  4. Patches a lock for the Masterton Trophy. Unless the CotU slips a few for Lupul.

  5. OK - Well done to Patches on the Hattie!! But WTF!!!!???? I called it a night with under 5 minutes left in the game, praying that TFS would shut them out - it was about 20 to 3 so I was done - and so, I thought were the Isles...but no! So someone tell me what happenned please. 2 goals in a minute (one on the PP)...who am I cursing now that Gomez is poking his head out from under the shit list...

    1. Moral of the story: PVR ;)

Couldn't clear on the powerplay, the puck flew out in front and Moulson knocked it in with a high stick that the shitty building refused to show what RDS showed to refute it. Refs barely even cared to look at it... Then with Martin parked in front (who, on the replay, his screen had his feet in the crease and was kind of way too close to Price for my liking), Streit basically walked down Main Street to blast a shot in. Why no one dumped Martin, or Streit, I don't know... Then again, with how the Islanders were pressing all game it was only a matter of time before something found it's way in.

  7. Considering the fact that for one long agonizing minute last year we thought Patches had left this earth, it is a miracle. Fuck you Chara.

  8. So last night I fell asleep during the game and dreamed that Gomez scored. It was awesome.

Just checked this and apparently my dream came true!

  11. UNIONDALE, N.Y. – As the media waited for the Canadiens’ locker room to open after Thursday night’s 4-2 win over the New York Islanders, Max Pacioretty stuck his head out and asked: “Did it count?”

  15. MONTREAL — The troubled son of Habs legend Guy Lafleur was arrested again Thursday evening for violating probation conditions while in a bar on Peel Street.

Police say an officer entered the bar at around 11 p.m. and recognized Mark Lafleur, 26. He was searched and found to be in possession of narcotics.

Lafleur is expected to appear in court today.

This is not his first brush with the law.

He was arrested in a Blainville bar, north of Montreal, last fall for breach of probation and drug possession.

Lafleur pleaded guilty in February 2009 to several charges including uttering death threats, forcible confinement and assault. He was given a 15-month conditional sentence.

WTF? I go away for a week and they go on a 3 game winning streak? Gomez scores? Give them credit they will not lie down and die, but any respectable organization wouldn't any way. Except Toronto maybe.

Looks like it will be a near miss this year with a pick around 10-12. Oh well.

@Steve, they used to say "only Nixon could go to China." We say: Only Harper could bring back Pandas.

    2. The Devils, despite their late season surge, ended in 11th. They got 4th overall. Not a bad pick either. So if the Habs don't make it there's still hope they'll pick up a good prospect. It's a pretty strong draft.

Also if they start losing again, you'll have to go away again :p

Steve, you wanted me to scout Vinnie Lecav. I regret to report he's looking a little slow these days. Did SFA against LA KIngs who looked pretty freakin' good I must say. My buddy called him the Invisible Man. Tampa Bay's defence is terrible and their goalies are suspect. Without Stamkos and Marty St. L. they would be worse than Columbus.

The Habs are lucky they don't have Vinnie's contract for the next decade. Thanks Buttman.
