I don't understand, I just came here to talk earlier and the internet was fine. Now it wants me to fill in 2345 hoops. Suffice it to say, O-man is back. Just got called out to the casino on the Nile. Broke even, thankyouverymuch. Perhaps too many free whiskeys. Waiting for pizza. Habs winning. Good times. GYFHG!

  15. So just as we appreciated preseason, the very astute moves by our formidable GM, this will be a very cpwtetive team each and every night, definitely make the playoffs and challenge for the cup.

The lowly Habs beat the powerhouse Penguins.

The sad sack Senaturds beat the world's best team the laffs.

Ha ha ha. Suck it Toronto media. These two teams just ruined hnic and snet's weekend. Fuck'em.

I dunno I think Koko is heading back to the land of Finns.
MiniMax is impressing me, Radar as well.
Luke Richardson may have been the best pick up of the summer the way the D is playing, Wrong Benn is right.

Big victory as much as I like to win I want one more top draft pick.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. also Pecca name might be Pecker, not impressed so far.

    2. the Maritimer9:39 AM

There is going to be some growing pains with Koho ... if he goes back to Finland for a spell, no problem. MiniMax is good, non-stop motor, not afraid to go to the corners. Radar was off the radar ... good skater, gets the puck up the ice in a hurry. Paul Byron is the guy who is impressing me, great speed and great hands, bargainbin special. Drouin on the other hand ... he has an ego problem and I think he likes what he sees in the mirror. A turnover machine and lackadaisical on the back check. 3rd liner in my opinion.

Luke Richardson may be the key, the defence looks like it knows what to do. He still may be the token anglophone for the francophone SFU to blame when things go wrong. I'm sure eMTy will find something to complain about.

It's too early to get on any bandwagon, but as long as the Habs can make the SFU squirm in their collective seats I will enjoy every minute of it.

      Suck it Toronto media.

      Delete
    3. Nothing will shut up the SFU but always FHFun to see them CHoke on their own puke funnel.

  24. Nicely played...a win is a win. Cold needs to stop now. And on this Thanksgiving Sunday please can I ask all leaf lovers to suck it!

  25. Is it just me or is Koko failing the eye test. He does not look like he belongs in the NHL to me. After two very successful games the only guys who look like plahs to me are, minimax, LB, Druid and Radar.
    .
We are playing a better version of Emtpty hockey.NTTIAWWT. There is no cycle, we are barely making plays, the D is much better at putting on some pressure this year, it could add up to a playoff spot. IMHO that would be a waste. We need at least one more year of solid drafting, a stud D man and a sniper to put us on a true cup trajectory.

The way TFS and the D are playing its sabatoge of the future. Speaking of the future Man in the High Castle season 3 is even better than the first two and so is Alexa Davalos.

    1. the Maritimer9:43 AM

Hey Steve, is the Man in the High Castle still set on an alternate earth? I remember at the end of season 1, the Japanese governor in San Fran made the crossover to the real earth. Did they follow up on that?

      Delete
    2. Yes, I dont want to give any spoilers but there is lots of crossover. It was not the governor its the trade minister. Season 2 was better and season 3 although the critics say its got to many moving elements is even better. It is a little hard to follow so binge watch only. Spolier alert White Tulip.

I am not saying Druid is playing well. But you can see he is the best hockey player we have. Needs to get his head out of his ass. Great you can control the puck with 4 players trying to check you, but you need to make a play to capitalize on that. Thats what Radulove did.

    3. the Maritimer11:36 AM

Thanks Steve, I might give it a shot after I finish Ozark.

    4. I still cant get Jack Ryan, so Ozark is going to be my next binge, I have not seen season one yet. I would say its the most highly rated newish thing out there.

Instead of the full blown turkey (too much for 3 of us), I bought a stuffed turkey breast. Will still have all the fixins', mashed potatoes, carrots, squash with homemade cranberries, stuffing and apple pie (made by moi).

    2. Nice.

Made a turkey on Friday. My son's fave meal. Mine too.

Made some cranberry sauce. Fresh berries, sugar (not too much) OJ and one glove.

      Who doesn't love pie!?

Woke up to a dead fridge on turkey day this morning. 7 fucking years each my last 2 have lasted ffs! We had 1 fridge growing up. I think my folks upgraded when i was 25 or so.

But we managed amongst the chaos to pull off an amazing turkeu meal with all the fixins.

Picked up a compact fridge from costco til we can get a replacement. I'll prob return it...Costco is great that way. Just bought a heat pump from them yesterday. It's like Christmas in October.

    ReplyDelete
  29. all fucking crap from Korea and Mexico, if we did not have fucking free trade we could be building our own fridges like we used to and they lasted a lifetime or two. May have required a small power plant to keep things cool, but they lasted.

Likely its electronics fried by a surge or brownout. They say putting the whole house on a circuit breaker is the way to go.

  30. Caught the end of the M's Giants' game. Tough losing on a 63 yard fg, but hell of a kick.

Since I'm home I thought I'd torture myself and turn on Hockey Central at Noon. It's 22 past the hour and still talking leaf. Hockey Central of the Universe.

I know, a 63 yd field goal. Who the fuck kicks those? Not fucking fair I say.

All appliances are now designed to fail in 5-10 years. If they last 25 years like they used to, those companies would go bankrupt.

Can't stand leaf central at noon. snet leaf fanboy hacks.

  31. So Drew Brees just passed Peyton Manning as all time passing yards leader in the NFL. Just another 8000 or so more and you can take Calvillo's pro football record! But I always liked Brees, Saints have always been my 'NFC' team.
Sucks that my opponent this week has him and that play put him ahead of me, but I had no chance.

I hope they have put that torch away. A team that finished 28th last season should be walking around with some humility. As far as celebrating a Stanley cup team from 25 years ago, go ahead, I'll take a hard pass though... Too leafish in my books.

I like the new speed game but it will be hard to play at that pace for 82 games. Let's stay calm.

      Delete
    2. Agree with you on all aspects of your post the M. No to the torch. No to 'celebrating' 25 years of futility. Still remember the leaf 40th anniversary celebrations. No thanks.

      Delete
    3. I agree - why celebrate 25 years of futility? That is seriously leaf like in degrees of how bad an idea it is. Introduce the players, bring out a couple of old guys for a faceoff, and get the fucking game underway.

    4. Well this is the first big test of the new direction of the club with last summer's hiring of Paul Wilson. He is in charge of the whole shebang of Marketing as VP

Roy and LeClair some others are too busy with their current lives to constantly dwell on the past in the lame atmosphere of the Phone Booth, which tells me all I need to know.
