the scary thing is this type of rhetoric is winning. tribal power personified. I thought we were far past that, but worldwide this appeal is making a digitating comeback. In my own beloved province of Ontario we have something worse. When I grew up the concept of being an Ontario on was not even considered. Maybe because Ontario ran Canada. Politician who win on division lead to the new math, that no one can understand. They seek confusion to be the only rational choice amongst the howling wolves that want your vote.
I haven't read what this is about and pretty sure I don't need to. Move the effing desert t am to QC already.
Be nice to see what Norlinder brings and CP30 with another start. Of course the Pats are on later so I'll be switching to that since they are actually looking like a playoff team.
Today is my Birthday and I am having a good time, whiCH mean no second period for me. However I am excited to see all the UTES thrown into the swimming pool of the NHL, watCH out for the Turds boys. There was a rumour that Molson was considering selling the team. Not sure who has the nearly $1B that would likely cost but if true, make it happen and blow this fucker up. If it's not true, I can't see more than a few more games like this before Molson has to do it himself. One would hope.
I don't mind a hard fought loss, running into a hot goaltender, but I absolutely hate an embarrassing 'no effort' loss. I didn't watch last night, I didn't have to, when I checked to see what the score was. Is scorched earth, top to bottom, the only answer? I don't know.
This pretty much echoes how I feel right now and yes, I don't believe all these players have forgot how to play the game. They have quit on this guy. Big time.
"I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, last Summer’s Cup run was the result of 20 guys working hard to get their captain and goaltender a Cup before it was too late, it had nothing to do with the coaching if you ask me. Remember towards the end of last season when the Canadiens weren’t sure to make the playoffs and people were saying that the situation wasn’t fair on Ducharme because he didn’t get the chance to have a full training camp with his team? Well, he got it this season and a fat load of good that did them.
It's high time to go back to the drawing board, clean house, exit Bergevin and his multiple 5-year plans, exit Ducharme and his system the players seem unable to execute and most of all, time to evaluate and decide who to sell this trade deadline or even earlier this team has got nothing left to lose. Mr. Molson, if you are reading this, we’ve had enough, we cannot take it anymore, the fans love this team, but they do not deserve to suffer through this. Do the right thing and put the right people for the job in place and no, we do not care where they are from or which language they speak or attempt to speak, enough is enough."
I will admit that I watched until the 3rd goal went in. The defence was completely lost. I liked what I saw from Norlinder and Caufield and Poehling. They are the future. But the coach has lost the room. No one knows WTF they are meant to do. 3 year contract or not...FFS - something has to change...some thing big...Play the kids.
Well at least I was able to watch my other team pitch a shutout last night.
I've decided to quit griping and prognasticating because there is no use in wasting the energy. Molson gives zero fucks about what the fans think and he'll do or not do whatever that is. All I know is there is the start of a good young core in danger of being totally fucked up without changes.
I wonder if Geoff Molson realizes if he hired an actual President of Hockey Ops he wouldn't have to be the one to fire his GM and coach? He could stay hidden in his office forever. Do us all a favour and just be the owner. Or sell all the Molson shares to Bell and let some other incompetent executive take over.
I wish bergy a speedy recovery. I got my booster shot Wednesday (my age and doses allowed it) and am just now feeling better, took 48 hrs. I hope that's it for that stuff for a long while.
Québec's PM can Legault fuck himself.
ReplyDeleteHe can buy his own fucking team and we'll even donate our Paquette of Smokes.
DeleteHe's gonna turn off the whole world with his plein-kétain brand of pure-laine bullshittery. And drag us all with him, the putz.
DeleteI saw that stuff earlier but didn't know whether to comment. Pretty sad for Habs fans when being Quebecois is more important than winning.

"plein-kétain brand of pure-laine bullshittery..." SiM - that is a classic phrase of the highest order! Kudos!

Went out for some after work birthday beers with my buddy/boss and had a couple of delicious milk stouts. His bday...
ReplyDeleteOrdered Thai for supper. Pad Thai, Mossoman Beef Currie, fried spring rolls. Ginger cookie for dessert.

ReplyDeleteI haven't turned the game on guess I won't bother.
ReplyDeleteYikes just turned back from football to see the Pens are on their way to putting a touchdown vs the Habs. Up 5 zip in 2nd...back to the pigskin it is.
ReplyDeleteI would say they've tuned dd out. he'll be gone this weekend, if not sooner. The guy couldn't coach a peewee house league team.

ReplyDeletePéladeau *shudders*
DeleteThe Bergevin era should end here. Now. Geoff should give Pres. Role to Bobby Smith, and let him choose a new mgmt team.
ReplyDeleteKnow what's abit batty? WrongSavard has been solid the last couple games. He and Norlinder were the only D-pair to come out even in +/-
ReplyDeleteOnly personal motivations are driving anyone to play right now.
Bill 96A - 'An act to force immigrants to dream about hockey in French'

ReplyDeleteI left at 2-0.

2 Dmen down and out in EDM. Make a trade.
ReplyDeleteWhilst here;
ReplyDeletethe USofA is one fucked up country. Stay away.
You couldn't pay me to cross that border. Bunch of gun-slinging whack jobs.
DeleteAnd now the team just released the news that Bergevin tested +ive for COVID-19 this morning. Damn, I hope he has a full and speedy recovery.
