Aaron Ward was on with Melnick who I can only take in small doses. Anyway, for one game, the AI would say ID Demigod is operating in a territory only seen by Conner Mcdavid and Nathan Mackinnion. Let that sink in even if you hate math. We are going to ride this Russian Bear to the Stanley cup this year. GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO like you have never GONE FUCKING HABS BEFORE>

  2. I've reminded myself as I've preached in the past, that whether the Habs miss the playoffs, win the cup, or anything in between, the outcome actually has no impact on my day to day life. So I'm just gonna go with the flow and not sweat it.
Of course winning the cup and rubbing it into the faces of my leaf fans friends would be pretty sweet...

  3. I never imagined I'd be watching a PHI-CBS game but here I am.

  4. For my own mental well being I won't be watching tomorrow night's festivities but I will follow along with your commentary on this blog. If they can make the playoffs I can watch because there will be no pressure to win anything.

The French debate was moved to 6:00 so it wouldn’t conflict with the Habs game.

Or as I told my family:
Well the Habs just proved religion more important than politics. They had to change the time of tonight’s political debate due to a religious 🏒 festival at the la Centre Bell tonight….Lehab

  8. Ok Philthy not helping.

The Canes apparently have called up a handful of no names to give their regulars a rest.
That sounds about right, losing to an AHL squad to end the season.

    2. one of you said it on the previous post, it couldnt be written better if those bjs did it for johnny hawkey led by his best friend monohab. such sweet poetic justice to be done in by the whalers, (actually a farm team version of them!) who weve beat up on for soooo many times in their history. fml... its gonna happen, isnt it boys?

  9. Looks like the Flyers are telling the Habs they hace to take matters in their own hands tomorrow. Show time.

  10. while i have this train of thought in my mind...

all they had to do was collect 3 pts from:
    OTW-TML-CHI-CAR

combined with them needing to collect all 12 from:
    OTW-BUF-WSH-WSH-PHI-NYI?!?!?

boys... if they somehow manage to rewrite history as the biggest choke artists ever, im not sure i can continue being amongst u guys. its taken this year to fully bring me back from watching TFS absolutely crap the bed, along with cpt bbq finally rusting out losing 4-1 to that really annoying stupid mayor.

the only saving grace i have is to offer my rookie card of you St.P in sacrifice if you can summon your troops to rise to the occasion. if at all possible, i would profess my devotion to the holy saviour annoit a. duclair as our last hope for this "meaningful games in april" sad excuse of a playoff contender.

In Saint Patrick we must trust
If those boys can’t get up for this game tomorrow there’s no hope for the future
When it’s do or die we do
    Anyway
    Go Habs

  12. Just dawned on me what this post's title is. Cheeky!

I feel like the moment is there to be grabbed and the vets in the line-up from the 2021 run will not let it fall from their grasp.

    Lep
    Nature
    GI Finn
    7vens
    Powerhorse
    Whiskey

    They will lead the way

I hope Ax is in but seems doubtful.

  13. The Habs are down a goal. Under a minute to play.
Suzuki, Caufield, Laine, Demidov and Hutson are on the ice. That's a lot of talent.

99 times out of 100 I would throw Brendan Gallagher over the boards as the extra attacker and bet on him to be the guy to save the season.
I had him at 100 at first, but the big body of Josh Anderson and his comeback season merits a try.

    1. Five forwards? I'd add Guhle myself. Or take Laine out for Guhle and Lep.

    2. Four forwards and Fast lane.

      Delete
    3. Lep being the 5th. I suppose one could consider that dangerous. But with nothing to lose...except the game and season...I stand by it. But if you need a 2nd D, yes to your suggestion. Sadly it would probably be Matheson instead.

Their is no historical precedento or overiding authourity that can tell us what will happen on the ice tonite. I believe in the Ghost of the Fourm. Can they penatrate a greasy fucking corporate pillbox, I dont know. What I know is that win or lose I will not make a single criticatl note when evaluating the 2024-2025 Habs. After decades of nothing to hold on to when the ship is sinking, we got liferafts full of people that think they can not only prevent the ship from sinking, they can win the race. Go Yo u Fucking Habs Go.

  15. what kind of s### reffing is that?!?

7evans just won a draw clean, but the canes guys werent ready for it. they all stood up waiting for it to be redone and they simply allowed play to continue!

it went our way, but WTF?!? in the spirit of fair play, how can u allow that?!?

  19. aside from this just finished pp, no urgency whatsoever. the entire team stinks of that "we got this" attitude, but they gonna get sh#### if they dont start "doing the things which need to be done".

if i had my choice, i woulda preferred them to lose tn so they can go thru the longest 24hr period ever, do some serious self-reflection, experience guilt over losing to a minor league team, lament regret, then grow as a team cheering along st. patricks to answer their hail mary.

He was getting on and the playoffs are stressful
We are in a great place now
Almost like a reset back to the beginning when Marty stepped in and there was no pressure, just learn and get better
First time for most and we are not expected to win
So just go out there and have at it

  49. Just want to say, I've been hard on Slaf (not as hard as the M, mind you), but he had a great game last night despite choosing not to end Hall and taking a penalty instead. He had a role in the first three goals and he seems to be becoming more aware. Maybe it's like Brian Wilde said, there is a new kid in town that has made him take notice and if he wants to keep his spot he damn well better start earning it.

Anyway, it's all gravy from here on in.

The big question now in my bracket challenge, do I pick with my heart or with my head.

He's not the shiny new thing anymore, wonder how that messes with his head.
Suzies goal was only there cause of him.
Imagine if he turns into the power forward Hugo envisioned.
      That would be epic.
I remember that Larry said that nobody took him seriously till he developed an edge to his game.
I think the same with Slav, he's a gentle soul, nice guy ... but that's not hockey.
Be nice and help somebody up after you crush them, but crush them.
