I saw him on RDS last night and he assured that he had no contact from anyone and the last time he spoke with Geoff was when they retired his jersey couple years ago.

    1. "But the biggest mistake Gauthier made was firing Martin, who got the most out of a small, injury-decimated team in two playoff appearances. He deserves another kick at the can."

I say he deserves a kick IN the can.

Either way gonna be some great hockey! Mackinnon vs Huberdeau. Sadly 2 great prospects that won't don the CH (to begin their careers at least). Then again, maybe we tank next season too.

Let's see, at the Rangers tonight and they are trying to nail down first overall. Nope. Tomorrow at Washington against a team desperately trying to go to the dance, second of a back to back. Not likely. At home next Wednesday against Tampa, will Guy Boucher be auditioning for a new job perhaps? Flip a coin. Down to Carolina to face Kirk Muller's red hot 'Canes. Has Eric Cole got enough in the tank to pull out a victory over his former team? Hmmm, Kirk probably wants it more, so OT loss. Lastly at home against the decrepit, whipped, no heart Doughnut Sleepyhead Boy and Celine Pylon's cbc favourites, the laughable dropping like a fucking rock leaf. Should have enough of a cushion to kick the shit out of them and keep the 3rd overall pick. Fuck you Burkie.

On Hockey Central at Noon today, Mallard asked Kypreos if you could choose between the leaf or Habs lineup which would you pick. Kipper said Montreal, 'cause they got the better players overall - Price, Subban and Plekanec were the ones he mentioned as the core.

If they get Yaku or Grigo, start the rebuild. GSteve would be a bonus.

  20. People - work with me here a second on the new GM thing...Vinnie Damphouse? Does that fly with any of you?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. No, just because he beats his(alledigy) wife, does not mean the players get the same. To me and I will take this with what it deserves, he was our Tie Domi. Now that man (allegeddy) could barely skate. Vinnie was a player, but not big time in my book.

  21. Cole, a real keeper.

Erik Cole, who signed a four-year, $18 million contract with the Canadiens in July, said the players are the ones who should feel responsible for the firings and trades of this season.

"It just goes to show how poorly we've underperformed this year as a group," Cole said. "Maybe in some other organizations a season like this can be written off or tolerated, but I feel that with the winning tradition and culture here, it's just unacceptable. It's on us as players. We've cost several persons their positions in this organization this year, I think that's something we should all be ashamed of and be looking into the mirror. It's up to us get better and be better as a group."

Cole said he doesn't expect Gauthier's dismissal to fire up the team, but it should serve as a warning for anyone who wants to be on the roster next season.

  23. I have to admit I am very disappointed that my name has not been mentioned as the new GM. Astral plane metrics combined with my unique algorithms would Reid something spectacular. Thats an acid based team. How this works.
First the game is very fast, that is the key for a pro, working at speeds measured in milliseconds. On Acid those moments last minutes. For a player like patches it would be like scoring on a pee wee team.
Secondly all the refuse we have would become ALL stars.
Third for TFS, he would never be scored on again.
Anyone who cast dispersion upon what I say has never looked through a window pane.

    3. Its almost impossible to test someone for Acid. I beat the test repeatedly. Although my ability to project my thoughts into the testing apparatus may be something to take into consideration, It really hard to train somebody for that.

PFK and TFS. The rest are big screen TV you paid a fortune for and now you want to watch TV on your Ipad. So what to do. Well ask Dale Talon. To me he is a GOD of THunder. He did not get lucky, he is on acid.
