  1. Some chill tunes by a band I don't know. And some sexy pics. Always a good day.

  2. If you are in the 'we must tank' camp, let it go. Feel the vibes. It doesn't matter. It's more important that we beat Philthy to hurt their chances, lose to the Isles if you care what Coach Patty Roy does (but I don't care either way), destroy the fuckturds at all costs, who cares if it means they finish a slot below us. And I wouldn't be sorry if we knocked 20¢ and the Wings out of the playoffs by beating them twice. And we finish 6th or 7th instead of 5th. There is no knowing what the lottery balls will do. Maybe that is the sweet spot this year. So just fucking win.

  3. From @Canadiens : "Defenseman Arber Xhekaj will undergo season-ending surgery to his left shoulder on Wednesday. The 23-year-old is expected to be ready for the 2024-25 season."

No wonder he didn't want to fight the last few games. He's been nursing an unjury.

Meanwhile, Devo will return tonight and Ghoul particiated in practice, wearing a non-contact jersey), so that's positive.

I really hope they take the Phlyers down tonight, to help the Isles. GYFHG

  4. @moeman, thank you for reminding me why Mary-Anne was a boyhood crush.

I love that band, very cool music and great albums.

I too was a Mary-Anne fan, girl next door type.

... and a Bayley Quarters fan, another girl next door.

    Get well Sheriff WiFi.

  6. Florian Xhekaj signed to a 3-year entry level contract and will report to his new team, the Laval Rockets presently. What a find at what, the 5th round? Kudos!

One-eyed Jack out, now two-eyed Jack in?

  7. WiFi is done for the season...wifiboost is in Laval. Just fucking win

  8. Mathisfun!

A few minutes late but in time to see the replay.

  9. Watching the Flyers broadcast for a change of pace. They are surprisingly level with their call and comments. Don't know the pxp guy but Brian Boucher does the color (no u since they're American).
I was expecting something closer to the horrid Jack Edwards but I'm pleasantly surprised.

    1. I'm really the only one who calls him that, eh? I really hated how shitty some fans were to him last year and I had a feeling he was tough and skilled and would get the last laugh.

    2. Lol I get it and it's good. And Slaf is pretty lazy...just hadn't caught on I guess

      Delete
  11. And that's the sound of John Tortorella's coaching career screeching to a halt.

    ReplyDelete
  12. The Flyers broadcast crew are still being fair. Giving Slaf his dues...but they're sounding a little sad as their teams' hopes slip away. Might have to go back to TSN.

But wait, the damn fans start the ike WAY too soon. Expect the miracle comeback soon...

    ReplyDelete
  16. I'll say it. The stars and the moon finally aligned for Josh Anderson.

    ReplyDelete
  17. What the hell? Devo!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Wow, when was the last time the Habs popped 6? Good game for #20, impressive, he has proven me wrong.

  27. Nice W.

Would've been nice to tighten up on D and shut down the foe rather than give up three...but splitting hairs.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Great team win. Only four skaters without a point. GYFHG!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Isles just notched a big gut-check win over the Rags, solidifying their 3rd seed, as the Caps win too, to hang in and drive a further two nails into the fetid coffin that is Torts' time in Philly.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Checked the standings.
CBJ have locked in the 4th spot in the lottery. They can't catch AZ currently in 5th and ANA in 3rd can't catch the Jackets.

I see CGY has sucked so hard , 8th is still an option for the Habs. Unlikely, but possible.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Now boys, go out and celebrate. Hard. And make sure to lose to the Isles Thursday, fighting hard, of course.

Wouldn’t it put an interesting spin on trading deadline 2025 if GI Finn continued to awaken from his slumber and play lights out hockey
That would give Hugo a desirable offensive guy and a desirable defensive guy in Wrong Savard to play with
That and two first round picks in 2024 and 2025 should give us at the very least one stud forward
The D is stocked and with Beck Mesar Roy coming up we are one or two younglings from being set
    Interesting times
    Go Habs

    ReplyDelete
  35. I get it, fans want to see things sped up in this rebuild. IF, and it's a big IF, the Habs are in the hunt next March for a playoff, I can see Hughes hanging on to some of his veteran players for such a run. Hughes will try to add a scorer around the same age as his young vets, Nick, Cole and Kirby. This will be done very methodically. The upcoming draft might dictate the path forward. It will be interesting times for sure.

Never been into the rumours game and I am one who trusts HuGo but it will be interesting if they go after a player wwho becomes UFA (soon). He'd be expensive (and not a centre) but Draisaitl is interesting and FWIW I'd throw some heavy cash $8.7M worth to Sid the Habs Kid. ~ moe

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Draisaitl would be great. A proven scorer being set up by McD all the time. The Habs don't really need another center with Nick, Kirby, Jake and probably Beck soon. Sadly, I think Sid is a company man and will probably finish his career as a Tuxedo bird.

      Delete
    2. Anonymous3:45 PM

Well, Mario isn't part of the Pens company anymore (maybe still owns a % ?) and I think he'd give Sid his blessing to cap off his amazing career in Montreal. ~ moe

    3. We can only hope. Montreal getting Sid would really stick in the sfu craw, although they would probably ridicule it.

Hold on Paddy you telling me those flowers I am getting are from porn hoes? Sorry fake news.
Season is over, like the Who song. We are going to get a player. Nick for slav that I have seen out there and I love is SLAFZILLA. If you are not watching FOR ALL MANKIND on Apple, you should be watching it at a friends house on Kodi. For me its better than my last all time fav Sci Fi The Expanse.
The sci fi is less but the intangibles are better. Its like comparing THE WIRE to THE SOPRANOS.
And we may have a new contender. Wasted years of my life in a Nuclear waste land, but discovered THE POUGES during my time with FALLOUT. I am not going to a friends house to watch this. I am going to spend the dollar for a week trail and watch it at home.
PLease win the lottery Habs and next season is the real deal.

  41. Get Celebrini this year, Leon or Sid the next, with a more mature and experienced group of stud d-men the leafers will be shitting bricks.

  42. Looking more and more like the Arizona Dogs will soon become the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, maybe as soon as next week. I saw a rumour that Gary would keep the Pissers, the Snowslide and the Choir in the same division, giving the Oil and Flames the boot to the Central division. Should be interesting stuff.

  45. Tweed! Or maybe #20 for Slaf?

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  50. That two "third assists" for Slaf tonight.

    ReplyDelete
  51. And the more desperate Isles find a way to tie it again.

    2. I won't begrudge them the fact that it would be awesome to have a guy that can score that many goals on your team.
But if their sole focus right now isn't preparing for the playoffs, which it isn't, well we all know how that's going to end up.

      Delete
  54. I've seen a few missed calls on the Isles. The Isles' broadcast crew has seen a few missed on the Habs. They are homers but not terrible.

Interestingly I get a much clearer picture on the American broadcasts. If I stream TSN it isn't terrible but the video has just a hint of lag, like the puck has a tail. The American picture is crisp.

  61. @Maritimer watching Amen corner where there should be at least 15 golfers to watch hit balls but we're going to watch DeChambeau part the audience and stroll through the woods for 10 minutes. The coverage is aggravating how they still just show their favourites.

  63. Ol' Jack took a good rip at buttman and company, good on him. The gary has always hated Canada and our teams but he loves all the coin they bestow on his kingdom just so all his American southern welfare teams can make a go of it. I have always said the Stanley Cup will never be won by a Canadian team as long as he is the littlest commissioner. And Jack is spot on about those buttman cronies colon and murph who have fucked over the Habs many times and allowed the beaners to win a Cup by crippling several players along the way and never ever suspended the shaved ape for nearly decapitating Patches. Personally, I would love to see the Canadian teams secede from the American league and start a circuit of their own and add a team in Quebec, Halifax and Regina, maybe another one in the GTA. I hate all those California and southern shit teams the Habs are forced to play. Who even cares about teams in Ohio, Tennessee, Nevada, Texas etc., they only care about football anyway.

I am still solid with Rock, but open to Fast Lane. What a monster draft for the Habs. Jacbob Fowler, call him 10 guage, thats what I used to use to shoot ducks. I would not hunt now, but still love guns.

The Habs can afford to beat the Turds tonight, 5th or 6th meh, Cole2.0, Berkley or Iggy Jr. --- any of those guys is fine. But, I still think the Habs win the lotto and piss off The gary, Mack the Knife the newest Hab. As Capt. Picard would say: Make It So!

  72. Finally started watching Ted Lasso. Through season 1. What a great feel good show with some good laughs.

Also started Fallout on Prime. I played the games and the show so far has done it justice. Campy and violent with a great soundtrack of 'old timey music', just like the game. As with anything I've seen him in, Walton Goggins is great.

    1. I'm debating whether to watch Fallout. I never played video games of any kind but I'm a sucker for a good post-apocalyptic show. I'll probably wait until I'm finished Shogun.

I always watch the Masters regardless who is winning, I just like looking at the course. Maybe Nick Taylor will threaten some day. I'll never forget Mike Weir winning, that's like 20 years ago now. Crazy!

      Go Habs!

    2. If you watch Fallout, I'll just note that it isn't like any apocalyptic show or movie you've seen. If that is good or bad...depends on the viewer.

So if we split our two against the dead things and the desert dogs win against the flames and get slapped by the oil we hang on to no 5 because the snores are playing the rags and beaners and that’s tough sledding
So that would mean we might get a shot at half a dov
As CHester has seen ruskies come and go I’m thinking Eiserman or that big muther from Medicine Hat who’s name escapes me now
Because if Hugo picks another D they will get run out of town
That would be if we don’t slide into a macklin
If we manage that Gary will shit his pants
So CHester is leaning towards that big goomer
It’s better to have a good big guy than a good small guy
That would mean we have beck roy mesar and the goomer to go with suzi CC Slavester TJ and dach without any moves by Hugo
And I’m guessing there will be some moves
    Just thinkin
    Go Habs

    ReplyDelete
  91. Whoever Hughes picks this year won't be in the lineup next season. Maybe Mack the Knife. No to the Russkie, he's not even on my radar. Eiserman is committed to BU. Catton, Lindstrom ( the big guy) or Iggy Jr. will all go back to their junior teams, there is no need to rush any of them. I will bet that Hughes has already laid the groundwork for a trade to bring in a sniper.

For what it's worth here is how I see the draft playing out if no team moves up into the top 5.

San Jose = Celebrini (obvious choice)
Chicago = Levshunov (they need a D like they had in Seabrook or Keith) possibly Dickinson
Anaheim = Parekh (they are thin on D) or one of the other two above
    Columbus = Lindstom
Montreal = Eiserman, Catton or Iggy Jr.

    4. I read on one of those questionable fan sites that Hughes stated he will NOT be taking a left handed defenceman which eliminates 3 players right off the bat. With righties Barron von Clumsy, Logan of Laval and Bach already in the pipeline it doesn't compute to take another one with all the talented forwards available. Hughes might even be able to make a deal with one of the teams behind him who want to move up to take one of those high end defencemen. Lots of options for Hughes and company.

  94. So the first four lottery slots are cemented in place. 5,6,7 still up in the air.
I predict that Utah will lose their final game vs the Oil and Habs win 1 vs the 20¢ Wings so will be
    5. Utah
    6. Habs
    7. Turds

I agree with the M's predictions above (except I think Anaheim might take a stab at the Russkie considering Zegras appears to be on the outs) and Utah will take Eiserman.

If the Habs want Iggy Jr, they should be able to trade down to the 10/11 spot to get him. There are many teams searching for D in this draft so I think this could happen.
