SFU prognosticators will be going on and on and on about trades which they actually have no prior knowledge of for the next 5 days. Tune out.

I see this as a big test of what needs to happen before the trade deadline as well as what could happen through the end of the season...JFW!
ReplyDeleteNo Gudas, good.
ReplyDeleteSFU now yipping that Saturday's game will determine if the Habs make any moves. STFU!
ReplyDeletei kinda agree. if i were in charge ide do nothing, but it's not me, it's bbb!
DeleteJFW.
ReplyDeletePractice line-ups;
ReplyDeleteDrouin – Danault – Gallagher
Tatar – Domi – Shaw
Byron – Kotkaniemi – Armia
Lehkonen – Thompson – Deslauriers

Tough for Thompson, demoted from first to fourth after being given BBQ's Cloak of Awesomeness for his work against the BJ's
Deletebut I don't believe he has a nick yet? So I was looking into this...
My first thought was Thompson Twins, but they were most notable for their ability to squeeze only the most horrendous sounds out of the synths of the day, and their most popular song, Hold Me Now, was pretty much a whinefest, so nuh-un. N8 cannot be reissued, but he is Alaskan and he converted to Judaism for marriage, so: TKA (The Kosher Alaskan!)
Anyone got something better?
Synth!
DeleteMy God man, that works! Synth in again to take a crucial late period face-off in the Habs end.
DeleteN8v2
DeleteI know we don't want to make this too political but I just want to point out the Clerk of the Privy Council of Canada is right now laying a smackdown of integrity on the Justice Committee that is ten times more righteous than any political speech any of us will hear in the coming election.
ReplyDeleteOpens saying he is worried for the state of our country. Coming from the chief mandarin of 37 years' experience serving governments of all stripes, I just gotta say: Dang!
Some people have a lot of integrity.
DeleteI'm not sure what you are saying but as moe likes to say, tsn, snet and hnit aka the SFU have zero integrity.
DeleteR.I.P. Peter Tork
ReplyDeleteHey hey...RIP
DeleteIs a Synth similar to a Cylon? Sounds like a sinister sci-fi character. And that's not a bad thing.
ReplyDeleteHey our #6 is just as hot as Cylon #6. You know, because he's a BBQ.
If his name was Andy and not Nate, we could nick him Moog. (SWIDT?)
Deleteclever, moogman
DeleteI don't expect MB to make any big moves, and he shouldn't.
ReplyDeleteBut what about moving SSR to Philthy in a deal for Simmonds? I like SSR, but it's more about managing risk, and I fear he's one concussion away from being finished. Could still let Simmonds go to FA, but depending on what he did in the playoffs (insert assumption here), consideration on signing him could be given. Though I sense he's going to be looking for more than he's worth at this post 30 stage of his career.
Anywho, just thinking out loud.
(We) hear a lot about how well-liked SSR is and he's been a very good Hab. I say keep him.
DeleteA co-worker's spouse is good friends with the parents of Phillipe Myers, the undrafted Moncton, NB boy starting just his 2nd game tonight. Hope he shines whilst his team still puts a checkmark in their 'L' column. He'll probably look like a Norris candidate tonight...
ReplyDeleteNice gameday thread St. Pad.
ReplyDeleteThanks bud. I hope to see Fiver or Synch play Big Bird to a Philthy Dornhoffer. I have no idea if that is spelled anywhere near correct. And I don't care.
DeleteA little bit of Sly is a nice touch, merci moe!
ReplyDeleteJFW tonight boys!
Thank St. Pad (although he was CHannelling).
DeleteKeep Shaw. He keeps the opposition honest. If he were to be concussed again (perish forbid) he wouldn't count against the cap on LTIR. Not hoping for that at all just pointing it out.
ReplyDeleteAs much as I would like the Habs to acquire Matt Duchene, I think bbb should just stand pat and wait for the new guys to develop. Out of Poehling, Suzuki, Brook and Ylonen plus Primeau they should hit one winner. Plus, Kid Koho will be the No. 1 center we've been waiting 25+ years for.
I'm not convinced about what Duchene is worth but I will say that Huberdeau is a player I'd like to see made an offer for. Nothing crazy and he has value but I've always liked his play.
DeleteHit a nice MexiCali resto today. Leftover carne asada.
ReplyDeleteI made a cheeseburger pattie, coverwd in sauted mushrooms and put on a bagel with peanut butter. So a Peanut Butter Mushroom Cheese Burgel is what I'm calling it and it was delicious. Oh I added ketchup (French's) and it worked very well.
DeleteSounds good. Does Mme. St. Pad know?
DeleteShhhh.
DeleteMy fave moe!
Deletehey kmaxx...
ReplyDelete"KK is like 10 points from removing that POS from the rookie scoring record. I want him to break that record more than I want a Stanley Cup this season! Anything that removes that shit stain from the record books is a serious win for all true fans of the Montreal Canadiens!"
what did u mean by that? im confused. r u talking about mats? what's wrong with him!?!
The reference is to the vile mario tremblay, who has the Habs rookie record(s) for points. KidKo is getting closer to having that record as his own. mario tremblay, although a Cup winner, is persona non grata, from slagging PK to being the fucking stupid impetus for the Patrick Roy trade/removal. He is pure scum, just as bad as the league of SFUers.
DeleteI was curious too oleg, but had an inkling. Sure enough it's the POS I thought he was talking about. In the 74-75 season, Mario Tremblay scored 39 points as an 18 year old for the Habs. That stands as the most by an 18 year old in the CH sweater.
DeleteBTW some guy wearing #99 scored 137 as an 18 year old 5 years later.
https://www.quanthockey.com/nhl/player-age/18-year-old-nhl-players.html
moe you were on it. Good man!
DeleteNote that Mats Naslund and Kjell Dahlin have the rookie records at 61 pts. Scumface has it as an 18 y o rookie. I think.
DeleteYep, comparing KidKo as an 18 year old. The young man can't even frequent bars, in Quebec!
DeleteMoeman knows...cannot even begin to describe the depth of my loathing for that POS...so I want KotK to take his Habs 18yr old record...then maybe no one has to ever mention him again!
DeleteI'll hold back for now but tremblay has become the most horrible ex-Habs one could imagine. I asked RDS, when tremblay went on his drunken racist rage against PK, to never put him back on air. Of course there must be connections to keep him in front of the cameras. I'd punch him in the face if I ever was near him.
DeleteI'd hold him down for you Moe. Pure evil scum!
Deletemorena baccarin hot. the queen of sci fi, why did she do a nude scence in Homeland and not Serientiy?
ReplyDeleteStalone has made some real stinkers, but I love most of his stuff, even the expendables, Judge Dredd.
Phuck the Phuctards
Nice interview with Giroux with Pierre Houde. He says he was surprised the Habs didn't pick him. Saw him play a few games here in Gatineau. He's developed into one of the best and a great Captain (despite it being the phucking phlyers).
ReplyDeleteYep he would have been marginally better than David Fisher taken 2 spots ahead.
Delete2006 was not a good draft year for the Habs.BlanCHe was the hilite.
I'm convinced they drafted him only because they drafted Price the year before. So then they had Fisher-Price.
Heh.
DeleteYoung PHI goalie Hart (there's a name) talking about his idol TFS. As the clips roll by, we see OV slapping gloves with TFS for a sick save on him. That, so far, is my season highlight, along with KidKo's sick sweep/goal.
ReplyDeleteFinally broke the seal on my Eldorado 15 Xmas gift.
ReplyDeletekidA!
ReplyDeleteKidA !
ReplyDeleteSweet pass from new Dad-Dano.
ReplyDeletePing.
ReplyDeleteWow!
ReplyDeleteKoho!
ReplyDelete10 to go...
KidKo was freaking amazing on that goal.
ReplyDeleteSweet pass from Lb.
ReplyDeleteKidKo wow fast start
ReplyDelete11 goals as a rooKie at home for the young KidKo.
ReplyDeleteFor our own young KidKate (aka Moey), Sheldon Souray did the same as a Devil.
❤️
DeleteI'm basing this on pure observation but Coach Ducharme has the Habs offense using their speed and skill to good>great effect.
ReplyDeletePing.
ReplyDeleteloving how we are owning the Phucktards
ReplyDeleteGiving KidKo #15 is so FHFucking prescient.
ReplyDeleteKidA again!
ReplyDeletekidA!
ReplyDelete3-0
ReplyDeleteWow. Seeing eye puck.
ReplyDeleteMan, there was almost no room for that to squeeze in.
DeletekidA good in small spaces.
DeleteIts not the size that counts.
DeleteHas anyone seen gots to be there?
ReplyDeleteHeh. I guess that's why they call him ghost.
DeleteWeber really reminds me of Robinson when he decides to just manhandle an opponent like a ragdoll. And like Big Bird, he only does it when needed to help his team. Nothing senseless or needless.
ReplyDeleteVery true.
DeleteWould love to see BBQ rub out (along the boards) a slug like kadri.
You wouldn't want to mess with big Shea.
DeleteHey moe, what do the rds panel think of kidKo? Just wondering if they are concerned that he overshadows other players who they might prefer to see shine? Or do they see a star in the making?
ReplyDeleteSo far, this season, from what I've seen, they love the kid as much as we do.
DeleteThe irony is if we hadn't been so woeful last year we wouldn't have KK. No pain no gain as they say.
ReplyDeleteTrue. And I admit to being skeptical of the pick as I was in the Tkachuk camp all the way. I don't mind being wrong. Though I believe Tkachuk would also be excelling, but we would still have centre problems.
DeleteWell said Moey.
DeleteListening to some tunes betwixt the periods, made a new word; SFools.
ReplyDeleteKidAttie!
ReplyDeletekidA! Throws toque
ReplyDeleteyeAh!
ReplyDeleteyeAh!
yeAh!
Hattie for our hero KidA
ReplyDeleteI hate the olé song so much.
ReplyDeleteNot when winning by a decent margin. Beats being in a tronna morgue.
DeleteLast minute or 2 and up by a couple, I can live with.
DeleteMaybe I'm just stuck in the 80s. Think I've mentioned how I miss the sha na na na he hey hey goodbye song.
Love our wee Brendan ❤️
ReplyDeleteTataaaaaar!
ReplyDeleteTAAAAAATÞAAAAAAAAAAAAR!
ReplyDeleteSaucy.
Mike Johnson mentioned earlier that Dano is in the top 50 in 5 on 5 points. That is both surprising and impressive. I wonder where kidA sits. 5 more 5 on 5 goals tonight for the team. 3 pts for kidA. 9 others with 1 point.
ReplyDeleteKidA has more 5 on 5 goals than...Patrick Kane, Nikita Kycherov, Nathan MacKinnon, Sidney Crosby AND Auston Matthews! SUCK on the SFU!
DeleteNoice! Our Lip's career is trending more and more like Ratface Brad Marchand, minus the assholery and roughly half the proboscis.
Deleteleaf slapped by da Caps!
ReplyDeleteCalm down Carey. You got the W.
ReplyDeleteVery good win. Stay in the race.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the thread St. Pad.
ReplyDeleteSo happy for KidA !
ReplyDeleteIndeed. Still like calling him Lip after this guy
DeleteThe joy of the young girl that got TFS' goalie stick. Pure as can be seen.
ReplyDeleteTsn cuts out right away. No stars. No postgame. Gotta get busy cleaning the Habs stench from their suits I suppose.
DeleteRDS here.
DeleteHey FHFolks, missed tonight's game, must have been a dandy. Onward to Saturday night and a date with the wretched, putrid, despicable leaf and their leafool sycophant media.
ReplyDeleteGreat periods 1 and 2, slacked a bit in 3 but a good win.
DeleteOn to hogtown. The city of filth.
A very strong effort out of the gate and clearly lifted in the third, but a good win nonetheless. KotK picks up another goal at home - he needs to pot on on this next road trip to break his road duck. leaf lose so excellent result all round...
ReplyDeleteThank you Alex Ovechkin and company. Always good to cause angst in leafool nation.
ReplyDeleteDuchene a Blue Jacket.
ReplyDeleteFrom a Habs future perspective probably for the best.
Deletefrom one city boasting little beyond its capital status to another, but with EEEEE-van-gelicals, earlier spring, Abercrombie & Fitch Head office, and extra hog farming in the mix. Wait til he figures out all they care about is MLB, NFL and college football.
DeleteThe Trump-loving owner of the New England Patriots football team has been arrested in Florida at a massage parlor for soliciting prostitution.
ReplyDeleteTwo peas in a pod...
Deleteoh dear. Bet Presidential pardons don't count for non-federal offenses. Oh dear dear dear. (Thinkin' SNL Church Lady)
DeleteColumbus pushed all their chips onto the table ... Panarin, Bobrovsky and Duchene could all walk away on July 1 and they have no 1st round picks for the next two years. As it stands today, they are not in a wild card position so they need to finish in the 7 hole to avoid Tampa in the 1st round. It could be a disaster for the BJ's.
ReplyDeleteAn early plea to the Habs -- please, please, please beat the fucking dirtbag leaf this Saturday.
Amen, brother. Not expecting a miracle myself tomorrow, but a good 'ol hockey game will do, surely.
DeleteI give the Leafs odds against this year's Habs most nights. LB will be the determining factor. They win more with LB in the line-up, interestingly.
Deleteshit. We're all healthy! No wonder CHip got Laval-ed.
Apropro of nothing Habs, if you wanna catch up on the Trudeau/Jody Wilson-Raybould drama, read my man Stephen Maher's most fabulous and balanced article about the matter over at macleans.ca. I agree the PM didn't appear to cross over into corrupt territory himself, but has judgment issues, if nothing else.
ReplyDeletean invention of the political equivalant of the SFU. JT is a Hab, Weak Andy is a leaf.
ReplyDeleteIn the words of Joe Thorton, If we win tonite I will take out my rooster and stroke it
