moe, I can't believe you are letting the leaf love-in by mclame and the old crotch with Kadri, Orr and McLaren slip by. I thought you'd be all over that. Since no one will be going back to the old thread I'll repeat myself: looks like the CBC has put away the Kesseltracker with the emergence of Superstar Kadri.
Didn't see it, don't think I could handle the lovefest. I've said it before the cockroaches do not live up to their stated national corporate mission. Their show is not meant for Canadians or hockey fans, it is heavily and overly produced for the benefit of their team and its fans. I've also said that if/when the leaf wins anything of substance it will not be good for the game. The insulting cockroaches and the moronic leaf fan are the most self-centred and arrogant idiots known to our game. The broons may whine, cheat and remain forever tainted but nothing will knock the bilious biased bluster from the ugly face of the CotU.
I suspected you didn't see it. It was sickening. Cherry brought in Kadri and that was fine, he used to do that whit players from time to time, Gilmour, e.g. But then he paraded in the two goons Orr and McLaren and said they were the reason for Kadri's and the leaf success. Mclame joined in and it was a giant stroke fest, Ron and Don, HNIC and the CBC all wallowing in the leaf win over Ottawa. You are so right, it has all become about Toronto and the sad part is it wasn't always so. Montreal used to get equal coverage but since Molson or Gillette sold all the rights to RDS, it's like they have been blackballed. I'm seriously hoping that Toronto is eliminated early and the Habs make another long run like in 2010.
happy Easter everyone. I seem to be alone in thinking Noo8 we gonna need a better name and I saw somewhere that he and Cube are the Honey Boo Boo defence, so its food of thought, honey or Boo Boo or honey BooBoo. The thing is no one seems to know how to say his name. I thought he looked totally lost.
He didn't look lost at all. Played over 17 minutes and didn't make any egregious errors. He's just getting warmed up. One of the best skaters I've ever seen, he will be part of a big 1-2 punch on the Habs D.
The funny thing about Kadri is that he'll be sent to, let's say Colorado, to get some 'star player' in a year or two and CBC and the other CoTU people will never mention his name again. When the Avalanche visit they'll mispronounce his name and act like they never knew the guy.
It's happened so many times now, I remember Matt Stajan. He was the next all-star that the leaf could build a dynasty around. Then, suddenly he was gone (I think for Celine). Now when/if they mention him on HNIC it's like they're talking about a complete stranger. Where is THE MONSTER I brought up the other day? Another franchise player that will change the record books, forgotten in minutes.
As Moe always says, they're not hockey fans, their leaf fans. If you don't have a leaf jersey on then you're nothing to them, and if you do then you're a superstar because they seriously don't know enough about the rest of the league to understand talent. I lived with these people for years. They wouldn't even have playoff pools if the leaf weren't involved. "What's the point?" they'd ask. And almost every one of them would pick leaf players up and down when they did make the playoffs. It's just their way.
Don Cherry compared PK to Orr last night. I couldn't believe it! Holy crap. Mmm....chocolate shoes.

ReplyDeleteBoy Gomer really sullies that list
DeleteYou beat me to it 29, that name should be struck from the record book. I didn't know Peanut Houle wore that number, he always wore 14 that I remember.
DeletePFK was a man playing with boys last night. I am sure its causing MBDG some sleepless nights. Will he have to brake the Price lock?
ReplyDeleteits become pretty obvious we can no longer afford PFK.
DeleteMolson will pay whatever it takes to keep Pernell Karl. Take that to the bank.
DeleteCrosby takes a puck to the teeth, broken jaw, out indefinitely. The way the media is covering it, you'd think the new pope died.
ReplyDeleteI still feel guilty it still makes me laugh
DeleteHappy Chocolate Easter everyone!
