Its going to be a drunken elephant walk to the playoff where Washington will be Trumping us and the Avs will bring down an avalache on any team. Enjoy the chaos. I learned this from the Get Smart exit videos.

  2. Crazy schedule. 5 in 7 and 9 in the next 2 weeks before the xmas break. With 5 points between first and seventh in the Atlantic, this could be the stretch of games that decides whether or not they have what it takes to be serious playoff contenders (not necessarily cup contenders but more than 'in the mix').

    GYMFHG!

    1. ...or they could end up near the cellar. I prefer option 1.

  3. Just read the story on LJ Mooney. OK, now that I know he owns it and LJ stands for Little John, and he is cousins with Logan Cooley and they played hockey on his back yard rink, I have more faith that in 2-3 years he can be a part of the cup winning team for the Habs. GYL(ittle)MFG!

    1. Maybe HuGo can trade LJ to Utah to play with his cousin.
Utah probably has a spare 6-3 power forward laying around they don't need.

  4. There are no easy games in this league.
Montreal better be ready or the Dolts will take their lunch money tonight.
I hope there are extra smelling salts on the Habs bench for the start of the dreaded 2nd period. Can't afford to be in a coma like Sunday night.
It's trivia night so I won't be around for the start.
    Have fun and Go Habs!

  5. Sounds like MontembOhNo! will start tonight.
Dolts score on their first shot, high glove side.
    Book it.

I know its blasmemy and probably risk of excommunication to point out we are not winning the cup this year. This year draft has 3 franchise players, our number two c already packed and ready to go. Just saying

    1. Steady progression this season is fine. Missing tbe playoffs altogether would be the only disappointment.

  10. Well at least they'll start the 2nd period on the PP

  11. If you're gonna go down 3, it's best to do it early so you have time to fight back. That's a helluva strategy.

    When is Guhle back?

  16. At this rate they will be a lottery team before Christmas.
It was entirely possible they would take a step back this season.
Youngest team in the league ... they need(ed) some veteran help but loos like HuGo isn't willing to pay the price.

    1. Desperate times. Send Sam down for 'conditioning'.
Beck and Egg called up too. The Rocket might be hurting for their game vs the baby leaf tonight.

I can't remember where we landed when we discussed it before.

Stats ( if you believe them ) showed The Glorious Habs didn't look as bad as the score showed.
Full Monty was as much a reclamation project as Wool and next up would be Tercel.
Hugo must be biding his time keeping his powder dry with the wagons in a circle as the expectations grow. We are still in a full rebuild with ongoing projects in nets at forward and on defence. It's just that we can see the future, barring the injury bus, and the future isn't quite here yet. But we're ready. Really ready.
We need a real goalie and No 2C and some people that don't get injured for months. That and the one stat from the tampon game was the vanishing of our vet line of Sevens Gally and The Horse. If these guys are to be useful they need to step up and lead the kids. Cause the kids are gonna be just fine .... soon... ish.
    Go Habs

  19. When I got home last night I put on the TV to check the score ... 4-0 Tampa, nothing to see here, turned it off immediately.

I have mixed feelings about bringing up Fowler. On the one hand, I guess it can't hurt to give him a shot, maybe he will stone a few teams and turn things around or, he gets lit up and management knows he's not ready.
Engstrom probably is better than Strobe who should be on the 3rd pair (occasionally) with RoCH.
Why is Beck being called up? To replace the fading Lep? Can't see them doing that, probably JD going back down.
Anyway, every team goes through this shite, got to tough it out. Lots of games to be played in the next couple weeks, sink or swim. Their choice.
