The only thing interesting to me now is whether or not the Habs can finish above the leaf, which unfortunately I doubt. But as long as they don't make the playoffs I'll be happy. Then the fun starts...and I don't mean the playoffs!
The best case for firing the Goat yet. http://www.journaldemontreal.com/2012/03/18/il-faudra-prendre-son-mal-en-patience As for my man St. Denis- reliable without something more is something you need in a defenseman. Not all your defensemen, but most.
Steve and Moey, you're both correct. I think we have some strong juniors but whether they can make the transition to the NHL is another story. I'm pretty sure Beaulieu will make it based on what I have seen. I have a feeling he may be like Erik Karlsson, an adventure in the defensive zone at first with strong offensive instincts. Fortunately Martin is no longer around with his lasso and bench glue. I've seen Morgan Ellis, he would project as a 5 or 6 D, but who knows?
Lots of interesting possibilities in the 2012 draft. Several pundits are saying both the #1 and #2 picks are available. Columbus can't afford to pick another Russian 1st and need to start winning now. Same as Edmonton, a third year of rebuilding is stretching it a bit for their fans.
Barring injuries, the Habs backend projects as adequate. Gorges-Subban, Markov-Emelin with Diaz-OnetoughSOB won't be too bad.
Apparently, there is a rumour that Geoff Molson has spoken to Patrick Roy about becoming the Canadiens next head coach. Maybe he'll bring Grigorenko with him.
Chicken going to match his crap total from last year or what? A 4th overall forward with all the talent in the world and the hockey brains of a pea. He's just lucky he's not Russian. AK46 was 10 times the player he was and will ever be.
In other news I hear Lucy beat the shit out of Dou$harek tonight. That poor fucker has fallen off the face of the earth after dumping Montreal for the Vatican of hockey. He really needs to take a trade to someplace like Phoenix or Dallas where hebwon't get noticed as much. The sad thing is I liked big Mike early in his career. The grass (or money) isn't always greener.....He should have stayed and been Vodkov's partner.
Just got in. WOW! 8-0 Are you kidding me? Elated, ecstatic leaf lose, but 8-0? broons just aren't that good. But I can say: hahahahahahahahahahahahehehehehehe, my stomach hurts from laughing so hard!
RAQUEL!
ReplyDeleteThanks moe!!

ReplyDeleteI took the dogs to Westmount. Ziggy got a beautiful Habs sweater and was so happy when we put it on him. Toaster stole some of my Skor Blizzard.
ReplyDeleteA number on the Zigg's CHandail?
DeleteNo but I can put my own numbers on it. My dad asked if there was a Price one. I'll just cut some bleu-blanc-rouge felt I have left over!
DeleteLooking forward to Ziggy-CH pics.

The parade was fun yesterday and the weather was just awesome, 22 and sunny.
ReplyDeleteI was interviewed by CTV news but they didn't air the clip.

a total clusterfuck, the only good news is we do have a strong group in Jr, but two or three years away from the NHL in the best case.
DeleteDon't count on it, I'm certainly not

DeleteThe George was arrested the other day.
ReplyDeleteYup and guess who he called when released from the slammer?
Deletehttp://huff.to/yvRugw
Along with his Dad. I heard he paid a $100.00 fine before being released, they really didn't cash in on that one.
DeleteTrue juce but you did get to see him in handcuffs.
DeleteThose handcuffs looked like plastic tie wraps. Guess they can't afford real ones.
DeleteTrue, but they just weren't mine.
DeleteStill no news on Milan Michalek, wheels of justice sure are slow. Likely, he'll just be fined.
