(Ö) recalled. Stay with me here. Ylönen may not be a dead ringer, but looks similar or McCauley Culkin's Kevin from the Home Ylönen movies. And the famous shot of him holding his face.
Good stuff. I just tuned in time to see the 4-1 goal. On 7 shots. Bad Monty? No Chariot? Or overall crappy play? Whatever the cause, seems they intend to keep themselves planted firmly to the cellar floor tonight.
Good loss last night. Cemented a bottom 3 finish, almost guaranteed.
26 New Jersey 60 22 33 5 49
27 Buffalo 60 20 32 8 48
28 Ottawa 59 21 33 5 47
29 Philadelphia 59 18 30 11 47
30 Arizona 60 20 36 4 44
31 Seattle 61 18 37 6 42
32 Montreal 60 16 36 8 40
If the Habs even manage to play .500 (say 1 game below .500) they finish with 60 points. Philthy and the Turds are getting at least 14 points in 23 games. So worse case scenario is a 3rd last finish, guaranteeing a top 5 pick. I'll take it and I'm still not 100% sold that Shane is the Wright way to go, so if they end up with Slapshotsky or Savoie, I'm not too beat up about that.
Go for a RD with the Calgary pick. Maybe even Tristan Luneau from Trois Rivieres.
And perhaps Smallville Clark (Jack Hughes) is available with their first of 3 (so far) 3rd round picks.
"In fact, if you ignore the score, the Canadiens dominated the game at five-on-five. Per Natural Stat Trick, the shot attempts were 61-27 in favour of Montreal on the night, the shots on goal were 36-12, and the scoring chances 32-14. The Canadiens had an expected goals percentage of over 65%, but in reality were outscored 4-2 at five-on-five."
All this fancy analytical talk just tells me that the Habs goalie sucked.
Well, good news folks as Jake the Snake is back baby, and Carey may be not to far behind. Montankbeault and Primo can't go to Laval soon enough.
Frank Vatrano to the Rags from the Panthers probably means Leko is going nowhere. I'm good with that. Apparently Clark Kent said Leko is part of the Habs 'cultural fabric'. Good to hear although I doubt Legault agrees.
I love creative destruction and the two most creative teams at the end of this season will be Vegas and Torrranna. Vegas, Whalercanes and Tranna are masters of a universe that needs a black hole.
Bye Ben, thank you for great service, especially your treatment of the vile narcos and l'il mitch last May. I hope you do the same to them with FLA if you play those fuckers.
Farewell to #8 and thanks for the great run last year. I echo the M's statement about him maybe getting the chance to ragdoll Underpants this year in the playoffs.
All the leafools who said the Habs couldn't get a 1st round pick let alone a 20 year old prospect plus a 4th round pick are crawling back under their rocks. Hahahahahaha!!!!
This looks like a job for Superman! Up! Up! and Away!!!
As sad as it is sometimes to move on from good players, it is time to move on from bergy's vision for the Habs, especially on defence. Gorton and Hughes are far from done I think, and there will be far less, if any, rummaging in other teams dumpsters to fill holes. No more Dwight Kings, Martinsons or Otts.
Yay! The Habs get a real NHL goaltender back and an NHL center as well. Larry Dolphin can go back to Laval as well. I just hope the Snake has stretched out those groin muscles well.
Keith Richards' 'Main Offender' remastered is fucking great.
ReplyDeleteEAP to IR.

I don't know how to do the accent symbols.
DeleteTrue...I happened to be on my phone when I thought of this. Tougher on a keyboard.
Delete(o) still work or is that just a butthole?😬
DeleteI like (Y)2.0 but I'm good with whatever.
DeleteI thought it was settled we call him Yony which is Sanskrit for Viagina?
DeleteWe are facing the possibly of a wheat shortage. What is real no more delivery by Chariots of Eggs
ReplyDeleteI am out at the moment, just che led the score, looks like Full Monty is off tonight?

ReplyDeleteWhiskey!
ReplyDeleteMake it a double!
DeleteTuned into the game just in time to see CC get his double. Does he have a couple more in that stick?
ReplyDeleteNo quit in these guys.
Sounds like if they had gotten any goaltending in the first period this game was winnable.
ReplyDeleteI saw a gif over at EOTP, Montgomery beside a tank during WWII, pretty funny... Full Monty the tank commander.
Montankbeault
DeleteNice!
DeleteNever heard of the Yotes goalie but he must be good.
ReplyDeleteWell I didn't watch much but went back and saw those 2 beauties by CC.
ReplyDeleteNeed to just forget he ever existed but we'll never know how DD was able to break so many players in such a short time.

Logan Cooley (USNTDP) would be a great consolation prize, I've read some good things about him.
DeleteIf Superman (funny, he looks more like Lex Luthor) can swing a deal for Jack McBain, I feel EAP's days with the Habs will be numbered.
If they could get his rights for one of their 3rds, why not? A gamble with any player with the option of heading to free agency, but worth it I'd say.
