Can we just have the WJ team oplay in their stead?

Juce, from last night - I recognized Huberdeau as someone special his first year with the Sea Dogs but those guys are noticable right away. Even when I was only listening to the games on radio his name was said often and usually involved something good happening on the ice. Every time he was in a shootout he scored. Every time. Last year was icing on the cake. If Edmonton had taken him first over all, they wouldn't have been wrong. He'll be at least as good as Jonathan Toews who also went 3rd over all in his draft year. Funny, when Huberdeau was in his second year of Junior I hoped that he would fall under the radar of the majority of NHL scouts who ignore the Q and would fall into the Habs lap. As time went on and his stock rose I knew he would rise out of their reach, unless a sharp GM would recognize the potential in a budding francophone superstar.
ReplyDeleteWatching him play last night, coming back from a broken foot and not playing since October, you can see he has great vision (setting up Stone's first two goals), good shot (scoring himself) and is good in traffic. Makes me sick to think here's another player who would make a great Hab wasting away in Florida.
Oh well, when I start spending my winters down there in a couple of years I'll be able to watch Mr. Huberdeau plying his trade for the Panthers for the next 10 years or so.
Sorry for the long rant, I'm not feeling to good about Montreal lately. This constant trying to throw crap against a wall and see if will stick method of building a hockey team that can win his wearing on me. I could care less now if they finished dead last in the league. They have tarnished their image with Gauthier's ineptness in dismissing Martin and throwing Randy Cunnyworth to the french wolves. And shame on Geoff Molson for not telling them all to fuck right off.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I'll watch the game or not tonight. Probably not. It's disgusting to see them fall so far from their previous status as a league powerhouse and a model of consistency. It's like not going to funeral parlour to see a deceased friend. I want my memories to be of them when they were alive and well.
@the M, It's too bad we couldn't have grabbed him, someone sure missed that boat. I also thought he played a damn good game yesterday.
ReplyDeleteOn the positive side, tickets to the games will be cheaper, enjoy.
@Juce, I know. I went last spring. Front row seats are damn cheap. Can't wait.
ReplyDeleteFuck it all, just win a fucking game already and make Denis Potvin squirm in his condescending colour commentary. What a tool.
ReplyDeleteGYFH!!!!!!!!!!
Moeman,
ReplyDeleteLove the pic.
I have similar one from that game. TFS is to the left of fatty and his right fist is raised and aimed at Thomas's head. I choose this one because it was clear that it was Thomas.
The best part and very dear to my heart: autographed by TFS!
Nice juce!
ReplyDeleteWondering since the All-Star Concussion Team is growing (Shea Weber, Simon Gagne, J-M Liles just added) if anyone will hold Bettman accountable for basically lying to Congress about the concussion problem not being a problem at all...
ReplyDeleteThen again, he used vague lawyer-y terms to cover his ass about it all, I guess.
Fucking lawyers!
ReplyDeleteShea Weber concussed? Can they trade for him?
ReplyDeleteHe was part 2 of my turn around plan.
I forget which Don Henley song had the lyrics:
ReplyDeleteOl' Billy was right
Let's kill all the lawyers
Let's kill'em tonight
moe?
the M.
ReplyDeleteGet Over It.
Thanks, moe. Probably have that on vinyl.
ReplyDeleteHave I ever mentioned that I think Greg Wyshynski and his Pfuck Daddy garbage hockey blog is pure fucking garbage? No? I may have restrained myself whilst at the original FHFers (who gave him and his cesspool of Habs hate some bits & bytes) but I ain't holding back when I say he and his lame ilk are nothing but leaf loving, xenophobic jerks that truly represent the people they attract, namely tainted Bs fans and desperate for some kind of attention leaf losers.
ReplyDeleteLove the CHerry on the ice cream.
ReplyDeleteScrew leafs and broons.
ReplyDeleteMerci Moey. I am GG-less so I do my best with my limited GG skillz.
ReplyDeletec'mon and GO HABS GO!
ReplyDeleteGO COACH! and throw it in the mediots' faces!
juce, and cbc and mcsplooge! Stay away from our Habs pee-air!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely.
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of CHerry, this is the best CoaCH's Corner evah!

Sorry, can't remember how to html. I miss the tutorial at the top of the (other) FHF comments section.
dwgs, the html how-to is (permanently) in the right column sidebar.
ReplyDeleteFFS WIN A FUCKING GAME FFS FUCK FUCK
ReplyDeleteok im calming down now, i gotta go out soon and deal with people
re Puck Daddy moe, no one ever really noticed my dig at him in the final FHF post:
"Puck Daddy will be around long after the nuclear war that kills the rest of us"
so I'm calling him a cockroach. though he was always good to us, true.
Tony Marinaro was like the cat who swallowed the canary today replaying the Bowman interview with Melnick last week. Marinaro has always thought that McGuire should be the next GM for the Habs. Scotty wasn't saying that, but he was praising McGuire's knowledge and work ethic. Goes to show that even Scotty isn't infallible. I would love someday for McGuire to dip his toes in the GM pool (not the Habs)and force him to walk his talk.
ReplyDeleteWell there you go makin' me look all stoopid and pig ignorant.
ReplyDeleteMerci 29. Have fun. Play safe!
ReplyDeleteNot so dwgs. I never made it obvious. No biggie.
ReplyDeleteWell, I've been sick in bed all day could definitely use a little entertainment. By entertainment, I mean please for the love of CHarlie Brown, score a goal or two! Maybe even one on the PP!
ReplyDeleteGYFHG!!!
GO HABS GO!
ReplyDeleteGO COACH!
So What Did I Miss then? Hey 4HFers! Hope you had a Merry Christmas. Just back from the in-laws and I need a good drink and a Habs win!
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go!!! Go Habs Go!!!!
Noooooooo! Not the start I had in mind....
ReplyDeleteWow.
ReplyDeleteGet well iRiRi!
ReplyDeleteAh fuck! Didn't miss much obviously!
ReplyDeleteIf we don't win tonight I don't fancy our chances from here on in.
ReplyDeleteFuck off ref.
ReplyDeleteLego!!!!
ReplyDeleteSHORTY FOR US!!!!
ReplyDeleteLEGO!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, moe!
Is that "better sit out a game boy!" enough for you?!! Nice one Lego!
ReplyDeleteNow for PFK! to bag one.
ReplyDelete75% crowd are Habs fans.
Fell better iRiRi.
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong iRiRi?
ReplyDeleteNOT THE HANDS, PATCHES!
ReplyDeleteThanks, juce!
ReplyDelete@Kmaxx - I've got the flu.
Only good part about spending the past two days in bed is all the Breaking Bad episodes I've watched...
iRiRi, on NetFlix?
ReplyDeletePleXXXE!
ReplyDelete2 goals on 3 SOGs!
ReplyDeletePleXXXe!!!
ReplyDelete@moe - Nope. Picked up the DVDs for $15/season at Wal-Mart last week. Although, I just remembered that I pay for Netlix each month and haven't used it since my Prison Break obsession in October. What a fail.
ReplyDeleteGet well iRiRi - hopefully a win will pick things up for you.
ReplyDeleteNice one Plexxe -'bout time we got some bounces!
In general NetFlix sucks but having Breaking Bad seasons is worth the $8.
ReplyDeleteSquid!!!!!!!! from Loulita!
ReplyDeleteSeriously??? Woot!!!
ReplyDeleteSQUID!!! WHY, IT'S LIKE I FEEL BETTER ALREADY!
ReplyDeleteTks, Kmaxx!
Note to self, don't get too excited. They can break your heart in the next 10 minutes.
ReplyDeleteOMG - Moeman - There really is a Santa Claus! - How else do you describe Cammi actually hitting the net on a shot like that!! It's a miracle!
ReplyDeleteI'm lovin' it!
ReplyDeleteGO HABS GO!
GO COACH!
@Moey - if it is going to happen - it will begin with a too many men call...
ReplyDeleteBe positive 4HFers. No cris lee to fuck us over!
ReplyDelete3 goals on 5 shots for Habs.
ReplyDeletePrice had to deal with more trouble than Anderson, though.
Happy Chanukah, Cammy.
Moeman - I am positive! I mean what's not to be positive about? Plexxe, Squid - both with goals and they are actually playing like a team that wants to win. All good!!
ReplyDeleteYes, positism, optimism. winism!
ReplyDeleteBB still stumping for Chocula - what a fuck!
ReplyDeletebb is an asshole. Not as big a fuck up as puck daddy but still a major empty-headed asshole.
ReplyDeleteA sign of positive change- look at the positioning in front of the net. More like Carbo's- catch the bounce, make the goalie move and the end of Chocula's screen the goalie and/or block the shot.
ReplyDeleteheh, rds have become leaf suckers.
ReplyDeleteGo Panthers (but suck on Saturday).
ReplyDeleteExcellent observation eclaireur. I noticed it too and I am sure our own N31, aka goalie gal, did too.
ReplyDeleteBB likes Wilson and thinks he deserves the new contract. Typical leaf - always celebrating before they have won anything.
ReplyDelete"Kmaxx, may the leaf crash and burn.
ReplyDeleteThere's been a lot of lobbying for Carbo to come back as coach. I don't get it, Carbo was great with a healthy lineup but with adversity/injuries he lost his way. No thanks.
ReplyDelete4-1 !!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLOUIS! LOUIS! LOUIS!
ReplyDeleteSquid > sausage >Loulita!!
ReplyDeleteLebrow!
ReplyDelete@juce - they will - give them a couple more weeks...
ReplyDeleteLLB!!!
He's big, he's bauld - He's Back!! It's Alex Auld
PFK! 4Hfuckers!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletePFK!!! WINGS!!!
ReplyDeletePFK!!! P Fuckin K!!!
ReplyDeleteI think it's gonna have to be 10-1 before I can relax a little.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteWouldn`t it be great if, for one night only, they awarded 2 points per goal!
KEEP GHG
ReplyDeleteGO COACH!
Ack. Moey! Stop that!
ReplyDeleteUh oh, Cole gone to dressing room.
ReplyDeleteMoey, no.
ReplyDeleteRÇ is letting them play to their skill.
ReplyDeleteOh neil, you domi wannabe.
ReplyDeletePer RDS, Sens are very adept at making a comeback in the 3rd.
ReplyDeletejuce,
ReplyDeleteNow I need a drink.
Per RDS, there's an AC episode following the game. I haven't tuned in for almost two years . Sick fucks.
ReplyDeleteGYMFHG!
ReplyDeleteGO COACH!
Moey, cheers!
ReplyDeleteTFS™¡
ReplyDeleteamaretto on ice is nice!
ReplyDeletemoe,
ReplyDeleteYou know me well, but it's amaretto straight up for me. I just poured one.
Normally straight up but need to chill my sore throat. Haven't CHeered 5 goals in a while. GYFHG!
ReplyDeleteWhat? No System™?
ReplyDeleteaaahhhmaretto, you feel so good.
ReplyDeleteMoey knows.
ReplyDeleteSweet almond goodness.
Go Team RÇ!
Squid seems way more animated. Liking it!
ReplyDeleteMoeman - Don't use the "S" word...it's not needed!
ReplyDeleteColé!
ReplyDeleteCole!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats RÇ!!!
ReplyDeleteNow THAT was entertaining! Congrats, RC! Hopefully more of the same in the new year.
ReplyDeleteP.S. Blog looks great from my new MacBook!
Nice one! Nice win!
ReplyDeleteHappy first win, Cunney!
ReplyDeleteiRiRi - you feeling any better?
ReplyDeleteLet`s see if tomorrow`s headline in le Journal refers to Cunneyworth in English now.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Coach!
Diazling had 3 assists for N31.
ReplyDeleteRC told RDS after being asked in English if he was happy and he said `je suis tres content`
ReplyDeleteA for effort, RC.
ReplyDeleteRÇ!!!
ReplyDeleteYou have to think that Cunneyworth was interviewed before they put him there. He must have been asked (on the QT of course) his opinion on JM and what he thought was wrong.
ReplyDeleteGive the boys some room to play.
ReplyDeleteOh, and of course how HE would fix it.
ReplyDeletejuce,
ReplyDeleteLove it! Now there's 2 CP's on the team. Carey Price and a Cunning Plan.
Ok - That's me done! iRiRi - get well soon! Moeman - thanks as always for the effort on the blog. Moey - Amaretto is perfect with or without ice so enjoy - Is Steve in rehab over the holidays? Missed him tonight. Juce - keep on keeping on! Catch you all soon - gotta get some sleep. My buddy from leaf land has cpme over to visit and I'm pretty sure they lost last night - so I can have some fun with him while being a tourist for the day in London tomorrow! Salut!
ReplyDelete@Kmaxx - lil' bit. Two more Ws this week and I'll be cured!
ReplyDeleteAll around feel-good win!
Diazling indeed.
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the 4HFun posts! Be good.
ReplyDeleteMoey, Like the Cunning.
ReplyDeleteKmaxx, leaf lost 5-3 to Panthers, milk it and have fun with it.
iRiRi, Get well, enjoy the new toy.
moeman, Always the gracious host.
Good night to all you 4HFers.
PS, RDS says RC a fait un excellent travail.
Juce,
ReplyDeleteI'm thinking CP31 and CP30.
