  2. Hey kidz! Your (least?) favorite Flyers fan here. Moeman, sorry about your condition, sounds very painful and I hope you feel better soon. You guys may hate us, but have pity. Your team at least has some good young talent to look forward to. We are so bad at both drafting and developing players that I can't even root for a tank/draft pick. But hey, we got 5 more years of Ristolainen-whoopee!
I won't be able to tune in tonight as I have a prior commitment but enjoy our incompetence!

You don't see goals scored like that much anymore. That's old school. The Road Runner used to shoot like that!

As an aside, go to torontosportsnetwork, very little on the leaf, top stories are the Brier, NFL stuff and tennis. The wretched leaf are buried. The SFU are embarrassed.

I wonder what kind of a messed up system DD had in place that caused such widespread damage.
I mean we are fundamentally different overnight. What was a system so wrong that les boyz couldn't/wouldn't buy into it. How wrong could it have been.
Watching them on a tear is great and bringing into light the necessity or not of a rebuild/reset/augment ...
We shouldn't be dumping Chariot or Leko. We should be keeping them. I understand Dish wants out so fine trade him. But this is a great time to get rid of some underperformers. I'm not a member of Club Druid and I wish Army could get his six foot four moving every game. We don't need Wrong Savard or Wideman and I'm getting very impatient with Poeling.
    Anyway I digress.
    Go Habs

Hey CHester, I suspect we are in the same age bracket because we seem to think similarly. I agree with keeping Ben and Leko, although I believe both will be gone shortly. I would also trade Dish and keep Ben for the reason he is a big, mean motherfucker who can motor when he wants to. For example, the only reason the gutless puke narcos tried to take Dahlin's head off is because he's a Swede. Does narcos even try that with Big Ben? LOL, no fucking way!

Keep Chiarot and Tsar as a pair, give Jordan Harris to JEd to mentor, or pickup Letang on a hometown discount, bring back Northlander, let Guhle ripen in Laval. Lots of options.

I want to see Dvo under MSL, could care less about Drouin. Trade EAP for the McBain kid in Minny. 6 more sleeps!

    2. M I kinda agree, but I want one more year of tank. IMHO we always failed to tank two years.
We got Whiskey because all the other GM where drunk on size.

      Also agree.
Have to have a couple of big mean D men. It's nice to have a 6'5" friend in JEd and Big Ben is a solid shutdown D man who can be angry. You need those guys. We have those young D coming up but not quite there as yet.
Also we saw what happened when we let Dano go. The same effect will be felt if we let Leko go.
These are pieces to the puzzle that we have and we should keep them. These guys are NOT passengers and they are not breaking the bank. We're paying Claude and DD more than them to stay away. I still don't know who EAP is, some help here.
      Go Habs

Poehling, we took the Poe part and came up with Edgar Allen Poe = EAP.

Yes, you need those big mean guys. They make the likes of marner and narcos run like little bitches.

Unfortunately, Geoff has to indeed pay DD for two more seasons after this unless somebody else hires him. Can't see it but you never know. And, Claude comes off the books this April, I think, when the regular season is done.

    5. Ben, aka Chariots of Eggs, will not necessarily be lost once traded (and he will be, for sure) since he'll be a UFA in July, and if he wants to return, HuGo just needs to make him the right offer.

Leko is a keeper, LB and Lep maybe not, the way they are apparently less effective under MSL. Pack 'o Smokes cleared waivers (so universally unwanted), Druid can go, Wrong Savard might be a contract too tough to deal. Perrault will probably be gone, no one know if Devo is any good in playoff hockey, so likely to stay. Kadillak might get dealt, GI Finn (I hope) will find his new home, EAP (I hope not, but hard to peg).

In any case the days are slipping away and the sance partners may not be too numerous this year. But the new mgmt has all the space in the world to pull many triggers if they want to.

Another D off the board, Manson from the Ducks to the Avs. Chiarot up next? Some GMs have to be getting antsy.

People have to remember also, even in the event the Habs get Wright or Cooley, it's doubtful they play next season as 18 year olds. Superman and the Flash promised there would be more and better development for the new recruits. No more ruining kids like gCHuk or Kid KoHo. So, they will need players next season like Dvo and KidG. They've got 12 picks in the upcoming draft including 2 1st rounders. The cupboard will be well stocked. 2024 should be a good year if Price still has game.

    1. Excellent point. I alsolook at tge prospects and just don't want any deal where we loce Harris, Roy or Ylonen.

    2. the Maritimer9:21 AM

Harris will play if Hughes convinces him to sign, which I believe he will. The new (Y) has a shot if Leko is traded. He's a LW as well with better scoring instincts. Josh Roy will be back in the Q as he will only be 19 next season.

    2. Seriously though I don't think they give him up for less than a first and decent prospect. Pens do have Damn PO Joseph and winger Sam Poulin in the system, each of them are Quebecois. Which, like it or not, is a consideration.
