Well we've been down that road before
And Habs ain't going back no more
Just replay 67 in my mind
Since then leaf falling way behind
We know why so fuck you crotch
CHasing you this time (until tonight)
Care a lot about those days
Habs life was in that phase
But those times are almost gone
Gonna have to Carey on
We know why so fuck you mclame
CHasing you this time (until tonight)
I know it's the same bob cold story
We can't bring it back
I know it's the same bob cold story
It's hard but it's a fact
Walking down through the past
We thought it would always last
Things have CHanged somehow
It's all behind us now
We know why so fuck you SFU
CHasing you this time (until tonight)
If time would just stand still
And we could have the will
To bring back yesterday
There'd be nothing more to say
We know why so fuck you leafools
CHasing you this time (until tonight)
I know it's the same bob cold story
We can't bring it back
I know it's the same bob cold story
It's hard but it's a fact
Care a lot about those days
Our life was in that phase
But those times are almost gone
Gonna have to Carey on
We know why so fuck you bob cold

Hilarious to listen to that hack bob cold and his buddy neale on that Kovalev clip. Note the score in the top corner. How sweet if that happened again tonight. Same score and kadri on the end of a nice elbow to the head.
ReplyDeleteWeiss is a Hab again.
ReplyDeleteHe's going to Laval, so as to not be waived.
DeleteHope we see the ol' CHip suit up in MTL!

DeleteThe good ole days, such a great rivalry! Lucy the asshat and the shaved ape.
DeleteGainey and Carbo behind the Habs' bench in those clips.
ReplyDeleteI told my buddy at work yesterday I wouldn't be surprised to see ol Bergy pick Wiese up. 4th line depth is his M.O. this time of year.
ReplyDeleteKidz!
ReplyDeleteI hope all is well. I know I have been absent for a bit; Daddy went out for smokes and never came back. But I shan't miss this one!
DIE LEAF DIE
29!
DeleteCoincidence as I just notice your mug on the header pic here;

Daddy goes for milk, not smokes
DeleteMilk AND smokes?
DeleteLove that pic moe!
According to Hickey, 19th time the joke that is hockey day in Canada and Quebec never once a host province.

A bit early (Mardi Gras in on March 5th) but gumbo on the burner.

I’m going the quick and easy route, Campbell’s recipe!
DeleteNoice!
DeleteMushroom soup?
Canned mushroom soup AND packet of onion soup mix.
Delete«I’m ecstatic, I am on top of the world. The first time I got traded there it was a dream come true to play for my childhood favrotie team and now to get another opportunity, I’m so excited. I’m just really looking forward to getting there and working my way up » ol' CHip
ReplyDeletemclame is such a putrid fuck.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back CHip ... never forget him mocking asshat Lucy when h scored during a playoff game in Beantown. Didn't ol' Pretzel threaten to kill him during the lineup handshake at the end of that series? Such a class fucking act. Some people wanted bargy to take that contract off the Oilers hands, I say fuck that, I don't want that POS anywhere near the sacred flannel.
ReplyDeleteEAT SHIT AND DIE FUCKING TORONTO MEDIA!!!!
Just back in from the Dartmouth Ice Festival. Picked a good day for it, she's FHFuckin' cold and windy near the harbour.
ReplyDeleteJFW!
Wow we have a game of great proportions and temporal significance. 29 is in the house. This is the first game in most of a century between these teams that means anything. We are not playing for the house tonite.
ReplyDeleteI also welcome back Chip, he must be a solid guy for the org to do him a solid.
Revenge is a Dish best eaten cold, lets do it on ice.
The majority of Canadians are not ignorant, arrogant and egotistical fucks like mclame.
ReplyDeleteThe fucking media can't see past the present. Just a couple, maybe few, weeks ago the leafs and broons were in 2nd & 3rd, meeting on a Saturday and they basically had the first round match between the 2 teams booked for early April. Now it's leafs v Habs...first meaningful game in 40 years...playoff bound. Thing is there is still 20+ games left. There is a pretty good Boston team still right on the heels of these teams and a couple of teams nipping at the wildcard spots. So I suggest the SFU quit planning for their team's playoff partner and spend a little more time wringing their hands because fact is nobody is close to even cementing a spot yet, and certainly not a top 3 spot.
ReplyDeleteGreat comment.
DeleteAmen Saint Pad!
DeleteWell put StP. It's knowing their audience that built them this way. Morons like the "kids are alt-right" crowd - younger that us GenX and BabyBoomers are setting the mediot agenda. --SiM
Deletemclame and crotch do not represent Canada or anything Canadian, they never have. This is pure SFU made up bullshit.
ReplyDeleteMan, that is a bad mullett on Gene Principe...
ReplyDeleteThe leafool knucklehead panel actually gave the Habs some props.
ReplyDeleteI saw that I thought I was dreaming

I miss Danny and Dick... bob cold couldn't carry their jockstraps.
DeleteDick could walk into the booth now and be a better either play by play or colour guy than anyone working now
DeleteProbably going to watch from an undisclosed location with a one way faraday field.GYFHG.
ReplyDeleteWhy is the CBC stream from Canada not as good as the one from RUssia. Dicuss this instead of Qudafi duck.
Love these "when they were peewees" segment!
ReplyDeletewhat I would love is if they streamed at at least 24 FPS
DeleteIts like marleau never played for the Sharks. SFU is fucking warped.
ReplyDeleteOK, I'm not going to be posting too much, I have to concentrate on the game, eat popcorn and drink some beer/whiskey. Plus, blogger is driving me fucking crazy with it's fucking robot puzzles.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy bro.
Deletemclame is the most arrogant Canadian, ever. Fucking POS.
ReplyDeleteI am too excited / nervous to cook. I am just eating CHips and drinking Eagle Rare bourbon which just showed up at the SAQ. Delish!

ReplyDeleteGood thing we got 4 this is a mess so far
ReplyDeleteOk no more PPs. This is hard to watch.
ReplyDeleteFFS! 4 minute PP wasted.
ReplyDeleteSo let's mosy up to the blue line and dump it in while forwards are skating east west. Weird that doesn't work.
ReplyDeleteThat looked like embellishment to me.
ReplyDeleteFreddie was looking to draw a goalie interference penalty.
DeleteIt sure looked that way.
DeleteBetter shift for 4th line.
ReplyDeleteDecent period, some good play.
ReplyDeleteNot a bad period other than a couple 4th li e goals against and an embarrassing 'power' play. Had some chances. Keep it up and should stay with the leaf to the end. I'm saying there's a chance.
ReplyDeleteI'm more and more impressed with Kid KoHo every time he plays, the sneaky little moves he has, he's gonna be dynamite in another year or two.
ReplyDeleteI know they played a heck of a game against the Jets but the defence could use a little upgrade, I'm not sold on Reilly. That and a PP specialist for the love of God...
Time to lure my Shelly out of retirement....maybe Kovy too. And get Vodkov back, pay them all part time just for the PP.
ReplyDeleteCmon boys!
ReplyDeletePING
ReplyDeleteOh yeah baby Tataaaar!

ReplyDeleteNice PK.
ReplyDeleteTFS!
ReplyDeleteTFS makes great saves look routine.
ReplyDeletehe usually decides no more after a bad one. so hes let in two barfers tn. this means hes not gonna let another in tn and next game right?
ReplyDeleteknock wood, but essentially correct

ReplyDelete3 commercials showcasing leaf, matthews for sn hockeyville, tavares for sn rogers and marner for sn scotiabank.

DeleteI've seen multiple Habs penalized for unsportsmanlike for snow showering goalies. PK was one which explains that. The other goes back a few years. Maybe Gallagher?
ReplyDeleteFurther back, Lemaire on Cheevers.
DeleteDECLINE IT... err, CASH IT
ReplyDeleteFlacid PP aside, another well played period.
ReplyDeleteI have never had a Budweiser beer.

ReplyDeleteoh FUCK ME
ReplyDeleteFeck.
ReplyDeleteCould you get a little more excited Hugeson?
ReplyDeleteThe whole booth is creaming their pants
I'm really getting tired of the tongue bath the Leaf get every time they cross the blue line
ReplyDeleteSo according to the Rogers commercial, Tavares' first hockey memory is the '93 playoffs. Ya'd think he would be a Habs fan, but instead he's one of the 'if not for gretzky's high stick non call...' guy.
ReplyDeleteHeh, one of those 'big endorsements' and it comes from the team owners. Should be investigated.
DeleteG Y F H G!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletecmon boys you can do this
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!
ReplyDeleteCASH IT
ReplyDeleteCash it boys!

ReplyDeleteI am seriously annoyed
ReplyDeleteFuck!! Excuse me while I go and vomit.....
ReplyDeleteFUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK
ReplyDeleteOuf.
ReplyDeleteHad the better chances. Could have won. 3 pts against 2 of the 'better teams in the league'(so says everybody). More work ahead v Nashville and TB next Saturday. Keep er up boys.
ReplyDeleteBeen a great night hanging with you guys. L8R
Right back atCHa!
DeleteFUCKING BLUE AND WHITE COCKSUCKERS EAT SHIT AND DIE MOTHERFUCKERS
ReplyDeleteCouldn't but should've killed em tonight.
DeleteMaybe a bit of a let down after beating a better Jets team and Price wasn't sharp. He let in at least two shitty goals but those biased leaf broadcasters would never admit it.
DeleteAdmit it? They were ecstatic.
DeleteHabs outplayed those fuckers but yes TFS let in at least a weak one tonight. No worries, he deserves it for carrying the team for many weeks.
I turned the TV off immediately after those assholes scored ... couldn't stomach listening anymore to those two fucking fans.
DeleteOK, they were supposed to be bottom feeders this year yet they played the September Stanley Cup winners to a draw. OT is bullshit. It's OK.
ReplyDeleteno boys. no no no... this is exactly the loser type mentality that the higher ups couldnt stand when squid called em out for it. i will never be happy with lower expectations. saying that everything so far is a bonus cause the boys were supposed to be crap is even bigger crap! there is absolutely no reason why ANY team cannot be a surprise cup contender out of nothing. ive known it forever, was reaffirmed when they won the cup as the 3rd adams seed in '93 and was reminded again last yr with LV. u guy should be ashamed at yourselves for ALWAYS looking at the glass 1/2 full. this is what the delusional do in the SFU. remember?? we are better than them. "we pass to you the torch, be it yours to hold it high' remember that boys?
ReplyDeleteas for this loser pt... true... its 3 pts from 4, but these are also the type of games, you HAVE to win to get to the next level. there is no reason at all why this team AS IS, cannot go all the way. do not make excuses for them. all the proof u need to verify this anger i have, is to watch the reaction from DISH on the game winner cause Dano was dogging it allowing johnny an open road to scoring on BADcarey.
/rant end.
Oleg, personally speaking I think you might take acceptance of a single OT loss as acceptance of overall futility. This is untrue. I have always been and always be a proponent of there being one winner in any sporting event. Last year the Habs were equal to the LVK because both went home without the cup. There is the champs and everybody else. Just like there's no crying in baseball, there is no 2nd place in hockey.
DeleteSo while we are all pleasantly surprised to find our Habs fighting for a playoff spot this time of year, the season isn't won or loss in one meaningless game (don't let the leaffools tell you different) in early February. So you take the good with the bad, take the point and move on, and hopefully figure out the PP in your 4 days off.
And regarding dish, I imagine he was pissed at himself for his weak attempt at a stick check which easily allowed the puck to get through him to JT who made an incredible backhand in so close. Woulda been nice to grt that ave though.
That torch was extinguished 26 years ago. There is nothing to pass on anymore, no continuity of excellence.
DeleteTFS let in 3 that he might of stopped. Not that they were bad goals. We got beat on a broken assignment and a dynamic duo play. We gave them a bit of a crack and the ran through it. All in all it could have gone either way. I think we can take them in 7.
