thats better the 200 post barrier was tough to penetrate you had to read the fine print to go on, Okay where is Squid gone, and he will always have a place on the shelf of great playoff heroes in Montreal, ended bad but the last Jedi in Montreal.
Oh. Rene Bourque is a bit of a douche and seems to only score ON the Habs. But who knows...hopefully he's more of a team guy. Just, you know, don't get suspended. Again.
Does this make up for the lose of cap space with the Spacek deal? No, but there have to more than a 1-1 trade here. The vortex of suck swirls on. @Mr. Gillis, we got raped
is there even a shred of respect left for this team? They have truly become a laughing stock. How can the goat be allowed to make a deal like this? He shouldn't be able to pick the movie on a team charter.
Look at the standings, Columus is 12 points behind us, we are not getting number one, Calgary second round pick is a high one I grant you that, but we could have got more, much much more.
its not even who they got that makes this a bad trade. Its just another situation embarassingly handled...cammy has been shit this year...no doubt...but once again the handljng of the situation makes the Habs look much worse in the end. I will be shocked if another star signs in Montreal ever again. The Image of this franchise has never been worse, even more so then when they traded roy when you combjne all of the crap from this season.
What player will ever sign in Montreal during the off-season knowing that if they say one wrong thing to the media and they'd get traded during the next game?
Posted by Flames Jan 12th @10:48pm, "We started working on it again last night and into today and ultimately we got it done late this afternoon and then had the conference call tonight."
Gauthier: Trade's been in the works for a month. And it's totally a coincidence that Cammy shot himself in the foot yesterday. (Feaster confimed it)
Like I said, he really wasn't doing himself any favours.
As for people bitching about him not being shopped: DO WE REALLY KNOW THIS? Considering his salary, Habs win in this deal and DON'T lose a good prospect to "sweeten" the deal that would appease some other GM who would gleefully love to screw the team. Also, if possible, trade out of conference is better. Not to mention his veto clause. Columbus' GM could for instance say all he wants how much he would have loved to trade for Cammy, but odds are Cammy has Columbus nixed.
Pretty sure he knew he was being traded with how he was acting...
@matt-wtc, good points, but I believe if you throw enough money at these guys they'll go anywhere. Personally, I hope they never sign another high priced UFA again. I want a top 3 pick that will become a star.
BTW, good call on the score moeman, and I said the Habs would give them all they could handle and they did, short staffed no less.
Louis Jean on Sportsnet says this is just the beginning. More unhappy people will be leaving town soon. We can only pray that Nomez is on top of the list.
I have to see him play first. So far he hasn't really done anything to earn a rant. At least give an injured guy a chance to put his foot in his mouth...
Seriously? PhuckDaddy actually has that hit by PK as a probably Shanaban?! How about the Bruins with basically 3 guys jumping him from out of nowhere?! Boofuckinghoo.
Sadly if the B's have the ear of the league powers that B - and after looking at the replay, there might be a case - not much mind you, but when it comes to the fuckin' broons and what is acceptable and what is not, I couldn't say one way or the other!. Having said all of that - there was no injury on the play as the player he hit got right back up and the other goon bastard broons all jumped in so let's call this a wash and move on.
So I slept a little on it. Still happy about the trade...
And a little sad to see Squid go. He did give us some good hockey (before this season) and some exceptional playoffs in 2010...
That is all, about Squid.
Can't wait to see that big boy in a Habs uniform. I have no expectations as I have given up on playoffs hopes for the Habs...but you never know! (how to contradict yourself in one sentence, eh!)...
Yes everyone, we know Bourque sometimes plays like Benoit Pouliot with less falling, but really...I didn't see much motivation out of Cammy this year, ever, either, and Kelly Hahahrudey never went on a National rant about him...
It's fortunate for Gomer that he was on injury else he probably would have been traded. Though Squid wasn't performing at par, I would have preferred Gomer be traded.
Its a universal wish and I think the Goat missed the boat by not bundleing him with Squid, but I have been told that is stupid, no one would take Gomez under any condition.
Gomez deserves one last chance, a ten game showcase, power play ,PK, top wingers. Then either he saves his career, or maybe some idiot will take him, or he goes to Hamilton.
My love for the game is greater than my knowledge of some of the logistics behind it. Why would the Goat want another goalie? Does it mean that Budda or TFS is in jeopardy? Or does he want to acquire a goalie for Hamilton? Or is this all the Flames were willing to barter?
Steve, When Gorges was signed TFS was asked if he wanted to be signed and he said yes. I'm sure if they offered $ he wants, he would sign. http://video.canadiens.nhl.com/videocenter/console?catid=1119
received the following email at the old FHF email address, seems very à propos for a 4HF sexy friday:
Hi
I'd like to offer you a review copy of bestselling author and sex educator Dr. Sadie Allison's newly released fifth book, "Tickle My Tush," for you to review on Four Habs Fans. Dr. Sadie has written a smart new paperback that helps women and men learn the true pleasures of the under-explored seat of love. I've compiled everything about the book into a microsite for you to check out here:

Please let me know if you'd like a review copy or would like to interview Dr. Sadie. If you post or tweet, please pop me the link as I would love to share it with her. If you have any questions, I am here to help.
Breaking News, its not the end of the world, no playoff, but... Winter is coming ... this April. HBO has announced Season 2 of "Game of Thrones" will kick off on Sun., April 1 at 9 p.m. EST. Season 2 will consist of 10 episodes.
Hopefully, TFS has not had 2nd thoughts, he really was none too pleased after mouvement protested not enough french players etc... Jan 7th. when he commented "I am sorry I am not a francophone, I'm just here to do my job." Fingers crossed.
Loved him anyway, but even more so when I discovered he was a huge Hab's fan. Wonder what he thinks about all the drama & antics surrounding our beloveds this year?
Looks like Pfuck daddy is losing his Pfucking shit trying to continuously shit on anything he can shit on the Habs. How any true Habs fans can take their Pfucking shit is beyond me. Calling out that scumbag broon/leaf apologist.cocksucker is Pfun and makes me Pfeel good, "It's richly deserved". Pfuck you you Pfieces of Pfucking shit.
Moeman, let me wade in on the puckdaddy shit going on...firstly he's not a Habs fan so fuck him - anything he says is biased. Secondly - he's a broon fan so fuck him - he's not used to seeing good hockey (I mean over a period of years and years, as opposed to a few months)Thirdly - he seems to have some obscure fondness for all things Toronto - which means he knows nothing about hockey at all.
So, in short - fuck him he knows fuck all about hockey and to waste your time on him is to waste your life. Two words my friend - two words sum this up - your words, not mine - you know them well - you use them well - say them with me my blogging messiah...

Thanks Juce - I'm pretty sure that 29 will be cool with this - after all I've made no attempts to hide my admiration for the greatest goaltender in the history of the game - he was my idol as a kid and I've read everything he's ever written since. My mom is a life long Habs fan and (for her sins) a Liberal voter so last year, at election time, she didn't know anything about the local candidate so I sent a note to Ken's office - he called her personally and arranged a car to collect her so that she could vote - sorry to say it didn't help the candidate or Ken, but he went above and beyond for my Mom and that just re-inforced what I always thought of him. A true Habs Legend and an all-round excellent person!

Juce - Loving the new look! Nice one! I know it's probably because it's late (for me) and I'm half cut (or slightly more perhaps)but I'm feeling positive about tomorrow night. The Sens are on a roll but who gives a shit - they are playing the Montreal Canadiens on Saturday night - Hockey Night in Canada - This will work out well for the Habs - mark my words! Now where did I leave my drink...?
@Steve - serious question here - might sound like a question I should know the answer to but I don't so I'm asking...What part of the world are you in? Not sure why I want to say East coast - but my wife was being nosy and started asking me questions about all you lot |I spend time with on game days etc. She came across a few of your more random ramblings and then she said to me - where's this "Steve" guy from then? DeleteBest line ever Steve
Deletereally
and quick too - nice tip in
Does this work?
ReplyDeleteI couldn't comment anymore on the last thread and couldn't see any new ones...
DeleteAnyway, I heard he went to the Caps for Semin and a first round pick...
yes, were you also having trouble posting?
DeleteMr Gilles, I sure hope your joking
DeleteKidz its probably blogger implementing some unforeseen changes. Or 29!
DeleteYeah, it's working fine on this thread but it just completely stopped on the last one
DeleteLook at the bottom of the 1st thread of 200 comments, load more ...
DeleteAnd thanks to N31 I realized that I was too lazy to read the words "Load more" at the bottom of the page.

ReplyDeleteAnti-CH now says Calgary is confirmed.

ReplyDeleteHe went to Florida for Huberdeau
ReplyDeleteCalgary for Squid...?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeletePlus he has a no trade thingy, no way he goes to Calgary
ReplyDeleteHe has a limited no trade thingy. Meaning he had to list 7 teams that he wouldn't go to.
ReplyDeleteHe was sent over to broons locker room.
ReplyDeletefor ratface Toucan
DeleteI like bourque
ReplyDeleteAC has RC on next then Mr. Gauthier - so I'm still up...gotta get some Disarona poured quick!
ReplyDeleteDamn, I didn't plan for this and am out of alcohol.

ReplyDeleteRené Bourque is a Hab.
ReplyDeletestill bored with Cammygate?
ReplyDeletewv: to the Pens for Wortestu
Rene Bourque for Squid...?
ReplyDeleteRene Bourque? That's french?
ReplyDeleteToo bad his middle names are Gary Wayne
Oh. Rene Bourque is a bit of a douche and seems to only score ON the Habs. But who knows...hopefully he's more of a team guy. Just, you know, don't get suspended. Again.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteHe was traded just before the 3rd and pulled from the game to avoid rising injury and the trade.
ReplyDeleteSo let me get this straight. So far it's all been Perry Pearn, Jacques Martin & Cammy's fault. Okay then.
ReplyDeleteNot the deal I would have made, for one thing Calgary sucks, should have held out for a contender, Goat your fired.
ReplyDeleteBourque, some Tri-City European centre and a 2nd for Squid, Rammo and a 5th.
ReplyDeleteAn Euro-Albertan?
DeleteBourque, holland and a second rounder
ReplyDeleteDoes this make up for the lose of cap space with the Spacek deal? No, but there have to more than a 1-1 trade here. The vortex of suck swirls on. @Mr. Gillis, we got raped

DeleteGoat doesn't know he's next and Rd's gonna give him the boot in retribution.
ReplyDeleteGoat has set new standards for dirty GMing....
Deleteis there even a shred of respect left for this team? They have truly become a laughing stock. How can the goat be allowed to make a deal like this? He shouldn't be able to pick the movie on a team charter.
ReplyDeleteLong time no comment! And yeah, time to sacrifice the goat
Deletewell said
DeleteThey're only a laughing stock to us. Nobody else cares.
DeleteCalgary confirmed by the Goat.
ReplyDeleteSo...Calgary was kind. I'm actually more confused with Calgary.
ReplyDeleteCanadiens acquire forwards Rene Bourque, Patrick Holland (Tri-City!) and a 2nd pick in 2013 for Michael Cammalleri, Karri Ramo and a 5th pick in 2012
Habs get younger, bigger, cheaper, and an elusive A SECOND ROUND PICK
Borque is a year older than Squid
DeleteAll done and dusted and it's 3.00 am Friday.
ReplyDeleteHappy sexy Friday everyone. Adieu Squid. Merci beaucoup but it was a shame how things ended.

ReplyDeleteI'm OK with the deal, they get a mean SOB who can score the odd goal. Plus a prospect and a pick.
So who's next? This is just for Moey: Plexxxe for Saku straight up.
Ok...so how do you see the comments passed 200?
ReplyDeleteI'm ok with the trade. And, according to the Goat, this trade was in discussion way before cammy's comments.
Merci Cammy, good luck!
