What we are seeing is a success at communication. At the NHL level the physical abilities are closely aligned. Its like playing a RPG or nowadays most FPS game. What attributes are going to give you a winning character? In hockey and even NASCAR speed kills. Of all its faults todays NHL makes it obvious that plyons like the Princess are dead dinosaurs. Those not fleet of foot must have amazing skills in other areas. Increasingly those skills are not going to pass NHL muster.
I am not alone in ripping our coach multiple new ones. So our current reality caused me to suffer through some painful cognitive dissonance. As a history major I have a unique perspective upon everything. Do not envy me, you could have easily gotten that degree. What I relish is more than hot dog coverage of human character suddenly given main stream exposure by HBO and others. Little innocents like myself grew up believing all they were taught. I was in my forties before I realized it was mostly lies. There is only one thing you need to know and I heard it from the boss. " all men want to be rich, and rich men want to be King, and the King is not satisfied until he rules everything" And as a footnote if he had said women I think for men it would be a disaster but for humankind a blessing. So as far as the cognitive dissonance coach we have, right now he has to be exalted has the mental edge piercing the sixth astral plane, and apparently he has done it without acid, I have been in charge of channeling the efforts of more than a dozen humans towards a mutually beneficial goal. Herding cats is an easier proposition. If this is a team of destiny, destiny's child is eMTy.
I made a vow to remain positive and I shall stick with it! So far so good! I had a friend from tranna message me and he said the next time we met up I could rub the Canadiens in his face. I told him that seeing as how he was raised a leaf fan I took pity on him and blamed his parents and then I reminded him that the thing he would never have learned is that the time to gloat and rub people's faces in your hockey team's success is not in October or January or even the end of April...it was, in fact usually right at the end of June - but only after they had won 16 games after the regular season had ended.
MONTREAL (April 24, 2014) – Montreal Canadiens general manager Marc Bergevin announced today the signing of forward Connor Crisp to a three-year contract (2014-15 to 2016-17). The Club also announced the signing of free agent forward Daniel Carr to a two-year contract (2014-15 and 2015-16).
Wings/broons going to OT. More dirty plays and cheap shots by the broons, and no calls. Quel surpris. Lucic tied it with his second of the post-season. Can't wait to see TSNCBC write 10 articles each about the 'optics' of having Daddy Campbell working the front office while his son's teammate got off scott free for spearing, and now scored the tying goal. Hey Ronnie, we can't hear your "fair and balanced" outrage here!
Wings remind me of Chocula's Habs. Just sitting back letting the other team pummle them with shots, and every time you get to the opposition blue line you dump it in and go for a change. That 3rd and OT was pretty much all Boston, but they didn't really look at that great either. A lot of sloppy plays, and the broons never really seemed to have to defend. The Wings played like they had a 1 goal lead for the entire OT. Don't see them pulling off this upset.
Man, nothing more exciting in sport than the last minute of a one goal game! Even if you don't give two poops who actually wins. Minny did 2-1, though.
Avs finish with a whopping 12 shots, not even getting to double digits till the last minute. In fact, they got fully one third of their shots in the last 2 minutes.
Speaking of which, Minny got a penalty with 2 minutes left that even the Avs guys couldn't locate on multiple replays. Wonder if MacLean will give us a rant about how the ref did the wrong thing there. I look forward to the 29745 articles about it on CBCTSN.
Oman, CBCTSN is too busy prepping broon articles for the upcoming series against the most hated team on English Canadian television to concern themselves about such issues as dirty broon players, last minute penalties, etc. It's not unlike all my leaf fan friends. All they can bring themselves to do is cheer against the Habs - don't give a flying fuck about hockey, so long as the Habs lose. They are for the most part after all leaf fans, not hockey fans. Same as the fuckwads on tv.
MT looks like he's going to do a jig or something.
