  1. Update ~ Second blood test reveals no Lyme disease. No gout. New doctor says infection decreasing. Actual results of infection later. No more IV antibiotics for now and 10 days of anti inflammatory medicine. No real pain, just a lot of swollen knees.

  2. Looks like Math making his debut and Tweed is the first to sit.

Let's hope the defence plays a little more conservative to start the game. Get a lead then open up a little. Math and JEdi should be the 1st pairing, that will give wrongSavard some easier matchups. Don't get me wrong he's been playing well but turns the puck over a little too much for my liking.

I'd also like to see Slaf get a few more minutes with better players.

Almost time to tune in and listen to mclame and his clown show talk the laffs and nothing else.

  8. Surprised the Phuvkers didn't challenge that goal against. With Gallagher at the net there is better than an 80% chance of winning the challenge.

Anyone else reading about how hackstall and the Krakheads are treating Shane Wright? Scratched in 5 straight games, gets very few minutes when he does play. I feel bad for the kid, he should have went back to the OHL, Kingston would have traded him to a contender and maybe he competes for the Memorial Cup. I wonder how his ego would have handled it? Better than sitting in the press box all the time I would think. Maybe they let him go play for Team Canada at least.

  30. Nice dub. Best thing now might be waiting for a reporter to ask Torts a dumb question. I'll check that out in the morning.

  31. So... missed the first teo periods. What did Hoff do that got him benched for the third? Or will they announce they traded him?

    1. Per Arpon Basu:
Martin St. Louis says Mike Hoffman was hurt but he felt he could help them on the power play if they got one and that’s why he was sitting in the bench. He’ll be reevaluated tomorrow.

  34. Holy crap, reading some excerpts from Pierre Gervais's book, just released, in French from laPresse. What an a-hole MaxPac was! What a prince Koivu was! What a dismally clueless moron DoHarm was as a coach! What we saw and surmised was on point, according to the former equipment mgr.

Don't want to beat on a dead horse (Ducharme) but, two things: 1) I always felt that Finals run was more Richardson, Perry, Weber and Price leading that team, not the HC and 2) when the team was so fucking dismal last year, I figured the problem was DD. The players didn't forget how to play hockey, they either couldn't or wouldn't play his fucked up system. No way that team could be that bad. I've seen a few snippets of that book on Twitter, it certainly seems DD was in over his head when it came to coaching an NHL team. You don't treat those players like you do a junior team.

That game was entertaining start to finish. Lots of goals, back and forth play, another Jackeye scrap, last minute heroics. I wonder if Coach Marty took Coach Torts out for a drink after?

60 is a lot, but he is a pure shooter. If Suzuki can keep feeding him it's possible. There seems to be a lot of good karma around this team since HuGo and MSL took over.

      Delete
    2. Excellent. You decoded my awkwardly phrases question 😬.

I agree 60 might be a stretch but ya never know. I don't doubt he and Suzuki will each have multiple 40+ goal seasons. Cole should hit 50.

      Delete
    3. the Maritimer9:11 PM

Barring injuries, the Gold Dust twins should both hit 40+, they each have 11 goals one quarter of the way into the season.

  39. Hey good news for UK3X. I just read that the Habs play Chicago at 2PM EST (7pm? in England) on Black Friday.

  40. Somebody pointed out a clip of Saturday's tying goal of Suzuki giving Deangelo (as in he of the racist/homophobic slurs) a shin tap after the goal. Almost makes one wonder if he said something during the game, or if it was for his bad hit earlier on Monahan or just for his overall douchebaggery? It's worth checking out...kids on the internets say it's savage.

    @HabsInHighHeels
#Habs captain Nick Suzuki on what former equipment manager Pierre Gervais wrote in his book about Marc Bergevin, Dominque Ducharme and Max Pacioretty: "it's his book, his thoughts" - says he personally has a lot of respect for Bergevin, Ducharme and Pacioretty.

Captain Nick is a very mature 23. When I was 23 I was getting drunk at The Rainbow Bar and Grill a far cry from where he is today. I know it's early but he appears to be the leader this young bunch can rally around and follow. I am interested in the almost daily reports of the various teams sniffing around our forward group. It might be early for Hugo to trade away some vets. It's always more advantageous when the the traders are a little more desperate. It would also help if the vets could stop getting injured. I'm wondering what happened to our 5.5 million Druid, which part of his upper body got injured.
      Go Habs

I'm not into the crime/mob stuff, never liked Breaking Bad, never finished Ozark, refused to watch Yellowstone. I'm a sci-fi comic book guy, I am getting caught up on Star Trek Lower Decks, it's better than I expected. Some of the Disney/Marvel stuff has been OK, but DC has shit the bed I bailed on all that stuff.

Actually, the best drama bar none right now is 'The Crown'. Great actors in that series.
