The thing to remember about disgusting fascist websites like tsn and sn is they could give a fuck about slapping 90% of their pages with leaf propaganda as they know and realize that leafools aren't hockey fans.
TFS played well tonight. Dish played well. KidA was KidA...hell even Druid played well ...this is exciting to watch! My clocks go back an hour this weekend which means the games are an hour later for me for one week...that kinda sucks...
Interesting Moey. I was just thinking myself this morning that perhaps I personally have been too harsh to judge MB. Now to that end, I didn't disagree with the 2 trades this off-season and though a very small sample, they are both looking like wins. So yeah, whether it was attitude or lack of leadership/leadership style, something seems different with this team compared to last year. But I'd also look at (and applaud) the changes behind the bench which I also think have a lot to do with the current style of play we are seeing.
Agree Pad, especially the defense. On paper we’ve had more D talent in the past but you would have to think the coaching just wasn’t as good as it should have been.
I agree that the best thing bbb is was get new coaches in place all and NHL. They have made a huge difference. Timmins drafted well and the return on Patches so far has looked good. early days but so far...so good.
All around I agree with all of the above with the caveat that I recall we all said WTF about DGMB saying the problem/solution is in the room - all the while referring to a room he constructed himself!! So yeah, he learned from his mistakes (it would appear) yet his ego is too big to admit that publicly. Looking at the team and the prospects and the coaching in place now, I am learning to live with that. GYFHG and SUCK IT COTU
Yeah, when Bob Dylan met Jonny Cash for the first time, he walked around him like a person circling a giant and when they came face to face again he said "Yeah"
DGMB may have made some mistakes. Life as we know it may not continue. However he made some huge moves may we all be rewarded by his vision.
The good news kids...Alzzzzzzzzzner is in the press box tonight. WE HAVE A REAL CHANCE KIDS! Just fucking win! GYFHG!

I don't mean to be provocative but do you think the GM might have been right about the attitude problem last year?

DeleteAgree.
ReplyDeleteSome of dgmb's trades were hard to swallow and have yet to balance out (injury, time, etc.)
I think dgmb took too long to admit some mistakes and be clearer with the fan base.
That has changed. I think he now appreciates the CH culture much more.
I think Timmins remains the cog for current and future development.
TFS, BBQ, SSR and KidA are the vet core with LB, Dano and Dish (if he stays) the next level.
The younger Habs have added life and a more positive attitude (I said it!).
The prospect pipeline is getting full at all positions and the new team in Laval looks promising.
Adding Ducharme and Richardson, whilst keeping CK and Mr. Waite to assist CJv2 is more fresh minds.
All in all, an enjoyable start to the season by a much more enjoyable team to watch and cheer.
Also, icing for being above the wretched leaf in the standings.
Oops, forgot to mention about the tingling sensation I got when I saw the fabulous Moey use the word provocative. Meow! ♥
