Just read that Todd article you posted about PK. Very good. I like that they point out that the people who say PK has an attitude problem have never actually met him. It's all in the language these people use, too; "He's cocky" "He doesn't know his place" "He's immature" "He's not humble enough" Lots of these have been said about a certain President south of the border, too.

Although it is more fun to think that they hate each other
If, IF, the Sens do move on to the next round no way 'lady luck' aka league manipulation follows them there. Ottawa ain't Bettman's pick over the Pens or Caps (or any American team for that matter). I do look forward to hearing from Sens fans how unfair the officiating is once they're the ones watching Letang bicycle kick goals in and Cooke getting away with headshots.
O-Man - I agree with what you're saying...but this is not the time to be doing that kind of speculating. There is a lot of hockey left to play and we all must channel. No Excuses - Just Fucking Win!!
Amen. Bury this one at home for no other reason than to show buttman and assorted lackeys what for. Would cry if whatshisname number Deuce got a puck in the mush either.
They aren't even covering the series yet tsn decides to put it's panel desk outside the acc? They fit right in with all the other blue and white losers. Sick fucks.
If ever there was actual evidence needed that the "T" in TSN stands for Toronto rather than "The", that would be it...and I for one am so glad I cannot watch it.
I watched the first TSN highlights of the BOS-TOR series yesterday (had been watching the relatively neutral NBC highlights while in Florida at a sales conference).
Made me want to fucking gag. Duthie commented that "the Leafs have come so far" since they were not getting intimidated and pushed around by Boston. Guess what Leafs fans - nobody gives a shit how well you do, they only care about how many that you won. But then the Leafs wouldn't have a clue about that since they haven't even made the final since 1967.
That being said, TSN had a nice dagger in their highlights against Leaf fans...last time someone scored a hat trick against the Leafs in the playoffs in Toronto - Gretzky in '93.
Time for the Habs to stun the league with another Slovak superstar performance.
ok kidz real life has gotten in the way of the playoff game, so I am not sure if I will be able to watch the game, let alone comment. be excellent to each other
I don't know if any of you people are watching the World Championships, I'm viewing Canada/Sweden at the moment, but Mike Smith in the nets for Canada.....wow. What a goalie. Hmmmmmmmmm.......UFA too. Waddaya think Number31?
I've seen the other games as well and Matt Duschene from Colorado has been the best forward, supremely skilled.
Quick note on the Jack Todd piece on PK. Umm, was it on purpose that the fictional name he was using was Benson? Todd doesn't come across as a humourous guy much, but maybe his tongue was planted firmly in cheek.
I just remember as a kid, somebody would ask us to do something. A common reply was "Do I look like Benson?" Yeah, I grew up in a redneck town. Now I am an evolved redneck.
Moe, I don't know how you can listen to those dickheads. I can't and won't. There was an article in the Gazette about the perceived anti-Hab bias with an interview with bob cold who denied it. Those fuckers obviously don't listen to themselves. Anyway I call bullshit.
I love the torch thing as much as the next Habs fan, but would it kill them to do that at 645 and actually drop the puck at 7 as stated? Some of us have to get to work soon.
Let's be clear here, the Habs have played 2.5 bad periods (the 3rd in G1, the 3rd in G3 and the last half of the 3rd in G4) and they would have gotten away with the last one if the refs didn't pre-decide the game. The Habs are still the better team, they just need a break or two.
The best players need to be the best players. Ryder needs to score, DD needs to do something, anything, PK needs to do what he does.
My humble coaching advice would be, crash the net. Just crash it. Let them try to call interference again and again in front of this crowd. Anderson really isn't that good. Really, it's true. They make a big deal about the half season he played, but everyone knows that level of play would have never lasted over an 82 game season. Just rattle him.
This whole series has been one long kick in the nutter butters.
Seriously, if there was a pictoral representation of this series, it would be the Sens, referees, NHL brass and the HNIC panel lining up to kick Youppi in his fuzzy buttons.
3rd with validate this team. I know that they have one more in them. Anderson playing well? Yes. Puck hitting him in the crest? Mostly. He is having a good year but I remember him mostly from getting lit up in Colorado and Ottawa prior to this year. Talk about weak up top, Price has a lot on this guy. Just one more goal, just to poke the league in the eye. Then run him. Then enjoy them getting hosed with all this BS calls next round. Hard to hate the Sens but easy to do it after listening to Cold and Galley go on and on and on and on.
All due respect Trevor, we will likely be talking Draft on Draft day but Fucale has been mentioned in here and DGMB has lots of picks to make or trade or move up.

On the positive side, I can't wait to watch that Walrus' fat head explode next series when he's up against a real Bettman favourite. I will be following that series just to hear the Sens fans 'sudden' realization that things aren't always exactly 'fair'.
Despite the playoff result, we love our team. The Habs hate from the mediots will last a few days and will hurt our pride. Take it in stride FHFers as they have little to no class. Gonna be really difficult to cheer Ottawa.
I've got no dog left in this hunt. Just hope the Senaturds get demolished in 4 straight by whoever. Continuing to watch Team Canada at the World's and will watch the Memorial Cup in a couple of weeks. I've got a fantasy GM plan worked out I'll share later. MB knows what he needs but I'll help out for free.
I've got no problem with Paul MacLean, yeah, he could have handled the Lego incident a little better, but he didn't tell Gryba to take Eller's head off. The Habs got beat up by a bigger stronger team. This can be addressed eventually and MB will take care of it. He came from a Western conference team and knows to compete with those guys the team will have to get tougher.
I disagree with the Gryba hit. It may not have been Eller specifically, but I bet you there was talk about halting Montreals passes out of the zone. If you've been paying attention, they've been making "suicide" passes out of the zone all season.

G-CHuck and DDD should switch spots. Then it's as good as it's gonna get. That' 4th line might do some damage. I'm excited.
DeleteAgree 100%.
