletehot crazy women that is album full of crazy beauty
Deletelets lose for Dali. The future is always out there and thats the lifeboat we need to swim too.
ReplyDeleteR.I.P. Red Fisher
ReplyDeletehttp://montrealgazette.com/news/local-news/shatner-villeneuve-gazettes-red-fisher-among-quebecers-named-to-order-of-canada
DeleteWow, sad news about Red Fisher. One of the truly great. R.I.P. Mr. Fisher and say hello to Le Gros Bill, The Rocket and all the great Habs.
DeleteSad day. I just quoted him the other day too: "Show me the players." No journalist covered the Habs with as much thoroughness and integrity as that man. An inspiration to all of us in the Concordia Journalism Dept. especially.
DeleteFarber said his wife didn't like Jersey and he told her he'd try to get a job in Montreal. So he wrote a letter to the Montreal Gazette and the Montreal Star and Red Fisher who was the editor of the Star replies 'we're on strike you idiot' He says Fisher doesn't remember that but he says when you get blown off by Red Fisher you certainly remember that.
ReplyDeleteHab of the Day CHanged.
DeleteNice!
DeleteNOAR moe!
ReplyDeleteAnd RIP Mr Fisher. The GOAT of Habs writers by a mile.
So there is apparently a game tonight too? I haven't felt this disconnected from the team in 2 decades. Give it a go.,.but don't try too hard.
SFU couldn't hold a candle to this great legend of integrity but I like some of their tweeted memories. ie: I remember asking Red Fisher at the closing of the Montreal Forum what made it such a special place. “Nothing,” he said. “It’s just a building. What made it remarkable were the people in it.”
ReplyDeleteSo I turn my tv on and it happens to be on the SN channel and Tim an Sid are talking to the old crotch. They had just asked him what he thought about Clod's comment after the broon game when he was asked if he thought the team gave up on him. Crotch turns it into a story about hoe he was coach of the year 40 years ago but came back and beat Boston as coach of the Rickies and that felt great.
ReplyDeleteSo moving on, Tim asks him "Who are you most concerned about moving forward, thr Oilers, Sens or Habs?"
His answer "I'm concerned about the leafs to tell you the truth because I'm a leaf fan. Bla blah blah...the only team I'm really concerned about is ah Tronna to tell you the truth. I don't think those other guys will make the playoffs..."
The only thing I can say about Don is at least he admits he's a leaf fan while all the other mediots try to make us believe (somewhat) that they are impartial.
Habs twitter finally chimed in 1m ago.
ReplyDeletehttp://montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/nhl/hockey-inside-out/montreal-loses-a-hockey-legend-as-red-fisher-dies-at-age-91
ReplyDeleteOof, my younger sister just FaceTimed us with news she has skin cancer. Treatable with surgery. FUCK CANCER!
ReplyDeleteVery sorry to hear. I'm sure she'll be ok, I'll say a prayer.
DeleteAnd FUCK CANCER!
Fuck cancer indeed. We've all had too many friends and relatives affected by this horrible disease. I'll keep your sister in my thoughts brother.
DeleteFuck cancer indeed. Fight fight fight!
DeleteMan, 91 is a life well-lived. Always loved reading Red. He saw the best and the worst the CH offered. Despite his objective take he seemed attached to the team. There are few to no good sports writers left.
ReplyDelete... with this I am signing off until tomorrow. Take care of your loved ones my FHFriends.
DeleteTake care, moe.
DeleteR.I.P. Red Fisher. I always enjoyed reading his stuff and I looked forward to his appearances on hnic's Hot Stove during the 2nd intermission many, many years ago. Red was close to all the Habs legends because back in the day the press traveled with the team, especially in the original 6 days when they traveled by train. Like Scott said, one of my favourite quotes of his was "Show me the players!" Man, if he was able to watch them lately, he must have been mortified by what he would have seen.
ReplyDeleteI'm watching the Sea Dogs get beat up first, then maybe I'll have myself a laugh watching the Keystones Kops play the Caps.
Oh wow...i was watching the NBC caps feed and heard nothing about Red Fisher - RIP a true legend. There will never be another. And fuck cancer! Tell you sis to go get it and kick it's ass Moeman. And while we are at it...someone tell the refs that a tap on the hands is not a penalty. Credit to the Habs for killing it but that was beyond a doubt the weakest call I have seen since the last game the Habs played and they sent LB off for getting tripped. Other than that a pretty piss poor period of hockey. Are Patches and Drouin even dressed?
ReplyDeleteK3X I caught a quick glimpse at the last moment because I was coming back from the kitchen at the time but they did give a moment of silence and featured him on the jumbotron. I expect the Canadiens to have a tribute next game.

Wow tuned in midway throu 3rd and gCHuk with 2 posts on same shift, Leko with another shortly after and in between another at the other end. And Lb with the go ahead as I type this!
ReplyDeleteAnd a win for Antigua win is a win is a win is a win...
ReplyDeleteAutocorrect...And a win for Anti...
Deletelol I thought you were referring to a soccer game and a team from Antigua won.
DeleteAutocorrect doesn't mess me up...I do that all by myself.
DeleteTAO aka the problem child couldn't keep his mouth shut when the ref told him to and he just kept yapping at him even after he was warned. Left his team short handed and the Caps tie the game. Well, you're on their list now.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of weak calls, that too many men was called right after that.
Watched on RDS and during the intermission GAGnon spoke about Red Fisher and said for the younger Francophone viewers who probably don't know him, he is like their Bertrand Raymond. OH FUCK OFF!
ReplyDeleteSaid that the press galleries have one side for the writers and one side for the others and each side is named. The writers' gallery is named after Danny Gallivan and he said he would like to see it re-named to the Red Fisher/Bertand Raymond gallery. OH FUCK OFF.
life support remains on, do not resuscitate until 2023
ReplyDeletethat was a serious display of ping management
Battle of the posts.
DeleteHappy for Niemi too. Undefeated vs Caps.
ReplyDeleteThe Captain looks pretty down these days even when he scores, judging from the photos I've seen lately. I think he knows he'll be on a contender in the near future.
ReplyDeleteShame when you think about it, who else is going to score that many goals? Not looking at this year of course but he has been one of the top scorers in the league.
