Well let me be the first to say it, blow it up, blow it up real good. St Louis is a shit team, we needed this win. So we suck, suck suck suck. TFS, PFK, Lego, Patches, Daizling, Y, the rest trade bait for prospects and draft picks. Giant and Squid, can come back if a trade cant be made.
Hey guys, I just got out of prison where I was serving a setence since June 2010 for watching people in the shower. Great news to come home to, Halak gets the shut out in Montreal! wOOt wOOt! Knew that boy would lead us to the promised land, I'm just glad the organization decided to do the obvious thing and keep...
Not sorry I called it a night after 2 last night...The Habs looked dreadful last night. They had 2 4 on 4 situations - both times they looked like they were killing a PP. I know Squid got a couple of goals recently - but he looked lazy and uninterested last night. I thought RC was about instilling heart and drive. They got 4 shots in the third - they start the period down 2-0 and manage 4 shots! Tells me not a lot has changed. Of the 13 other shots I saw in the 1st and 2nd, maybe 2 were dangerous. They had nothing last night and that is very disappointing. The thing about the team as it is now...it highlights the glaringly obvious - The D is young and will improve but the more "senior" D men are very weak. Yes I'm talking to you FULC! You were never the solution. And Campoli didn't look much better...And IMHO it now appears that Gomereah and Squid are interchangable...which is equally disappointing. So why not package them up with Weber and Nokia for a power forward who can hit the net...
@juce - babe - you never really left us did ya? Say it isn't so!
On the + side - didn't drink last night 'cause 29 reminded me about the "streak" and what happens when it gets fucked with. So now that they lost, I'm drinking again! WooooT!!!
St. Louis is not a shit team. Go check their roster. They are fucking huge....and fast. The smurfs had NO chance last night. After 42 games I see no signs of improvement. This team is fucked. It needs to be disassembled and ALL the undersized forwards shipped out. ALL of them. What a fucking disgrace.
BenCH Squid. Don't give him the fucking PP minutes, he is USELESS out there. W.T.F.
We need to ship some of them high paid unproductive forwards elsewhere. I'd keep Gio, Eller, DD, AK46 (for 1 year again), TFS, PFK, Diaz, Y, Gorges, PatCHes, Cole...am I forgetting anyone? No, I don't think so...
If the Ducks are having a fire sale, I'd be willing to check it out, too. But I would be careful not to throw out all the our draft picks, we have chances of selecting in the top 5...
Aw shucks, thank you everyone! Can I get a refund on that $1.00 then? Mmmmmuffins, yummy. You're right moeman, gotta move on, next stop goontown. Sad though when you see some players who just don't seem to put in the effort, maybe RC should make all skates mandatory and ride their slacker asses into shape.
@kmaxx (you need to add another "x") yes Mtl time.
To all, I know I have been quite negative at times this season but now I've had enough, I will not tolerate ANYONE speculating that we are going to make the post season, we would need 4 planes to go down for that to be eevn be a realistic possibility.
We need to get about 54 points to make the post season and that translates to 24-25 wins + the OT loss points, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE LET'S STOP DELUDING OURSELVES!
@mr. n. I hear you. They are mathematicaly still alive. The only math that matters though is 6-4, 235 beats 5-9, 175 every time. I'm sure they will win the odd game here on out. I'm just hoping that Tampa, Islanders and Carolina plus Edmonton win a few more. I don't think they can sink below the BJ's and Ducks, although Anaheim seems to be getting on a roll. I'd take 3rd overall. Should be good enough to get Grigorenko. I'm against trading for any more big contracts or signing expensive free agents. They need to get picks and prospects for the next year, maybe two. Until then we (loyal Habs fans) may have to hold our noses for a while. 'Cause they kinda smell like that rotten fish in moe's pic o' the day.
@Steve: I would miss Plexx, that guy was imposed on to carry this PHucking team along with TFS but as you say ya gotta cover the wound.
Squid was clutch in the playoffs but we can spread his post season goal production (we wont be needing it this year anyway) around a few other forwards.
Cammy needs to stfu and work 'cause right now he doesn't look like he deserves 5 minutes of ice time. Cunney is actually being generous.
Anyway he didn't do anything with the minutes Martin used to give him either. Complaints, whines, boohoohoos...blames his blown assignments 'cause he didn't have that many shifts?! WTF dude? He wasn't even at the damn optional morning skate that most of the team showed up to! Only thing he used his stick for last night was that useless jousting match with Perron.

ReplyDeleteAnybody miss me yet? The loss was enough, I'm weak and fragile, just let me pay the $1.00, maybe someone will want me.
ReplyDeletejuce, we always miss you.

ReplyDeleteSteve - The Blues are a top team in the NHL thanks to Hitchcock's annoying return.
ReplyDeleteJuce - what do you mean miss you? You were always here :)
Someone needs to purposely lose Campoli. And Kaberle. And force Cammy to spend an hour after practice shooting (assuming he didn't take practice off).
Bright side(?): Buffalo sucks just as much, new toys and all.
The sky is falling
ReplyDeleteIt's ok, I got cupcakes. And I do share!
ReplyDelete@N31 - I'll take 2... dozen.

Jesus CHrist Kmaxx, don't you ever sleep? Or do you live in another time zone, as opposed to Steve who dwells in a completely different reality?
ReplyDeleteWas a sad sight last night but we all knew deep in our hearts that a 1.5 game streak of decent hockey meant nothing.
Need to see some serious changes not just some tweaking, I would also keep Cole at least he shows up game in and game out, unlike most of his peers.
@moeman, gonna need some seriously hot babes to get over my funk, some Salma wouldn't hurt.
No use dwelling on it. We know they won't win every game. On to Beantown. Ugh.
ReplyDelete@moey....but they do need to win 25 to get 8th spot, it's gonna be scary to see their final points total after 82 games.
ReplyDeleteOK gotta go and actually show up at work

ReplyDeleteThat was a good big fast team and we are not.
ReplyDeleteWe are all going to die.

Get them draft picks!

ReplyDelete@Mr. N - I actually live in the UK so I'm 5 hours ahead of you (if you live in Mtl / Eastern Time Zone

ReplyDelete@the M - I know, but if we can squeeze a Getzlaf or Perry outta there...
ReplyDeleteGionta will not be going to beantown he has been re-injured.

Céline voted most overrated NHLer. Mexican't 3rd. DouSharek 10th.
ReplyDeleteAlso, burke says the players that voted against Céline are afraid of him and can go shit in a hat, " "They can all go defecate in their chapeaus (sic)
Gionta underwent surgery for a torn bicep today. *cue hysterical laughter*
