Agree - New Orleans brings back plenty of amazing memories. Street musicians playing jazz on the sidewalk in 100 degree heat, go-cups full of Jack and Coke and loads of bizarre beads around my neck...
I have curling right after work. Round 1 of the playoffs - single elimination. Anyway, we are heading right after work to watch some of the NS v ON game. The NS skip was our bartender for a couple of seasons. Soooo, somebody lamented how because of our Tuesday curling league, we always miss Pancake Tuesday. Another teammate said but Tuesdays are for Tacos. So I suggested combining the two by making a thin pancake, putting fruit and whipped cream and folding it taco style. I go home for lunch and so that is just what I did and it was fantastic. With a side of bacon of course. If making yourself a pantaco, I suggest making sure the pan is really hot, then get once side crispy (but not burnt so be careful) and then the other side just enough to ensure it's cooked. This gives you the ability to do a good taco fold. My 2nd one was much better than the first because of this. #peachpantaco (first one pictured).
Sitting out KoHo for a game or two, good idea. I'm sure Jabba wanted to get 4WD (good nick!) into a game and they weren't going to sit N8v2.0 against his former team.
Aron Ward gave a really good answer. KidKo anylicts suck. His defence game needs work. Plus he has hit a physical wall, no need to heavy team him.
I only spent about 6 hours of Bourbon St. No one gave me any beads even though at some point I was topless. I thought it was brillant and cant understand why every city does not have a version of bourbon st. Also agree the food, especially gumbo is devine.
TFS ties JP for most wins by a Habs goalie. Congrats to him on that. He really needs a shuttie when he breaks it doesn't he! He should have had one tonight...
Wow, K3X was up late or up early over in Jolly Old.
Congrats to Carey Price on tying Jacques Plante record for wins with Montreal. He won't achieve the same legendary status as Plante, but when all is said and done he should be up there with the likes of Saint Patrick (but not Ken Dryden) if he can win a Cup or two.
Yep...it was a 5 am start for me today so the 2nd had just ended as I started my day...ended up being slightly late as it happened...but worthwhile. I was really pulling for TFS to get his shuttie...
Good win. Beating teams you should beat is mucho-important this time of year. A point vs SJ would be gravy.
I actually watched some of the B's/Canes game last night because the Canes were wearing the classic green Whalers sweaters in beantown. Pretty sharp I must say. Too bad the broons let them get a point though.

McSplooge is one of those people who can say anything and it sounds compelling. For all his faults there is some real hockey knowledge there. I do enjoy his semegan on the radio.
Pens vs BJs tomorrow night. I don't care who wins so long as it's in regulation. And probably better if Pens win - better odds of CBJ or Whalers falling off than Pens I imagine.
The SFU's complete disregard of TFS' milestone win is proof of why they are sick fucks. When a ratface tweet (but more importantly leafool reaction) is considered headline/mainpage uppermost hockey news you know there's a problem.
The wretched leaf and the shit stained bears are uppermost in the SFU head which is basically empty space. I don't want those fuckers any where near the Habs anyway. Let them live in their own little blue white brown yellow fantasyland.
I think the Toronto Star is the only voice of reason in Canada. Every other major newspaper is doing fellatio on their favorite Senator, and I am not talking about the Ottawa ones. I see a night after Carey tied JP for all-time wins in a Canadiens sweater, MAF tied his overall record at 437. Plante was before my time so I looked him up. While I knew he didn't finish his career in MTL, I didn't realize how many more years he played and how many other teams, including the wretched leaf and finished off with the broons.
The number of players to stay with one team for an entire career must be pretty low. It seems like it was more common back in the day, but when I think about the likes of Lafleur, Robinson, Roy, Gretzky, etc. it's true that anybody can be traded or let go. Kind of sad - there are a lot of players that just seem like they should only ever play for one team. That goes for all teams in the NHL and most sports leagues.
AWD - the Weal Deal - ended up with not only his first goal as a Hab, but I note it was also a Game-Winning Goal. Wonder how often that's happened in the CHistory?

Karlsson is out tonight. So there's that. I hope to hell we win tonight. I am so so so sick of being reminded that the last time the Canadiens picked up two points in San Jose, Clinton was POTUS and Saku scored the winner in OT. KidKo wasn't just not born yet, he wasn't even CONCEIVED FFS!

I had kinda forgotten about her, she was a pioneer for women in racing for sure.
We used to street race where I grew up, long stretches of two lane blacktop with little to no traffic later in the evening. One thing I notice when I return home for a visit, the long standing tradition of leaving black marks all over the road from burning rubber,
I used to street race in my 650 CC Austin Mini. I worked at the local gas station and knew all the cops and they just let me go. I was only taking up half a lane.
This kind of makes sense, they are probably going to lose anyway, SJ is one of aunti nemo's former teams. Price has a better chance against Anaheim tomorrow night, if the Habs have anything left in the tank.

I think by putting Ime iN in net last night they seceded the game, so what was the point of putting the kid in against those giants. I think this was there mindset.
CJ said he was resting him 2 games so should be back on the ice tonight. Sit Thompson. Leave AWD in.
Niemi is probably done, but unless Price gets injured I don't think the Habs will bring up an AHLer at this point. Primeau, while intriguing, will finish his university career at Northeastern. So, the improbable playoff run will rest on Carey's broad shoulders. There is only one more btb so he will have to tough it out. Listening to Mike Boone last night on BobCat's show, he said even if the Habs were to lose every game from here on out (which they won't) this season will still be considered successful, based on the results of last season. I'm not getting my hopes up. Columbus is in trouble but they can still turn it around. Never count out Sid and Company. The Hurricanes are the wild card, can they keep it up? They have nothing to lose bu neither do the Habs really. That's the race, between those two.
Even if the Habs falter, they still have a shot at winning the draft lottery or at least moving up ... we could have some serious fun with the name Kappo Kakko... (!)
14 games left. Best win at a pretty good clip over the next 10. Because I was just checking to see which games I will miss that last week and the final 4 games of the season are at Jets vs Bolts at Caps vs Leaf

Think I'll record this game and get up tomorrow morning early and watCH. I hope I'm not disappointed but I don't have a good feeling. However, they have two more points than I thought they would.
Not to worry, Boston are gonna smoke the sorry ass leaf in the first round, leaving the fucked up sfu to wallow in their schadenfreude. The stupid leafools in Nathan Phillips Square will be crying in their blue and white towels. Heh.
come on maritimer! for once u and the others can stay up a lil to watch live with me! u dont know how stupid it is and/or frustrating to watch ice hockey at 1630!
happy sexy friday boys. good loss last night. only goat (not the good kind) on the night was auntie imo...
u know that 0.0 goal that lb scored at the end there? ive always wished there was a way to count those like basketball. anybody have an idea to do that for ice hockey?
I do not have Netflix or Facebook or use Google for obvious reasons. However, the truth edition of the USA has an excellent summary of what you might watch. Its Ironic that most of the top movies are anti- establishment. As anti Antidisestablishmentarianism premiers you have to wonder, is there still rage against the machine
Of this list from which it is hard to pick I go 1)apocalypse now - so emotional napalm 2)Clockwork ORange - he never knew about face book but made a movie about it 3)Heat -best heist movie ever, and we all dream about a heist .
After an embarrassing loss like last night, a tried and true method to forget such nonsense and turn things around is to make fun of the SFU and their ridiculous efforts to get clicks out of their leafool followers. How about these beauties...
Matthews unhappy with line's play of late: 'I feel we can be a lot better'
If Bruins pull away, could boredom be a concern for Leafs down the stretch?
Ha ha ha. How fucking dumb are these clowns anyway?
I'm not sure what to watch tonight, a movie of some kind probably, maybe an old favourite from the blu-ray collection.
Best case scenario for Habs fans and a fuck you to buttman.
I hope the Habs make it as well, it would be a good experience for all the youngsters. As last night showed, the defence still needs some serious work. Brian Wilde pointed out on Twitter and I concur : Weber should be a #2, Petry a #4 and Mete a #5. The Habs need a new #1 and 3, maybe they could take a run at Karlsson if San Jose can't sign him. bargainbin has the cap space. available
I am afraid BBQ is going to be our number one for a number two number of years. We cant spend another 10 mil on a D man. Lets hope Jewel can recover, Cale Fluery looks good, can we call him Snowy? I got a feeling BBB has zerod in on a foul for D. In two years we will have a Tsar to go with TaTaaaar. Tsar to Tataaaaar, scores. Meat is still only a single slice sandwich, just wait until he grows another slice. Next year we have Dano, Kidko and Pooh Bear as our top 3, and a 4th line fleet of specialists for every occasion.

A good chance the better teams (Jets, Bolts, Caps) sit some regulars for their playoff run.
DeleteGood to see the Habs already involved in a playoff clinching game. A regulation loss to the Ducks gives TB a playoff spot.
ReplyDeleteHeh, the SFU mediots are yipping about blabcock's upcoming playoff/career challenge.
ReplyDeleteHere's the thing, blabs' ain't got no Lidstrom or Yzerman or Hasek.
"Blabcock" made me giggle out loud. Cats are staring at me, heh.
DeleteCuz they love you and are wondering is she ok.
Delete; )
Might've made the best pulled pork I ever made!
ReplyDeleteAre you making a sammich with it?
DeleteYep, mini sourdough buns.
DeleteOoh!
DeleteLooking forward to win #315 tonight for TFS™.
ReplyDeleteThink I'll record this game and get up tomorrow morning early and watCH. I hope I'm not disappointed but I don't have a good feeling. However, they have two more points than I thought they would.
ReplyDeleteNot to worry, Boston are gonna smoke the sorry ass leaf in the first round, leaving the fucked up sfu to wallow in their schadenfreude. The stupid leafools in Nathan Phillips Square will be crying in their blue and white towels. Heh.
goole./ blogger ate another of my golden nuggets, I wonder sometimes why I ever use the internet.
ReplyDeleteit would help if I could ever remember what I said
DeleteLemon curd paçzki!
ReplyDeleteJets slapping the Canes.
ReplyDeleteWatching Creed ll, had to go full circle and see the last film Sly would portray Rocky. Fight scenes are good though.
ReplyDeleteHoly shit, RDS just gave tremblay the mic to dedicate today's International Womens day.
ReplyDeleteThis fucking POS was tagged for domestic violence FFS !

Holy hell.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if our boys have a burning sensation when on the PP. All I know is it's painful to watch.

ReplyDeleteu know that 0.0 goal that lb scored at the end there? ive always wished there was a way to count those like basketball. anybody have an idea to do that for ice hockey?
ReplyDeleteUgh. Just going to erase the game on the PVR.
ReplyDeletePlayoff team...yeah right.
ReplyDeleteThis is on CJv2. Price should have played SJ.
May or may not have changed the outcome but seems like the right play.
DeleteNever fight a land war in Asia, and never play the mighty ducks on a back to back in March.
ReplyDeleteMade it to 4-2, woke up, yikes 8-2!
ReplyDeleteWhat's on tonight?
ReplyDeleteDigging out the backyard snowbanks (my shortest cedar hedges are 9' and the snow reaches right up there).
DeleteCurried shrimp.
'Hereditary' on Netflix.
Sexy Sunday.
ReplyDeleteOf this list from which it is hard to pick
I go
1)apocalypse now - so emotional napalm
2)Clockwork ORange - he never knew about face book but made a movie about it
3)Heat -best heist movie ever, and we all dream about a heist
.
After an embarrassing loss like last night, a tried and true method to forget such nonsense and turn things around is to make fun of the SFU and their ridiculous efforts to get clicks out of their leafool followers. How about these beauties...
ReplyDeleteMatthews unhappy with line's play of late: 'I feel we can be a lot better'
If Bruins pull away, could boredom be a concern for Leafs down the stretch?
Ha ha ha. How fucking dumb are these clowns anyway?
I'm not sure what to watch tonight, a movie of some kind probably, maybe an old favourite from the blu-ray collection.
I think take-out is in order tonight...
SFU = pure fucking desperation.
DeleteHope the Habs make the playoffs.
Hope whoever meets the leaf wins in 4.
Dinner switch, now corn and clam chowder.
Hope br00nz destroy leaf.
DeleteHope Dolts destroy br00nz.
Hope Jets win Cup.
DeleteI was just about to push ye old panic button, then I read Ekund. He says we are going to make it. Whew that was close.
