ReplyDeleteIf I ever see that little fuck Chris Lee I'm gonna punch him in the nose. 10 to 4 PP opportunities for the Senators. You Hab hating little fuckstick.
Slainte 4HF'ers! I'm having some Guiness today!
Love the pic of day. makes one want to cozy up.
ReplyDeleteHappy St. Patrick's day everyone, drink up, cheers!
Toaster and I will take this game with the grand parents. That's right, mom. Your grand child is a fuzzy little wiggly puppy.
ReplyDeleteOTTAWA - Here’s a numerical look at the game between the Senators and the Canadiens at the Scotiabank Place on Friday night.
ReplyDelete9:09 – Amount of ice time enjoyed by Mike Blunden in Friday night’s game, making his return to the Canadiens’ lineup for the first time since sustaining a lower body injury on February 2nd.
809 – Number of days that elapsed since the Canadiens last loss in regulation time at the Scotia Bank Place in Ottawa. Over the course of those seven games – not counting Friday night’s – the Habs posted a record of 5-0-2 in the Canadian capital.
3 – Number of times this season that P.K. Subban has dropped the gloves, going toe to toe with the Sens’ Colin Greening early in Friday night’s first period. The bout marked the seventh fight of Subban’s NHL career.
7:54 – Time that elapsed in the first period before the Senators managed to get their first shot on Carey Price, finally putting one on net courtesy of Chris Neil on the power play.
3 – Number of Canadiens who have two or more shorthanded goals this season, with Mathieu Darche, Lars Eller, and now Tomas Plekanec adding his name to the list after beating Ben Bishop with a beautiful shorthanded marker to open up the Habs scoring.
34 – Number of penalty minutes dished out by referees Chris Lee and Don VanMassenhoven over the course of the Friday night’s first frame alone, blowing the whistle seven times to send the Habs to the box, and another four for the Sens.
1 – Number of periods in Friday night’s tilt (the first) that the Canadiens didn’t start shorthanded. The Sens would begin the second with a 5-on-3 after last minute penalties from Yannick Weber and Ryan White, and the third with over 60 seconds of power play time from an Erik Cole holding call.
2 – Number of times this season that Alexei Emelin hasn’t thrown a single check, with the Canadiens leading hitter likely being a little tender after leaving the ice for an extended period of time in the second period having blocked an Erik Karlsson slap shot from close range.
8 – Number of blocked shots logged by Josh Gorges in Friday night’s game against the Sens, once again making the difference on the penalty kill, easing the work load on Carey Price. Gorges would finish the night with more blocked shots than the entire Senators team combined.

Dinner;
ReplyDeleteMussels get a little extra flavour when steamed in a little hops and barley.
Preparation time:
Cooking time: 8 minutes
Yield: 4
Ingredients
Michael Smith's Beer Steamed Mussels
5 pounds mussels
1 bottle of your favourite beer
1/2 stick of butter (1/4 cup or 2 ounces)
1 baguette, cut into 1-inch slices
Olive oil
Salt and pepper
Directions
Michael Smith's Beer Steamed Mussels
Preheat your grill to high.
Drizzle the baguette slices with olive oil, salt and pepper and grill until crispy and golden.
Meanwhile toss the mussels, beer and butter into a large pot. Cover and steam over high heat until the mussels open, about 7-8 minutes. Serve with the beer broth and the grilled bread for dipping.
I'm really happy to see Mike Blunden back. He was playing well with Pleky and Darche in a defensive mode that created more offensive opportunities than people thought. Elias should have been suspended for that hit.
ReplyDeleteDid Shanaban suspend Michalek or does he not work on St. Patrick's Day?
Think he's been reading our blog?

Oh well. That was an interesting shot by Markov lol.
ReplyDeleteThat was a joke right...?
DeleteHis shot I Mena...
DeleteI have no idea what he thought he was doing. Where's the patented Markovian backhand that used to win them shootouts all the time? Though it's been two years, I guess he forgot how to do it.
DeleteThere never should have been a tie, the ref did not call an obstruction on White(?) leaving Streit free passage to score.
ReplyDeleteloser point...never mind.
ReplyDeleteA prochaine mes amis! Thanks Moeman. Keep the faith Juce!
Sláinte
Goodnight KmaXXX, Sláinte to you and the family.

ReplyDeleteStaubitz shows White approval after a fight via huge smile. Doesn't he have a beautiful smile? Matches those beautiful eyes. (sigh)
ReplyDeleteOff to the Parade! Cheers!
