I'm a little late to the party myself, just caught up on reading last night's comments. Love the goat video.
Have to agree with 31, I was thinking about the B's this morning and thinking that the only team that can stop them is us. We are (as a Bruin's fan once put it) the mongoose to their snake Bring them on.
So back in the real world...If the Habs have to play every game like a Game 7 - do we think that there is enough intensity on this year's team to maintain that for the next 40 odd games? It's a big ask - but I am a Habs fan before all else and I (like juce) remain convinced that they will make the playoffs and will continue to think like this until they don't.
I actually like the combos that Steve has put up. I think Blunden (does he have a nickname yet?) brings out the best in Nokia and Darche. Gio needs to keep feeding Cammi, as he's found his range again.
No space for Gomez on this team - not if they are going to make a serious run for the playoffs - I don't even remember what wa actually wrong with him. Is there an IR he could be placed on for the rest of the year? The Bulldogs have enough problems of their own...although now that LLB his back things might change.
These are just my musings for a SF. Thanks Moeman - another sterling effort to end the work week. God bless you, SF and nos Canadiens!
If it has to go down, Gill is the first to go. I know he's (suppose to be) great in the room etc but he is an expendable player on the ice. However, I think I've noticed RC reduced his ice time, which is a good thing. So if he plays 12 minutes a game, he might be a keeper.
I never liked that stupid new realignment plan. For one, Florida is not in the "Northeast". And two, don't like the playoff format.
Man...even the Canucks are putting their backup against the Bruins. I know Schneider's a local kid and he's a better goalie than the average backup, but if I'm Luongo I want to show that I can take care of that team, especially with what happened in the playoffs. Instead, it just looks like they're afraid of putting him in nets against them. Though frankly it's the creepy ginger twins who have to show they can play against the Bruins, in Boston.
@juce, no way 12:17 AM is still Friday but agree with the rest of your enthusiastic post :) !
I'm really anxious about the next few games, if we win I know my hopes will get lifted and that worries me as this team has done that soooo many times only to squash my emotional high at the worst possible moment.
I guess it seems that way because I bleed BBR but PHuck do I hate that feeling.
Merci Steve. Make sure to click on Scarlett.

Je t'en prie!
There have been rumors of Gill and Moen being traded.
ReplyDeleteTrade deadline rumours. Time will tell. Both have contributed very well to our Canadiens.
ReplyDeletemoeman, That is true, I would hate to see them go.
ReplyDeleteGio in vs. rds' Habs South.
ReplyDeletePatCHes says he's feeling tired. Can't really blame him.

ReplyDeleteRumour has TFS™ soon to be signed long term, $5-6M per.

ReplyDeleteI wouldn't trade Moen. IT WOULD RUIN ELLER'S LINE! Wait until Leblanc can join Eller's line more full time....
ReplyDeleteOur penalty kill and the funny Habs video will miss Hal Gill if he goes :(
