I have seen many strange things. But at this point in time putting a proven big center on wing and replacing him with a super smurf takes the cake. Is there not a bigger cliche in hockey that you need a big center? The only one we have we put on the wing. Or maybe I am having a flashback?
another crazy move by eMPty, and this is a big part of (Y) problem. Can we not find a right handed defence man to play the right side, Jebus Beaulieu – Gorges Has now become Gorges – Beaulieu
According to Coach Therrien and the guys at RDS, Beaulieu will be playing on the Right Side – a position he has never played, while Gorges will play on the Left Side.(… even though Gorges has right side experience.
Being a fan of what Beaulieu can bring to the Habs, this is just another example of how this organization almost never puts youth in a position to succeed.
Look around the NHL. Just about every organization plays their rookies or 2nd year pros in the positions that they excel, but of course this coaching staff and management is so much smarter than everyone else ( Galchenyuk-Bournival-Tinordi…)
Watching the Coach’s friends on Antichambre defend the decision was almost laughable. The excuses ranged from he should play any position on the ice when given a chance…to the Habs need a right hand Dman (?)…..to Beaulieu is a defensive liability so it doesn’t matter what side he plays on.
Here’s hoping they are all right, but throwing Beaulieu to the wolves ( Pens lost last game) is just one more example of youth mistreatment and putting them in positions to fail.
Habs future goalie Zach Sweet Fucale broke a 35 year old QMJHL record last night beating the Saint John Sea Dogs at Harbour Station. Youngest and quickest ever to win 100 games in the league. Thanks, Goat.
I have sat here for the last 10 minutes thinking about something witty or smart assed to say about the coach and the Habs at the moment...but I got nothing. SO I am gonna err on the side of juce and remain 100% positive. Now then...GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO! GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO! GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO!! GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO!!!!
Yeah! Hey they shut Sid down before, let's go for more. GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO! GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO! GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO!! GO YOU FUCKING HABS GO!!!!
Hey MB! Your Habs are by themselves on the track in 3rd, but look out! There's a bunch of cars (teams) lining up bumper to bumper on the outside lane, the first one's front bumper is at your right rear fender and they are coming fast!! VRRROOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!
Well, you have a team of youngsters who know that no matter how hard they work, they won't be rewarded. In fact, if they do well (ie. the EGG line at the start of the season) you will likely be messed with. But if you make even the tiniest mistake it will be a blowup, you'll likely get benched and blamed for the loss. Meawhile, if you're a vet you know no matter how badly you play there will be no repruccusions. In fact, you will probably be given more opportunities to fuck up further. And that's what we're seeing, a bunch of tired and resentful youngsters, and a bunch of lazy underperforming vets. I'll let everyone else figure out where the blame lies for this situation.
Can't wait to hear about how this loss is all PK's fault because he was in the box for the 4th goal. Maybe TSN will have a poll, "Is it too late to change PK for the white kind of player.....We mean "right" kind of player"
How big is that OT win in Ottawa last week (with PK selfishly scoring the winner...what a show off, should have shown respect and passed it to a white player). Without those 2 points, Habs would be below the leaf fighting for a playoff spot with Columbus and NJ. Not that they're far off from that now, but still.
Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
I honestly wonder how much pride many of the individuals on this team have. For instance, when I do a shitty job at work (yell at the kids, forget to prepare an activity, bomb a lesson), I go home and feel bad. I get up early the next day and try to do better. It doesn't always work out, I will always have bad days and do bad things. But it matters to me personally. I would guess more than half the guys on this team feel nothing after a game like this. There just doesn't seem to be a lot of personally pride on this edition of the team. Under Koivu, they may have sucked, but I felt like they were always playing for something. For the last 4-5 years I feel like whether they win or lose is secondary to most of the players. Obviously there are many exceptions, and I'm not saying they don't care at all. But it seems to be mostly the kids on the team that put in the effort, while it's the vets who get all the breaks. Frustrating to watch, because it'll either run these kids out of town or teach them a terrible lesson.
Same here. For all the wrong reasons, looks like I'll have no trouble staying up watching Genie's match. sigh, not a good night, guess I'll go shovel the driveway before bed.
We still got the best uniform in the world, no one can take that away. It can be degraded by a stupid NHL crest in a stupid dicky in the neck by Buttman.
Let's go Habs!
ReplyDeleteFeel like I'm living in bizarro world after that freaking Avs/leaf game. arghhh!

The fired coach's club normally defend their former fired coach club member who may become a newly fired coach (hopefully) club member.
DeleteMy funny bone was tickled Rob Ford speaking in tongues explains everything.
ReplyDeleteHappy 96th Elmer Lach.

ReplyDeleteMT: "Tabernac, what's that noise?"
So Emmy and Diaz are out tonight? Not that it really matters I suppose.
ReplyDeleteWith all these various scratches and benchings you have to think the players have or will tune MT out. Can't happen soon enough for me.

ReplyDeletewe suck
Vodkov's gonna get benCHed
ReplyDeleteNah, unless he changed his name to PKVodkov.
DeletePFK's gonna get benCHed
ReplyDeleteI keep thinking it's like 5-0 because every time I go back to the tab with the game on it, TSN is replaying the goal and/or celebration.
ReplyDeleteWasn't that penguin holding PFK's stick? and he was trying to get it back? or maybe it was that last tap eh?
ReplyDeleteGo Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDelete13 minutes in, 2 shots on goal. Stellar.
ReplyDeleteSince when do the refs huddle to decide if it's a delay of game for the puck over the glass?
ReplyDeleteOuf
ReplyDeletecrap
ReplyDeletei give up
!*^!&*&!!*&
ReplyDeleteI was in the kitchen...Did I just hear the announcers say that Beaulieu was out on the PK?
ReplyDeleteFEAR THE COLLAPSE PEOPLE
ReplyDeletematt-ftc, why hast thou forsaken us?
Why even keep TFS out there if his team is going to refuse to, you know, play hockey and stuff, in front of him?
ReplyDeleteAnd Therrien answers the Pens second goal with...Daniel Briere.
ReplyDeleteFUCK! And I didn't know Tommy's brother was playing in the burgh.
ReplyDeleteWas that in!?
Gotta feel bad for RBQ, they say that wasn't a good goal - IT WAS IN THE FUCKING NET FFS!
ReplyDeleteWow. Fucking ref was fast on fucking off.
ReplyDeleteJust goes to show it's better to be lucky than good. Cause this team sucks tonight.
ReplyDeleteActually, not really.
DeleteYou were saying?
DeleteWoooooooohoooooooooo!
ReplyDeleteToronto gives us one for a change! miracle!
ReplyDeleteIt has ot to sink in sooner or later...FIRE THECOACH BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!
ReplyDeletedid he say it "entered the net and hit the netcam?" WTF are they looking at?

Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou're not going to score with the nearest teammate 18 feet from the net. No one is willing to sacrifice on this team.
ReplyDeletePing
ReplyDelete29 wins the Ping contest
ReplyDeletecrap
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why the become so passive in the D?

ReplyDeleteSEE YOU IN OCTOBER EVERYONE
As long as Half MT (or the need for a French coach) is here, this is what we'll have.
DeleteHey guys, who's covering Crosby in the slot on the PP? No one? Meh, it'll be fiiiiiiiine.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to hear about how this loss is all PK's fault because he was in the box for the 4th goal. Maybe TSN will have a poll, "Is it too late to change PK for the white kind of player.....We mean "right" kind of player"
ReplyDeleteBudaj call
ReplyDeleteabout an hour til Genie's match
ReplyDeleteSmarten up Habs, you chased PFK away.
ReplyDeleteTime for DGMB to impress the faithful.
ReplyDeleteLeblanc: 3:46TIO, 5 shifts. Why even bother. Half MT won't play these guys. It's almost comical. Almost.
ReplyDeleteHow big is that OT win in Ottawa last week (with PK selfishly scoring the winner...what a show off, should have shown respect and passed it to a white player). So he plays Gorges and PK for numerous games and the D goes down, meanwhile he doesn't even leave Markov and PK paired for 1 entire game.
ReplyDeleteDesperation.
DeleteARE WE WINNING!
ReplyDeleteWho started that Fleury?
ReplyDeleteIt was Budaj!
ReplyDeleteGotta love Boody, he likes to shit-disturb.

ReplyDeleteOh well, fire the coach and move on.
ReplyDeleteGo Genie Go!
ReplyDeleteI suppose I should be ashamed for switching it at 3-1 but I'm not. Yes, I'm a real fan but I refuse to watch shit hockey. That.is.all.
ReplyDeleteSame here. For all the wrong reasons, looks like I'll have no trouble staying up watching Genie's match. sigh, not a good night, guess I'll go shovel the driveway before bed.
DeleteIs this akin to the Habs performance?
ReplyDeleteGotta love the Genie Army, Go Genie!!!
ReplyDeleteNice effort Genie, drop the beiber and pick up the gCHuck
