On Nature Boy's first foray at Centre: 6-1 on faceoffs (no one else on the team won 50% of theirs), +1, no points, one hit, one block, over 13 min. TOI. Think he's good to stay there. Plus, CJv2 had no opportunity to protect him on match-ups, being on the road for it.

Watched the first 2 eps of Jack Ryan season 2 last night. Good series, nice change of bad guy scenery. But I do keep waiting to find out that Dwight Shrute is the big bad.
steve: i love that math. ive always been a b- type myself, but a b+ team is definitely these guys. not the most talented, but definitely try hard each night, never give up on a play, ocassionally does outstanding stuf, will never disappoint, will never not show up. this team is b+, yes
sp: jack ryan looks awesome on the commercials, but the guys is jim! i dont know if i can ever get that out of my head. and yes, if i start watchin, dwight is hell ya better be the bad guy.
rant: 1. i love seeing them relegated to the second channel. its citytv where i am. it bothers u guys more than me, but on the second channel, it gets them away from the main guys which u all hate so much. the colour guy, millen had some good observations already too. he pointed out the habs are doing well on this road trip, were waiting for the stars while they played the avs last night so this the perfect environment to build team character. totally agree.
he also pointed out that n8zuki is getting a great chance on the 2nd line like how koko got his break last yr as a rookie.
2. love the jump the boys had out of the gate. at one point they were up 8-0 sog. and were definitely owing the stars. the thing about that is, if you dont score, something like this (them scoring) always happens. another good test (which i expect them to pass btw) to see em come back.
3. i saw cpt bbq, CHariot, and reiley jump in from the blueline to keep the puck in/generate a scoring chance. is this a deliberate result of the coaching giving them the green light to do so? if is, i definitely encourage also. yeah! finally some aggressive tactics/positive playing.
4. on that time CHariot pinched in, he got taken out and druid skated hard to cover him at the blueline. well done johnny!
5. oleksiak: is that the brother of the swimmer girl? klefbomb, klefboom: are these the same guys? joel/jordan: i always wanna get them mixed up. pavelski is on the stars now? perry also?! dont care about perry, but how much would it have cost to get pavelski?! is it just me? or are these things signs im getting old and senile?
Was not penalty shot worthy. But best way to describe that period is sloppy seconds. Could always use the sfu excuse of 3rd game in 4 nights, but then Dallas are playing 2nd night of a btb. Both teams should be losing.

Just finished season 1 of Jack Ryan, a pretty good CIA thriller, but I was one step ahead figuring out the terrorists' plans the whole time. Pretty predictable stuff really. I kept waiting for Steve Carell to show up telling them to STOP WORKING!
The M - Netflix have been pushing the launch of Jack Ryan Season 2 so I thought I should get Season 1 done first - or do I need to bother and can I just jump into Season 2 without a lot of back story?
There will be a lot of folks expecting a lot more from Poe than he is actually going to give us. Hope he can use his size well and play both ends of the ice successfully for starters.
And if he takes that dirty rat faced bastard out, that is a bonus. I see ex broon pretzel is also still a dirty fucker, getting 2 games for 'roughing' by smashing an unexpected player in the face, gloves on.
So totally missed Saturday night game - sorry guys - been crazy weekend. So I am slightly excited that I will be in Montreal next weekend - sadly attending a funeral (Not Mom of K3X - she is doing fine thanks!) Haven't been in Montreal since the very early 90's so feeling slightly "weirded out" by the prospect of it all. I see we have Vegas at the Bell Centre too - so who knows - might venture that way (if I can find it!)...Forecast looks like it might even snow - which migth make it even more interesting - especially considering I am driving down from Oshawa with Mom of K3X. Is it still called the 401 or have they renamed that too?
EAP call up should be interesting. So far this season the TOI has been pretty evenly spread out so he should expect at least 11-12 mins a game to start - ranging up to 17-18 depending if he gets PP time etc. I will be interested to see if his call up changes the way Claude plays with the mix or if he just slots him right in where KK was?
