Would TSN be doing the 'NHL Under Oath' series if they had the NHL rights?

Wrestling: Jake the Snake was my fave WWF guy, but back in the day from Atlantic GRRRANNNND PRix wrestling, live from Montague, PEI! I liked the bad guys. Killer Karl Krupp was a truck driver from Moncton. I still remember him with his monacle in, speaking to the host Bill McCullough in a terrible German accent "Well, Mr McCluckcluck..."

The André the Giant documentary is really great. I was also a big fan of his. And The Princess Bride is one of my top 3 films of all time I'd say.

  8. Lego and DSP two role players on what seems now a cup winning team. DSP was a recovery effort to be fair, LEGO was always a piece of a winning cup construction.

I get a kick out of all the hype regarding the high draft pick the Habs hold, an 18 year old sniper isn't going to change the situation the team is in, created by severe asset mismanagement. The foxhole is deep and there aren't any super-heroes coming to the rescue. The habs will be a bottom feeder next season as well. Trevor Timmins says there are no quick fixes which hopefully means they will be drafting 10 new players this June and more high quality picks in 2019. Finally, the voice of reason. Make it so.

    1. I'm not one for tanking, but draft Z this year. Stick him in the lineup with the rest of your young players. Let them learn through suffering. Any luck you get the #1 pick next year, then with Z in the mix and Jack Hughes as your #1C (along with what should by then be new management), you have about a 3 year window to get your team to something respectable before BBQ and TFS start their decline (let's just assume that hasn't already started).

    2. Good summation guy's... here's the thing - bbb has to win the fucking lot next year - or come bloody close - or else he gets the sack - for him tanking for another draft choice isn't an option. He has a huge mess on his hands and I am expecting a bunch of trade action very soon

    3. the Maritimer2:18 PM

K3X, I hope you are wrong about trading. I don't think Max is going anywhere and other than dumping pylons like the wrong Benn and Schleprock there will be very little player movement. As far as tanking, they won't deliberately it will just happen. They can't score and they can't defend. A somewhat normal Price and a healthy Weber will help but those two can't do everything. If Zadina is the pick and he is good enough to make the roster that's fine but he will not save them. I'd rather see him back in Halifax gunning for the Memorial Cup next spring as the Mooseheads will be hosting. I can take another year of pain.

    4. I agree on the trading but I don't trust bbb to do thd right thing. Max should stay...but he will sadly be traded I fear

My prediction for tonight - Lego with GWG.

WatCHing the warmup, I was thinking how Fleury shot a puck into the Caps net last game and thought to myself I don't think he'll try that again. Now I just saw him skating along the red line and he uses his stick and hits Ovie in the skate. You shouldn't push your luck.

PFK on with buttman, helping promote the success of Vegas. PFK would have done just as well without the Harvard course, he's a natural.

I saw the Fleury thing on TVA but switched to NBC which show that Ovie briefly skated in and out of the Vegas ice, that's when Fleury tapped him.

DSP with the tying goal and Lego with the winner. Congrats to them, Ovi and the Caps. That is a good looking team.

I look forward to seeing which player MB casts off this year that will play for the cp next year.

Lego and DSP are great supporting players but they never had anyone to support in Montreal. Maybe some day the Habs will have players like Ovie and Kuznetsov and Backstrom to get them to the playoffs and players like Lego and DSP to get them THROUGH the playoffs. Congrats to the former Habs (although they were never drafted by them) for winning the Cup.

I think the last time I watched a team win live was back in 2007, Ottawa and Anaheim. I've gotten tired of watching American teams win all the time. Fuck you Gary.

Bigotry and racism and petty politics still rearing their ugly heads in 2018, not that I believe that stuff will ever go away. Neither the Cavs nor Warriors will be invited to be feted at the White House. It will be interesting to see what the Capitals will do. I would take a guess and say they WILL attend.

Ontarians are surely in for some interesting times with another grassroots politician at the helm. Have fun Steve!!

  33. Despite it being 25 years since a Canadian team has won the cup and the fact no Canadian team has ever won the NBA title, fact is both are North American leagues. Justin should invite both the Caps and Warriors to the Hill. Tariff free.

Out of town last and this weekend.

Barely watched any of the Finals.

Congrats to WAS, OV, Lego and DSP. Well deserved.

The Francophone SFU ripped into Lego every chance they got, same with gCHuck.

Nice to see juce in here.

    Spectacular weather here in Kingston.
