Ha Ha ! As soon as I saw Ryker I knew this was a Saint Paddy thread. I don't know about the ground effects on that Mustang ... you could plow snow with that front spoiler. It wouldn't last very long on Saint John's streets.
Is the mythical 2C going to magically appear today? How about the 2RD? One thing we know for sure, HuGo won't force anything.
Heading out to the links again this morning, I'm aiming for the 70s today : )
It makes no sense for us to go all in on a imperfect 2C now. We have two of the best prospects in the world that might fill that roll. Also Kapeyynen is not spilt milk. Down on the farm are still some bad weeds that might flower. The whaler canes proved you dont need to be the best player, just the best team. I say roll it back, the window is wide open until Nature is 40
I am also sad and happy you dont have to be a history major anymore to understand that Game of Thrones is not fiction. Hammas, Hezzbalo ISSIS are all proxy warriors working for us?? The good guys are the bad guys and the bad guys are the same. Like Janes Addiction said over 30 years ago. The gangs and the goverment aint no diffeance. It seems we citizens are powerless to do anything about it. In the AI era it will ge worse, AI will be telling you this guy is great and his ecomoic plan will make you a billonare
Randbo was sad about the cop shot, its a fair song. Scott in Montreal who is a terrifc musian. I am sad for the people of Venzula today. I was 3 times in that land. It was paradise then. Of course the 5 waiters hovering over me as I ate the best steak and drank the best wine may not have thought the same. But in 1992 it cost $10 us. I went to the same place every night for seven days. We where like family. The feeling was true dispite the economics and I tipped the same as the meal. A polar beer cost 5 cents. Talk about paridise lost. The resort I went to was wiped off the face of the earth by a landslide int 1999.
Dont care which side your one. Cuban missle crisis is on the horizon. Mutally assured Destruction used to be a diffuser. Now the people in charge have hardened places in New Zealand with robot servants.
Kirill Marchenko? I like it, he or Demi could play their off wing with Kappy at C. The Russkies can drive play while Kappy is the defensive conscience. Or, put March up with Nick and CC and let Slaf take over line two. Kyper thinks HuGo would have to give up a young D + whatever to make it happen. I would be OK with a move like that.
I got no problem with Kappy as the no 2C No problem him and Demi had some chemistry We have to bolster our bottom 6 and add a top 6 big winger I think we have to give Mr Beck a long look and also little Ax We have to bring up Rino We have to use our prospects At least find out what we got I don't think Hugo will be pulling any trigger any time soon Prices are stupid GGH
That kind of imbalance ruins team chemistry. I recall hearing about the Roy-Turgeon dynamic, where those two made craploads more than everyone else and poisoned the atmosphere with their millionaire ways. Maybe now it's not so much now.
Just read a pile of stuff on him He looks like a combo of Tom Wilson meets The Powerhorse They speak highly of his ability to demolish grown ruskies and at 18 and 6'3" and 200 or so he could get bigger and stronger Non stop motor crushing forecheck and immovable net presence So ya sounds like Hugo are working the bottom 6 which quite frankly requires some work Noice GGH
So not a single goalie picked in Round 1...and the Habs get another Russian superstar to play on the 5th line. All they need now is that 2 C and the Cup is all but locked on...
Looks like no player wants to stay in Columbus Ohio. bet99man might as well start greasing the skids and move that franchise to Quebec City. Maybe HuGo can offersheet Fantilli Lace,
After they give the Habs Kirill, then move the franchise to QC. La Veste Bleu Or Le Jacquet Blue (I'm thinking of a place in NB called Jacquet River...not sure how that translates 🙂)
MoneyHab ended up stuck there, he signed there to be with his buddy from Calgary, Johnny H. and then the tragedy struck. I would love it if HuGo brought MoneyHab back as the #2C until Hage is ready. I wouldn't think the cost would be too high.
I checked out Columbus on Puck Pedia, they are an older team, mostly in their 30s. They are not far from a rebuild I would guess. No wonder Marchenko and Werenski don't want to re-up there. Also, Fantilli is an RFA, ripe for an offer sheet, only 21 years old.
I'm watching ladies golf since Brooke is in the running. I've just realized the best thing about it is no discussion about gambling, or gambling ads. I realized this when they mentioned the leader had a 0.2% chance of winning after round 1 but currently a 44% chance, but they did not equate it to gambling.
BTW, Jacquet River is up in Belledune on the north shore of N.B. I recall hearing an RCMP officer I knew, that was one of the few places he would not accept a transfer to ... it was too tough an area to be in.
No I am not quoting Monty Python. Todays conference on extreme heat has been cancelled due to extreme heat. This draft was tailored to beat the whaler canes and any heavy team that dares to got on our ice.
It's sad to see KidG pushed out of the organization. But, if you want to win, you have to get bigger and faster. They should bring this new Kazhakstan kid over next spring and turn him loose in the playoffs. The opposing D men will have to have their heads on a swivel. KaBoom!
Bob Gainey did Saku wrong by letting him walk away. Hopefully, the same thing doesn't happen to KidG ... I hope Vancouver will do some kind of swap to make it legitimate.
Would Tarasenko be a stop gap measure for Line 1 or 2? 34 years old, seems to still have gas in the tank. The question would be how much for how many years. He recently changed agents, now represented by Dan Milstein, the agent for Demi and Pug.
I've always liked the play of Anthony Mantha. He's a Quebec guy with impressive lineage. Though I doubt even the most senior of our FHFers remember watching his grampa Andre Pronovost playing for the Habs. He had a career year last year, playing with Sid. and bye to Joshwawa. We got a Max Szuber (like McGruber?) in return. Gotta replace some of that D in Laval that will either be promoted or traded.
Heh I see Druid has been bought out by the Blues. We should grab him! I kid, I kid...
As much as we all hated that trade, if it never happened, there is no guarantee we would have the young core we now have. Butterfly effect and all that.
Best of luck to him in Russia or wherever he ends up.
Interesting, but I don't think much would have changed really. Keeping Sergachev would have meant still trying to find a #1C which bergy wouldn't have been able to do, PFK and MaxPac would have still been traded and the timeline would still be intact.
I wonder who will eventually wear #11 for the Habs. The mexican't had it briefly but before he bullied it, two of my modern favourites wore it with distinction ... Saku and over course, Captain Kirk...
Wonder if the Habs hold on to some numbers make them unavailable until the right kid comes along Took a long time to retire the birds number but in between nobody wore 19 ( I don't think anyway) Glad to see joshie wawa head down the road No room for him sadly Also glad to see Hugo keeping his powder dry Patience GGH

Jeebus, tsn just can't stop showing that photo of their new toy and bieBeR at the draft.
As I mentioned before, I'm OK with Monty sticking around for another season as the backup. Birdman needs to see lots of rubber in Laval.
It's amusing ... the Armpit's media can't wrap their empty heads around the fact that some players want to win (Habs) and some just want lots of money (leaf). Since the days of the Core Fore(!) they've learned nothing.

Jason Robertson turned down, I repeat, turned DOWN $15,000,000 per year for 8 YEARS to play for the Seattle Squids.
ReplyDeleteIs that insane or what?
That is insane, and it portend well for his chances at winning a Cup, frankly. Hope he knows that.

ReplyDelete34 years old, seems to still have gas in the tank.
The question would be how much for how many years.
He recently changed agents, now represented by Dan Milstein, the agent for Demi and Pug.
TSN finally took down the headline picture of McKenna and BiEbEr ... they milked that for all it was worth.
ReplyDeleteGotta keep those clicks going...
I've always liked the play of Anthony Mantha.
ReplyDeleteHe's a Quebec guy with impressive lineage. Though I doubt even the most senior of our FHFers remember watching his grampa Andre Pronovost playing for the Habs.
