Cool off this weekend 4HFers.
I think Price uses Twitter entirely to troll his sister. It's quite hilarious.
ReplyDeleteHappy SF everyone!
ReplyDeleteFree drinks & Steve McQueen = party.
Is that Zappa?
Looks Edmonton failed for Nail.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=397349
No way, no nail they take Ryan Murray or Rienhart, watch for a trade spots with the Leaf.
DeleteVery SF with GOT
ReplyDeleteWhere is GOT? Is there a naked Lena Headey I missed???
DeleteSpeaking of, we never talked about the big battle episode last week. God it kicked ass
Where is GOT? Did I miss a naked Lena Headey pic???
DeleteAnd we never talked about last week's big battle episode (which I saw you watched already), which was awesome. "There are brave men knocking at the door. Let's kill them!!!"
hey look a double post! I must be drunk
DeleteGOT was as the kids say these days EPIC! According to my daughter, Joffrey is the biggest douche EVER.
Deletepicture 6 Mr 29, and your never going on Jeapordy.
DeleteSteve I swear I jumped right over pic 6 because there were too many clothes in that one...
DeleteSexy metal plastic and resin, and no its not my blow up doll.
ReplyDeleteFrank Zappa? Eeeww. Nice black cat pic though.
ReplyDeleteDon't knock Zappa, he gave us great advice like "Watch out where the huskies go and don't you eat that yellow snow?". :o)
DeleteHe had a jobs plan as well
DeleteDental Floss Technian
...and Moon Unit.
Deletehe also had the greatest role by a rock star in a TV show ever!!!!
DeleteDamn, gotta re-stock the bar.
DeleteCrazy nice find 29.
Deletemoe I actually watched that ep when it aired. I swear for 10 years after, my sis and I would say to each other constantly "can I offer you something to eat? some wine?"
Deleteheh, good stuff.
DeleteDon't repeat this but I had a baby blue Miami vice jacket. Beat that The M.!
Still talking to St.Patrick?
ReplyDeletehttp://www.tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=397361
Take language out of the equation and hire the best candidate dammnit!
ReplyDeleteStop stifling our choices. Do we want a coach who can make a winning team or a coach who can speak to the to the Media to explain why we aren't winning?
Bergevin speaks neither English nor French. He speaks Frenglish. Wonder what Bert thinks of that...
DeleteSo true, I find him often searching for his words when he speaks French.
DeleteSpeaks comme un true Montrealer ;)
DeleteFat Timmy may take a break from Hockey.

Fun reading for a Friday (with pictures)
ReplyDeletehttp://bleacherreport.com/articles/1190840-nhl-power-rankings-how-wise-is-your-team-when-it-comes-to-the-nhl-draft/page/2
"While many key players on the Canadiens roster came from outside their system—Brian Gionta, Erik Cole, Tomas Kaberle—Montreal has picked up some quality players through the draft."
DeleteWhats wrong with this statement?
Montreal is going to rock this draft, in 2017 there will be no playoffs, the Cup will just be handed to Montreal.
DeleteKANTBERLE!
Delete'Handed to Montreal in 2017'? Ok, but I see a win or 2 before then.
DeleteGO HABS GO!
I automatically assume that my computer is being monitored by someone at this point. That's why I keep taking them to all the really awful porn sites.
ReplyDeleteStupid incompetents, handed a killer's web posting on silver spoon and brushed it off.
DeleteLeave us innocents alone and focus where you should!
Work to be done before the new season.
ReplyDelete1)Nickname for Bourival http://www.montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/montreal-canadiens/Bournival+should+crack+Habs+lineup/6692441/story.html
2)Nickname for the Lego, Lebrow, Boruival(roadrunner 2.0 R20? line Lawyer line LLB ELB BLE LEB LeBell line?
oooh, i like the "Lawyer Line". not sure why
DeleteJD line all the way. Go Queen's.
DeleteTake a chance on me
ReplyDeleteI'd like that but I'd pick Boo Nieves first. And get Son-of-Ulf just to troll the Bruins.
DeleteI'm pretty sure his buddy was arguing with me about Athanasiou in my comments section.
DeleteThe IP was from Woodbridge, Athanasiou's home town, and he kept changing names.
Well SF has given GWW a run for its money. I think we'll need many more weeks of both to determine which is better.
ReplyDeleteHappy SF everyone!
Heat-Celtics tonight should be a good one.
I aim to please or is that I please to aim?
DeleteGalchenyuk. On a bike. What knee problems?
ReplyDeleteKnee passed every combine test with flying colours.
DeleteI'm much more worried that the draft goes Yakupov 1, Galchenyuk 2; than anything with his knee.
If those two go 1-2; it becomes a tough choice, but I'd probably go Grigorenko.
I am with you, its GCHuk for us. Oilers are taking Murray, maybe in deal with Columbus, and Columbus will take the nail.
Deletewanna bunch of bullshit, have you ever heard of anyone aside from Ricky Williams taking a credible year off.
DeleteTrudeau came back and wiped Joe Clark.
Deletewhere are you now PET, watching the Canada you built be fucked up by a bunch of Republicans, led by an intellectual chicken hawk draft dodger (Tom Flanagn for those of you who cant google) from the USA.
DeleteTiny Tim wants to take the year off? That sound you heard was Tuukka Rask throwing a parade.
ReplyDeleteThough Ryan Miller, Jimmy Howard and Jonathan Quick might have something to say about him still wanting to go to the Olympics... (Silver medalist in bench warming).
As I said above bullshit, no one takes a year off, especailly when your 38
DeleteTT is ted nude gent with pads. A fucking nutjob, a broon one, to boot.
DeleteTim Thomas is no Ken Dryden. And probably won't go study for a law degree either.
DeleteWhatever his reason is I honestly don't care. I'd love to take a year off myself but I wouldn't highjack my teammate's press conference about it...
Any broon is a notjob.
DeleteI think he knows he's a has-been and wants to get out before he has to show it publicly to the hockey world.
Subban tops list of Hockey Canada camp invites
ReplyDeletehttp://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=633604
If Malcolm is available at the Habs' 2nd pick, pick him. MFK!
DeleteI say no, the TFS is not a guy who likes pressure from below, he is a girl on top guy. Little PFK is gonna rattle his chains in a bad way.
DeleteNah, Habs need G depth and MFK is a solid dude (yes a riff on Two Solitudes).
DeleteI disagree, we have put all of our cards on TFS, he is for the next ten years at least our number one playing sixty plus a year and all the playoffs. Subban is a wasted pick unless you dont have faith in TFS.
DeleteAnd on that count, it never hurts to have a backup plan, see Luango.
Been a TFS™ fan since he was picked 5th overall but Habs G depth is weak and MFK could add to that in spades (see what I did there don cherry?).
DeleteNah they'll probably pick up Makarov or Corbeil (BJ's just released him). Can't rely on Delmas and his concussions to cover for Mayer.
DeleteMFK's personality is not the same as his bro.
DeleteNot saying we're looking for a goalie, but I don't think it would bother TFS as all.
gCHuk, please.
ReplyDeleteTimmy has been making lots of flipper noise
DeleteIf gCHuk becomes a Leaf I'll upchuck.
DeleteN31 knows, gCHuk cannot be a leaf.
DeleteSpurs-Thunder tonight should be a good one
ReplyDeleteFor the first time in a long time, Habs are going to get a star player. Doesn't matter if it's Gchuk, Gmoe or FF. I agree that they are thin in goalie depth but no way Malcom falls to 32. Montreal will have to look at taking a goalie in a few years for sure but as long as they can find a suitable back-up in free agency I'm OK with that. I actually like Budycall, he's still young and I think is a reliable alternative to TFS every 5 or so.
ReplyDeleteI hope Teabag Timmy does fuck off for a year and never comes back.
Budaj is actually older than TFS, 29 and 24 respectively.
DeleteTFS has a few more games (271) in his 4yr career compared to Budaj's (259) 6yr career.
Not sure if that really means too much if you consider how often TFS got the starts.
@juce, 29 is still pretty young. At least to me it is!
DeleteMe too as you may know.
DeleteJust not sure what the usual shelf life is for a hockey player.
So uh...this is why Timmy is taking the year off. To build his bunker with that extra 5 million in dead cap space!
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHA HE DELETED IT. What a clown.
DeleteCoward!
DeleteNope just the link seems fucked. Must be a timeline thing.
DeleteTim Thomas probably watched Mad Max and thought it was a documentary.
Seriously...I prefer our cowboy goalie.
Happy birthday, Big Bird.
ReplyDeleteSo, according to the Hot Stove, Crawford will be the man. I'm OK with that. No way do I want Therrien back behind the Hab's bench. That would mean the Separatists won. Fuck them.
ReplyDeleteJust the fact that they had to have French as a qualification means they win.
DeleteI speak both so, it's not that I am anti French.
'Crawford is believed to be a leading candidate for the Montreal Canadiens job and is also interested in the Washington Capitals and Edmonton Oilers'.
I can't help but think that he'll go to any team that'll have him.
Read more: http://aol.sportingnews.com/nhl/story/2012-06-02/marc-crawford-canadiens-coach-washington-capitals-edmonton-oilers#ixzz1wh0GEIM1
Maybe they're talking to candidates we haven't heard about yet.
DeleteSurprise the H e double hockey sticks out of everyone.
Crawford has wanted the job for years though.
DeleteBergevin is looking for someone who reminds him of Joel Quenneville until he can hire Joel Quenneville for reals.
How to Kill Hockey: allow the Devils in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
ReplyDeleteHEY YOU SUCK!
ReplyDeleteHey the game's tied. Maybe YOU suck.
I wasn't watching the game BTW, I figured there would be a Hot Stove segment where it was Saturday night. 1-0 looks pretty dull to me.
ReplyDeleteI was actually watching a cheap sci-fi movie on Showcase called Descent. Looks like another version of a movie called the Core that Hillary Swank was in.
He you have not seen it try Sunshine dircted by danny boyle. I just finished Abyss special edition, a heck of a movie.
DeleteI suck?
ReplyDeleteNo, you just don't have Habs Hockey!
DeleteMaybe they'll go into OT again, milk the ratings.
ReplyDeleteThe ratings were falling anyway.

ReplyDeleteNew Jersey Boringers.
ReplyDeleteLos Angeles Bad Jerseys.
Habs ~ best jersey ever in any sport!
DeleteHell yes. Chicago also knows how to dress for hockey.
DeleteDid you know their jerseys are made here?
DeleteChicago's? Well that explains why they know how to dress :)
DeleteHere's the company that makes them.
DeleteI seem to remember a story about a lady working there who loved Toews and she was just thrilled when they were in the playoffs.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e464XIrZu14
Apparently, St. Patrick is out of the picture.
ReplyDeleteHis ego didn't fit in the picture.
DeleteSo if there are no unknowns in the picture, we are left with two hockey analysts.
DeleteAny one of us could do that (myself excluded).
the known unknowns and the beastly unknown unknowns.
DeleteBADABING BADABOOM
ReplyDeleteMethinks the Devils are in deep doggy doo doo. *fistpump* GYFKG!!!
ReplyDeleteJust to clarify my comment above I am not anti-French. I am anti-separatist. I know that the head coach has to be bilingual but as has been pointed out many times that really limits your hiring pool. Montreal will never be able to hire the best coach available so we have to accept that fact and hope for a superior effort by the players and more than a fair share of luck, kind of like when Jean Perron won.
ReplyDelete@juce, 29 is primetime for most goalies. Look at Teabag Timmy the nut winning it all last year at 37.
I still think he had Buttman and a horseshoe up the rear.
Deletethe M, Sorry, I hope you don't think I meant to imply you were anti-French, not at all. I was just trying to convey that I was not and how we should go for the best qualified man.
29 huh? Better stay in school, kiddies.

ReplyDeleteWelcome to Friendsville – population: you and Max Pacioretty! Put in a little more time and you'll soon be on your way to becoming besties.
Him, Erik Cole, and I. We cool.
I lost my best Hab friend for now, come back TITS
DeleteR.I.P. Richard Dawson.
ReplyDeleteKillian - I'll be back.
DeleteOnly in a rerun"
With the greatest of respct, that performance was awesome.
DeleteAnd I grew up on Family Feud. The original, with him. That was entertainment. A true original. RIP.
R.I.P Richard.
DeleteI loved Hogan's Heroes and I loved him as Corporal Peter Newkirk.
I grew up with Ray Combs' Family Feud. Freaky how they died on the same day...
DeleteHeat-Celtics tonight should be a good one.
ReplyDeleteI just scrolled down through the whole thread and spotted moe's reply about the Miami Vice jacket. Don't know if I can top that although I do still have some old comics from the early 60's and my vinyl collection.
ReplyDeleteI also noticed Number31 mentioned that the BJ's released Mathieu Corbeil. No doubt after watching that crappy performance at the Memorial Cup. Surely there is an AHL goalie available to play in Hamilton.
RIP Richard Dawson, loved Hogan's Heroes when I was a kid.
I coulda/shoulda rented out that jacket and made some quick cash.
Deleteme two ditto for Richard and Hogans
DeleteSummer drink recipe du jour: (well, "of the day" b/c it's terribly British)
ReplyDeleteBlueberries and blackberries in a glass, gently crushed (but not TOO crushed) with a spoon
1 oz. gin
2 oz. Pimms #1
squeeze of lime
ice
splash lemonade
splash soda
mmmm
you can replace the splashes with 2 splashes of San Pellegrino Limonata or other sparkling lemonade, though I didn't have any at the time
DeleteGotta get me some Pimms.
DeleteTickets for Tenacious D's Echo Beach July 5th concert booked with my daughter!
ReplyDeleteShe is soon off to Montreal to do some cool 3D-anim for;
http://www.visionglobale.com/index.php
That was cool.
DeleteThat was some ugly baby.
Congratulations to your daughter, you must be very proud!
DeleteYou know it juce.
DeleteI am obsessed with the version of this Dylan song;
ReplyDeletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VRR5YrpbBe4
Her voice reminds me of a singer I just can't put my finger on, maybe Billie Holiday, very 'bluesy'
DeleteThe short film it soundtracks is amazing;
Deletehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c8mt_fkChjg
Funny what thoughts you may have...don't want to give the film away.
DeleteEvery single frame and word of the film is/are perfected.
DeleteOur lives are made of momentary words and frames. We never know what happens next in life but to be able to reflect as the protagonist does is an experience. The film is sublimely short and hits the heart and head with an aplomb that actually hurts. I have re-watched fit almost 20 times. Its beautifully made and deeply touching.
