So the night before Team Canada hits the ice, tsn (I think on the quiz) everyone is unanimous that CArey will be the goalie start to finish. WTF took you so long?
The Russian/Slovenia game is actually pretty close, the Yanks are kicking the shit out of Jaro and Buda. Is the shaved ape not able to keep up anymore? Patches should give him a wink.
The track worker hit by the bobsled has a broken leg and a concussion. Lucky...in a way.
It's truly laughable, these fucking Toronto hacks on SNet bashing price right out of the gate. They're astonished that Carey would get the start over Greasy Bob, it's his job to lose...blah, blah, fucking blah. Here they are trying make a big deal out of playing Norway, here's a clue you dumb fucks: it doesn't matter. This is a nothing game, the games against the big boys will show what Carey is made of, this is just a practice today. I turned it off because I know they are going to slag PK next 'cause he's a healthy scratch. Fuck them I'm watching Jennifer Jones curl 'til game time.
So will cbc say Keith getting a penalty holding onto the jersey with 27sec left in the period, that he took a selfish penalty and is a defensive liability?
I hate Bell and have no use for pampers, so why did the CBC advertise to me? I thought they knew my every thought and would redirect me to the Allen Mendelshon blog spot.. If I spelled that wrong fuck off.
as I have said since grade one, do not look at my abilty to complete simple tasks. Allen happens to have a name that was a einthith centuiy brand. Could not spell the explanation when I become PM that is open for expoltatkon.
"Obviously I feel I deserve to be here, but the attitude you come in here with is so important," Subban said after practice Tuesday. "I'd rather be overexcited about being here rather than be analyzing everything, thinking this is what I deserve, this is how I should be used. It's different than with your club team. You might not play the first game and then might end up playing the most minutes by the end of the tournament. You don't know what can happen. You just gotta go there, have fun, enjoy the experience. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We don't know the future with ice hockey in the Winter Olympics with all the NHL players, so enjoy the experience.
"I know I won the Norris Trophy. Everybody knows that, but at the end of the day it's not about what you think, it's about how you're being used and accepting that role."
All homer moments alone I respect Babcock to do the right thing. PFK is not a finished product. PFK does not have a system like they have in Ottawa that says, put the talent on the front of the bus. I really do not believe anyone cares PFK is black. Everyone has the prejudiced squeezed out of them in the pressure to win,
Funny, but not, how the poor Nor gets hurt in the leg with a puck, gets knocked to his knees and then pushed by his teammate in the but to help him to the bench. Hope your ok.
OK game to get the big ice kinks out. You can tell they have to adjust as the 'along the boards' stuff doesn't work like in the NHL. Dmen seem to cope better, e.g.. Weber's goal was calculated as he slightly moved in. Doughty had room to move on his goal. Surprised the speedy O-men didn't fly out there. Bring on Austria!
As predicted: A small surprise was Norway scoring on a redirect goal by Mathis Olimb on a shot that came about after Canada goalie Carey Price misplayed a shoot-in just 22 seconds into the 3rd period, breaking Canada's shutout.
Tell me about it. They were also chirping about his body language. Didn't realize the ejits were also body language experts. Wonder if they do handwriting analysis too.
I think I heard something about that idiot who tweeted the 'qc' mitts on the sisters' say he was a victim of photoshop? He's created a controversy - naturally.
Easy to type and effective is the rule of the FHF nickname.
My suggestion, seeing as Norris trophy winner PFK! was added to Team Canada with CHagrin in the mediot circles and he adds a fucking lot to Team Canada, is +76
Absolutely gutted by what happened in short track last night. Outside hockey, short track is my sport to watch and the men's relay is the superbowl. It's not about Canada "losing a medal" (I'm Canadian, I'm used to it), it's about my favourite event being ruined. And the Koreans were out, which sucked too (you always want to beat a real contender). Then I decided to really be masochistic and watch Nesbitt struggle (nothing personal, it's just sad watching her fall from grace in such a short time). Not a great day for Canada.
But our curlers won, as did our Men's hockey team. Today we hope for Chan to move up to Gold. Tomorrow the short trackers will be back and St Gelais has a chance to get a medal again. It's going to probably be a slow weekend as far as medals, but it should still be entertaining.
Latvia doing their best to keep up with the Czechs right now, but Tim Peel doing his best to fuck them over. Two missed calls and a goal that should have been disallowed since I started typing that last post.
Go Canada Go!!!

ReplyDeletePffffff, not fucking likely.
DeleteYou missed that we really miss having a fast skating Dman with offensive skill on the big ice
DeleteWatched the last 5 minutes. Looks like the Canadian D hasn't adjusted to the big ice yet.
DeleteJennifer Jones goes to 5-0, pretty much in control the whole game. The Swiss third, Carmen Schaefer is a hottie. To me anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnother Sexy Friday Olympian. Can you sense a theme?
Deletehelllooooooooo http://supportyourlocalgunfighter.com/wp-content/uploads/Carmen-Sch%C3%A4fer-swiss-curling.jpg

Sometimes xenophobia cannot be cured. That old fool doesn't represent my Canada.

ReplyDelete3-1, nice play.
ReplyDeleteDoughty!
ReplyDeleteWhat did Steve say, and Moeman forgive me the indulgence of broadcasting on your blog.
ReplyDeleteEveryone has the prejudiced squeezed out of them in the pressure to win,
Fuck off simpleson.
ReplyDeleteI gotta say a collison with the ref does not put most players offf the ice
ReplyDeleteFunny, but not, how the poor Nor gets hurt in the leg with a puck, gets knocked to his knees and then pushed by his teammate in the but to help him to the bench. Hope your ok.
ReplyDeleteLike how louongo gets a power juice for CArey at the bench.
ReplyDeleteNever heard a bad word (from teammates) about Lou.
DeleteI like Lou, admire how he handled the goalie soap opera in Vancouver.
DeleteAnother cockroach with "grapes talked ..." STFU!
ReplyDeleteWoohoooooo!
ReplyDeleteThe Price haters aka leaf fans, will be complaining that he gave up a goal to Norway and should be kicked off the team.
ReplyDeleteI'll blame it on a 'selfish' penalty - they would.
DeleteHaughten(sp) played a good game in nets.
ReplyDeleteNorway played the only way they could : the rope-a-dope. Austria will play the same way tomorrow, be nice to see PK get a shot.
ReplyDeleteOK game to get the big ice kinks out. You can tell they have to adjust as the 'along the boards' stuff doesn't work like in the NHL. Dmen seem to cope better, e.g.. ReplyDeleteAlso, no long Dman pass from zone to zone. I wonder who can do that kind of thing on the big ice.
DeleteAs predicted:
ReplyDeleteA small surprise was Norway scoring on a redirect goal by Mathis Olimb on a shot that came about after Canada goalie Carey Price misplayed a shoot-in just 22 seconds into the 3rd period, breaking Canada's shutout.
Spear the whale we did not fail
ReplyDeletegino reda:
DeleteCarey Price looked lost playing the puck behind the net and it cost him. Tough to adjust to the big ice. Doughty gets it back
Tell me about it. They were also chirping about his body language. Didn't realize the ejits were also body language experts. Wonder if they do handwriting analysis too.
DeleteThey are experts at picking corn out of shit.
DeleteAnd pepper out of fly poop.
DeleteYou'd think Id've heard that one Kate. Funny.
DeleteBabcock said he though CArey played a solid game.
ReplyDelete*thought*
DeleteHe's obviously not a leaf fan.
DeleteDenis Casavant goes to tva sports. Not good.
ReplyDeleteWonder what Steve thinks about Comcast gobbling up Warner Bros. I didn't think there was anybody bigger than Daddy Warnerbucks.
ReplyDeleteBit late to the party tonight...yea We Won! Bring on the fins! Go Canada go!
