  1. I say get Simmonds from Philly

  2. I say do nuthin with rentals.(okay Simmons or Stone for a second) If we can get a rental we want where an 8 year deal makes sense I am okay. But with the little harpoon target from the Rags going for two seconds or two conditional firsts the price tag is still high.

I would love to see us make one of those cap space deals like the one that brought Army. Rangor Lothbrook and Hubie are in the wind, let them blow our way.

I just installed another fantastic peice of tech kit. Its an avantree USB bluetooth dongle. Now I can wireless headphone my desktop. Sure to take years off my acoustic acuity, but my wife is happy. I have a choice between a 55 inch tv and a 27 inch monitor. I prefer the monitor. Much easier to comment:)

I guess I'm finally over it, took most of the day. Never read one word from either side, don't give a shit.

I'm now relaxing watching the Tournament of Hearts finale, lots less stressful. The hockey world can kiss my ass for a few days.

I've got no dog in this hunt ... but I'm enjoying this curling match between Ontario and Alberta. Rachel Homan is not hard to look at either. Bonus, I broke out the 18 year old scotch ... man, talk about smooth.

  5. It been top of my must see list for over a year. I finally found it Dead Trigger staring Dolph Lungren.

  6. the Maritimer7:56 PM

Wow, tied 6-6 after 10 ends. Did I mention this 18 year old scotch is fucking smooth?

    ReplyDelete
  7. the Maritimer8:16 PM

Hard to believe, Homan blows two straightforward draws to lose the championship. I feel bad for her but I felt Chelsea Carey was the underdog and am happy for her. Here Rachel, have a drink of this scotch ... you'll feel better. I feel pretty good... heh heh heh.

    1. The old Homan would have thrown a hit on that last rock. The kinder, gentler and pregnanter Homan not so much. For the best - she would be 6 months along and her lead 5 months along by the time the Worlds happen in Denmark.

Me I'm more of an Emma Miskew fan.

Good luck to the Carey foursome at the Worlds.

  9. Be interesting to see if MB unloads Hudon for a middle round pick. Other than that, I can't see any moves that make sense. Unless it's Andy Greene from NJ to solidify the left side of the D. His name hasn't been out there at all so I don't know if it's an option.

    Where will m-f end up?
    Winnipeg?
    Columbus?
    Nashville?
    Boston?
    Calgary?
    Ottawa?
    Other?

I predict micro fracture man ends up in the 'Peg. He wants to win and they are a true contender. And he's a homie.

I've got tsn on, I can tolerate them unlike the fucking scumbag leafool cheerleaders over at the vile snet. I hate them.

  10. Always an over-hyped day, most of the deals happen beforehand. TSN needs to fill dead air all day, don’t envy than. Hey, they could always get McGuire to give a full on history of every AHL’er past and present.....oh wait he already does that on a daily basis.

Okay then, off to yoga and me thinks some retail therapy after that.

    1. I remember the year that SNOT stooped so low they put Eklund on tv, even shadowing him out in the background. Bunch of SFools.

  11. CHip gets the call to come back up...Methinks Hudon is going to be packaged along with a draft pick - maybe a 4th and Anti - to Philly for a Simmonds and a 2nd. So I totally made that shit up - not CHip getting a the call but the rest of it - this is how the guys on TSN do it - someone should be paying me!

  12. The funniest part of this day is the clueless tranna-based SFU making comments about the Habs, a team they collectively hate.

    ReplyDelete

    1. the Maritimer10:49 AM

Unlike the vile leaf cesspool snet dirtbags, I think tsn (although part of the SFU) actually respect the Habs a tiny bit. Pierre Lebrun does anyway. The new tandem doing Habs regional games of Dan Robertson and Dave Poulin are actually quite good, despite Poulin being a former broon and phucktard. I find he and Mike Johnson are good analysts unlike the hateful Gary Galley and his ilk. I'm still a bit bitter about Saturday.

  13. Looking like Hayes from the Rags going to the Peg instead of m-f. Or as well as?

And I see Z played 1/2 a game with the Stars before blocking a shot - and out 4 weeks. Ouch.

  14. I just noticed we have a game tonight. Bad enough it's a Monday game, but it's against NJ. Might check in mid-way to see how it's going, but yawn...maybe not.

    1. ... and its even more pathetic, because they suggested they'd talk the Habs 5 years out with 2 tranna scribes and Farber, who said almost nothing. They barely talked about them, except that TFS would be old(er). Nothing else and they spent the segment talking VAN and EDM.

    4. Right in bob's wealhouse...a 4th line depth move...because we are a team seriously lacking 4th line depth...ffs! Good on the dot apparently.. .

      Delete
    5. You mean Marc? Too bad the talking heads from the SFU weren't clever enough to come up with this.

I go home for lunch and tuned in briefly to TSN to find them on a fake putting green. James Dufus says to Jeff Oniell as he is putting to "analyze the Jordan Weal trade."
Oneill says "I don't care about that trade." (then sunk his putt). Fair statement, hard for anybody to care, but especially a self identified leaf fan like "O-dog".

So I switched to the other guys just as Marek was throwing it to the Bell Centre to discuss the Habs with "Nikki Reyes and (insert long pause and squint) Eric Engels?" Nikki isn't hard to look at so that was OK. I thought she was at NESN in Bwaston. Anyway I think Engles said maybe one more minor tweak for MB. Maybe at defence. I can't recall.

Back in the studio, the putrid bunch are stating that "Montreal was in hard on Duchene" and "were interested in Hayes". I think they're all full of shit. Sorry, I KNOW they're all full of shit.

    3. HSC has been in heavy rotation lately on the local 80's/90's station. They seem to pick a song or artist and run with it for a few months to make the CanCon target easy to hit. For about 6 months it was all Alannis Morisette all the time.

  19. So House as a nic for Weal?

    ReplyDelete
  20. So House was a 100 pt+ player for 3 seasons in junior and a point a game guy in the AHL.
This often does not translate to the big league which seems to be the case. Or maybe he just needs the right scenario to get his mojo on track.

Maybe someday Montreal will be in a position to "power up" at the deadline like Nashville or Winnipeg. I doubt the dumpster diver will be in charge by then, he'd be lost anyway trying to pull it off.

Poor Ottawa fans, what a mess over there. Last place and no chance at Hughes or Kakko. Yikes.

I can't wait to see the br00nz beat the wretched, putrid leaf in the playoffs again. Maybe we will get to see johnny T. sitting on his dad's knee again, this time crying. The vile snet fucks were yipping last Saturday that they would love to see a Habs/leaf playoff meeting 'cause "the rivalry" no it's because they know their wittle weef can't beat the bruins. Arrogant fucks.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Well, they love their team's arrogance.

Admittedly Domini made them flinch but violin playing, winks, kisses and I can't hear you's from game lucky puds, including their 'classy' pajama boy? Please and fuck off.

  33. tsn goes to another panel and guess what, more leaf.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Did you guys ever think we would be rooting for Boston in the playoffs? That my friends is just how repulsive the leaf brand and their mediots have become. Never thought I would see that day but here we are. Jesus.

    1. Yep. Cheered them on the last two years. Once that first round is over, they can die.

    2. Me too although it was very disconcerting. Damn the leaf, they can burn in hell.

      Delete
    3. It ain't easy but anything to keep the leaf, their fans and their biased media from another playoff round and God forbid a Finals/etc. is good. A 52 year run has been joyful and here's to another 52, or more, yeah, more.

Like my good bro theM., I'm still not 100% over Saturday's game. Sure, the Habs shit the bed after going up 3-0 (and 2 empty net goals) but that game left a really bad taste. The leaf, leafools and the SFU have always been arrogant and ignorant fucks. They will do anything to crank that up. They've cranked me up.

  36. Unless like last Saturday, no snet for me, ever. Not on tv, not online, nothing (and that includdes cbc properties, which we fucking pay for).

So, tsn, with like 2 dozen 'panelists' today, what a fucking overweight shit show. Literally. The biggest fat fuck ends up being, wait for it, jeff o'neill. A true fucking pud. An obese leaf lover first and foremost. He just had to take some shots at the Habs. Why? Because he's SFU. Zero fucking integrity. Zero fucking skill or intelligence as a sports broadcaster. A true waste of skin. Also, there's a reason that loudmouths like button and mcsplooge don't have real NHL jobs.

    ReplyDelete
  37. tsn dave poulin is worried about his leaf (he worked for them).

So, apparently the boys lost to an AHL team last night? OK then, I've said all along I'm ambivalent to making the playoffs. I'm sure it would be fun for a week or so (or maybe nerve wracking). If, they fall out of the race, let's hope the lottery gods favour mb and TT once again and the Habs get a shot at drafting Kappo Kakko. Who wouldn't love to have a player with a name like that? NTTIAWTH, I'm just trying to come up with a fun nickname ... KooKoo? KoKo? Yeah, KoKo and KoHo on the same line.
