  1. Love EVERYTHING about this thread moe! Well done.

Iron Kaiden. Love it. Turns out the number of the beast is 21. Heard a great interview by Tom Power (one of the best) with Ozzy yesterday morning on CBC.

Love WiFi for Xhakej too. Gets away from the obvious AX stuff. I also liked Scrabble and Groot but am happy to stick with WiFi.

A cat strutting out of the office. What's not to like.
    The lovelies. Lovely.

And of course you know I can never have enough HB.

I too am off after today until Hallowe'en. Tomorrow is Mrs Pad's very significant birthday (she's much older than I) and next Friday is her last day of work, retiring from Club Fed. So I got stuff to do. It ain't a vacation, but it ain't work! Might even fit one more round in with these temps staying in the mid-teens.

Happy Birthday to your significants! Happy Retirement to Mrs. Saint Paddy! I've been retired from my career job for 14 years, holy cow where did that time go?!? It's been great is all I can say.

So, I've been having knee problems for some time now but it (the right one) has given up the ghost. I can't walk for more than 10 minutes or so and I'm in pain. Finally got in to my family doc after X-rays and weeks of waiting yesterday and the diagnosis is osteoarthritis, which has gone from mild to moderate in two years time. Probably after two or three more years I am looking at replacement surgery. In the meantime I am waiting to get a cortisone shot which will, hopefully, give me some relief for a few months. I'm still playing golf but take a power cart. After a little slump, I'm back to shooting in the 80's, I got into the bad habit of swinging too hard off the tee which just messes everything up.

If UK3X reads this post, I am looking at doing a tour of London and maybe a few excursions to some of the tourist spots like Stonehenge next year once I get some mobility back. Any suggestions for a hotel for a home base for a week or 10 days? Appreciate any help.

I think the rest of the league just got served notice, don't mess with the WiFi.

Remember last season when Kassian ran Monty and Dish 'didn't see it' even though he was looking right at it? That ain't happening again.

What a difference a year makes. It was embarrassing to watch this team this time last season under the effing useless ducharme. What a twit that guy was.

Hockey being what it is has that element to it that other sports don't. Whether or not you agree with fighting it's an ingrained part of the north american game. We haven't had a Sheriff in some time and with all our young guys coming up some protection is important. This is where Wifi plays that role. Best thing about him is that he can also play D. We have had years of being run by goons like Loochich and had no response other than sending someone out to get punched out and take a couple for the team. OK so don't play him 24 minutes a game but keep him on the bench it allows everyone else to go out and play skilled hockey. I'm just loving the new look to this team from Hugo on down to Wifi and our new captain. And congrats to The Slavster for number one in our barn and with attitude as well. The future is bright.
    Go Habs

I have been waiting a long time, like waiting for a friend long time for DEVO to give me satisfaction.
I am not satisfied, and I am ready to put him in the dumpster with all the bad Bergy. IMHO Bergy won more than he lost, but the stupid things he did amaze me.

Blah blah ... leaf ... blah blah blah ... leaf ... blah ... matthews is a superstar ... blah blah ... matthews is the best player in the league ... yeah you keep pushing that narrative SFU. Nobody outside the cotu believes it.

  28. the Maritimer6:51 PM

Oh look, Kaiden Guhle and Arber, mclame and Bieksa actually know about them. No mention of Cole Caufield who has more goals than the superstar or Slick Nick with the penalty shot of the year, no need to mention them.

A young Habs team got schooled by a very good, experienced Dallas side. There were a few too many passengers for Montreal tonight, including the Gold Dust twins, but not one Arber Xhekaj, that guy comes to play. How do you take him out of the lineup? You don't. When M'n'M and JEd return, who comes out, answer: Wideman and Kovy3.0 are the likely candidates with the new guy as the spare.

The wretched, despicable leaf win tonight, who cares, they are an October team, so fuck off SFU.

Filip Mesar starring for Kitchener the last two games, prospects like him and Roy in Sherbrooke will be excellent players hopefully in the future when the likes of the useless Drouin and wore out Hoffman are out the door. I can't figure what Marty is thinking about those two, he must feel sorry for them, especially JD.

One thing MSL HAS to fix is the putrid PP. If the Habs cannot score with a man advantage, the opposition will never be scared to take penalties against them. Somebody has to go to the net for a deflection or rebound. Wideman and CC can pass the puck back and forth all day, won't accomplish zip.

Dallas PP was pure high level urologist. They moved everything, bodies pucks sticks, we still move to many pucks. If Whiskey does not get at least 2 shots on the PP, we should look for a better PP

  37. Watching my Pats and 2nd year QB Jones comes back from injury and is terrible. Sits for rookie QB Zappe by the 2nd quarter and the rook marches down for TDs on consecutive drives. There just may be a QB controversy...but Jones is clearly not fully recovered.
AND in need the Pats to win by 8 or more and a total of 43 points or more to win the week and get my $200 pool fee back.

  38. Andor dialogue is top-notch. To whit:
CASSIAN (to his surogate grandmoth.er, Maarva): You haven't done much packing. What is this?
    MAARVA: I'm not going.
C: What are you talking about?
    M: I'm staying.
    C: But it's... it's not safe.
    M: i know all that.
C: I can't be here... You said it yourself. "It's all come undone." There's an Imperial barracks on Rix Road!
    M: Good luck to them.
C: You want to live under that?
    M: It's happening everywhere.
C: Well we'll find a place they haven't ruined yet.
M: I'm already there. That place is in my head. They can build as many barracks as they like; they'll never find me.
C: What's left to keep you here?
    M: The Rebellion.
