Welcome back PFK, lets have another tribute maybe show the Boston goal. I still think PFK has a supersized ego thats why he was traded, and like 911 I just follow the facts. Its kind of weird when it comes to me and sickness. For most of my life I was knocked out one week a year. After I got maried never. I have not been sick for more than two days in many years. I get the flu shot and kill as many germs as possilbe with alchol.
I am going to watch Defcon 1 (zombie movie) before the game. I watched the very hyped bird box and found it like a newspaper, worth reading and lining the bird cage. Sarah Bullock carries this movie like TFS at his best. And she looks kinda weird her face is more plastic than flesh. Personally I would rather see wrinkles. I scanned through the Quiet movie, it made no noise for me.
Hey folks just checking in. Had friends from Ontario visiting their first grandchild. Hooked up for brunch and ended up being a lot of day drinking, not something I've done in a ling time. Now i'm fucking wiped out. Watching the Colts taking it to Houston early. In my pool I have an all LA Superbowl with the Chargers over the Rams.
I'm watching on tva, can't listen to the old fossil. I don't mind, it reminds me of the good old days listening to Rene Lecavalier on La Soiree du Hockey. :-)
Started watching in delay until the first goal. Best part was about 3 minutes when the play by play cut out but the arena noise was still audible. Love watching hockey that way. Reminds me when SRC? Was on strike about 15 years ago and whole games were broadcast that way.
BTW, regarding my comment above David Ling had a cup of coffee with the Habs in the mid 90s. Not even sure why I remembered his name...might be from NHL96.
David Ling played for both the Fredericton Canadiens and the Saint John Flames at different times back in the 90's. I remember him well, small bur feisty.
Great interview with PFK ... and a 'merci beaucoup' to finish.
You will always be a Hab PK, lots of good memories, especially sticking the dagger into the bad news br00ns in the playoffs back in 2014. Right in Boston no less. Felt like '71 for a while.
The above was supposed to be a reply. I watched the third, we did hit two crossbars, but really did not threaten until goalie was pulled. From what I saw dispite PFK two assists it was pretty close between him and BBQ for best D man. BBQ crushed Bambino at the blue line.
A perfect tank loss, close enough to not lose attitude but far enough away to not get points.
I ditto St Pads kudo to our utes from the WJC. I saw a list of best players over the last 15 years and at least 80% went on to be superstars, including Ovie and Traves.
Under the weather with the cold going around these parts.
ReplyDeleteTwo new friends; Ibu and Profen.
Welcome back PFK.

Copied brother moe and made gumbo for tonight's meal. Mild Italian sausage and shrimp in mine, served on white basmati rice. Yummy!
ReplyDeleteNice. Any poultry in there?
DeleteJust the chicken broth.

DeleteCool. Just checked. He played a total of 3 games for the Habs and is apparently from Halifax.
DeleteJames Duthie is becoming way too smug.
ReplyDeleteI hope PFK had the game puck sent up to bargainbin bergy, just as a token of appreciation.
ReplyDeleteSigning off whilst flipping betwixt WJC and NFL.

I think my fondest memory as PK the Hab will always be that crushing check on Ratface.
DeleteCongrats to Romanov and Poehling on players of the tourney for Defense and Forward respectively.
ReplyDeleteAnd good on the Finns.
Boston Goal plus CHrushing Ratface the bookends of his Montreal Years.
