What I find disgusting is that RDS on AC is using a HNIC (CBC) feed to show kidG's goal. Before the Buttface TV deal, RDS had their own camera crews and the best angles on the plays. In fact there were a couple of times that the war room used the RDS feed to review.
What a fuckin shit article, High stick?? It hit Gally in the middle of the back, fantastic "eye-hand" coordination to spin around and bat it in yo the net. Cam Cole is a fuckin Flames fan anyways Fuck him
WOW What a fucking asshole! So glad I don't get that shit rammed down my throat. Between him, McSplooge and The National Embarrassment pretty fucked up biased no mind reporting. Sad. Go Habs
I know last night moe was upset with Mike Johnson for saying the officials should have let play continue for another second or two after Price lost his mask in a scramble. Mike played for the Habs but he also played for the leaf and may have a little of that particular stench still lingering on his person. I liked Johnson when he played for the Habs, he was a skill guy on a weak team but he played a decent enough game. He was wrong in making that statement, but I will find it in my heart to forgive him because he probably has to toe the company line if he wants to keep his job, ergo disparage the Habs once in a while to satisfy the SFU's and any leafools who may be watching. Romanuk on the other hand was nearly in tears when the third period ended. I hope to fuck we don't have to listen to him any more, but please NO BOB COLD FFS!!!
Fuck the media and their narratives. The scene was set in game one. No matter what happened, it was illegitimate because the best player in the world Mark Stone was so severely injured. Just like another excuse will be set up early next series. Last year it was because Bishop was out. Then they got lucky bounces and the refs were on their side against Boston. Finally the Rangers exposed just how terrible they are without Price (even though they did much better than TB did without Bishop). This year they weren't going to beat the Sens, but then it was because Mario Gretzky/Mark Stone was injured severely, then it was the refs, then that early whistle giftwrapped it for everyone. No matter what happened in the game after that they had their story. It could have ended 10-0, it wouldn't have mattered. Somehow a pretty usual blown call in the 2nd period of game 6 became the biggest injustice the hockey world had ever seen. Somehow it lost the series for the Sens, even though they still didn't score again (which they would have had to do to win the game) and then win the next game.
Fuck 'em. They'll come up with something within 10 minutes of the first game next series, too. Some injury, some borderline call, the ice is too bad or too good, the time of the game, ANYTHING to discredit the Habs. It's just the way it is. At least I doubt we'll see Babcock or Yzerman on TV crying, demanding suspensions and threatening players. At least Montreal will be facing professional organizations next round.
Also, all this shit about Montreal not being able to score (which I agree with, but perspective here). TB was the highest scoring team in the league this year. They've scored 10 goals in 5 games, the same pace as Montreal (incl. tonight 12 in 6). Stamkos has a big 2 assists. He just missed a gaping wide net. The Rangers only scored 11 goals in their series, barely ahead of the Habs per game.
Again, just more narratives to discredit the Habs.
See the big hit by Kronwall on Kucherov? Not at all unlike the Karlsson hit on N8. Remember that one - the one that was rarely mentioned. I'll be following along closely to see how the SFU and NHL react to it.
Me too. But I think the Caps have a better chance at beating the Rangers. My good friend here is a huge Islander fan and told me last night to maintain radio silence today because he can't watch the game till later tonight. I feel bad for him knowing what's coming. But not too bad. He often takes joy in chirping me about the Habs.
There will be a game 7 in Tampa. Since that's Wednesday night, and the Bell Centre is booked Saturday, I'm predicting a Sunday night start to round 2. So far away. Unless they go crazy and make it Friday night, which would be great on many levels. Doubt it though.
Damn it guys, you could have had a free cheeseburger yesterday! In honour of the Hamburgler going down McD's was offering them in at least one franchise in Quebec!
Yeah, but if the Wings win they'll be cheering for "future Toronto coach" Babcock. At this point, after watching parts of this series, I'm not sure who's a better match up for the Habs. Like with the all the possibilities of their opponent in the first round this year, I'm not going to tempt fate and cheer for one. I've also abandoned all predictions this spring. But I feel like whoever it is, it'll just be more abut the hockey and less about the theatre. We can't lie, the Habs and us fans are prone to that nonsense too. I just want a good series of intense hockey. It's hard to hate the Wings, and whatever we might think about Tampa they've got a good young team led by some smart people. It wasn't actually until today that I really realized that Yzerman is heading Tampa who is playing Detroit (I mean, I knew it but hadn't thought about it). The road that the Joe Louis is on is called Yzerman. That's pretty cool. I always like Stevie Y, especially when he played with Fedorov. Some classy talented guys have donned that red jersey. I hope the Canadiens can (re)learn what it takes from that organization.

Man I just watched the highlites from the bolts dead things and man Does the Detroit D look slow. Wow. But that's what I remember from the Tampa games, those fuckers came in fast. I don't want to play them Go Habs
So whoever wins Tampa/Detroit, they will only have one day of rest before the new series. Me likey. Hope it goes to quadruple OT. I thought they would wait till Sunday night, but that's just too much waiting. The other series will have played 2 games by then. Either schedule, I'm clear for the first 5 games! 8 am drinking games!
This is weird, but depending on whether Detroit or TB makes it to the second round also affects the NYR/Caps series (G7 would change dates) and the ANA/CAL series schedule. I guess for broadcast reasons. It's just interesting to see how everything has to slot together. Maybe in the future the Bell Centre can hold off on booking the Bell Center out on Saturday nights in April and May.
"The Canadiens scored 221 goals in the regular season, tied with Pittsburgh for last among the 16 playoff teams."
How come the mediots don't trash the Pittsbirds for being weak offensively? They got Crosby AND Malkin FFS! Nope, they make it all about the Habs. Fuckers.
Why do the Wings/Bolts even bother with game 7? It's like the league already have Tampa winning, the schedule shows Habs / Tampa, not Habs TBA, why not Habs/Wings? or just Habs?TBA? The suspension of Kronwall was a farce (ok maybe it was suspendable per league standards - but they really don't have any standards) but after everyone else who got away with the crap they got away with? like Saint Paddy says, it was much like greasy swede on N8 - they suspend that? - for a game freaking 7? a guy with no 'history' after 11 seasons? think Buttman is so afraid of TFS and the possibility of Habs advancing and maybe taking it all, they tried to get a matCHup with the team they had trouble with this season. Buttman will probably send it his 'best' refs with their 'marching orders' for tonight's game too.
I hope the Wings win just to screw everybody over and see the shocked faces all across the NHL brass offices. Go Wings.
Steve, Bishop is really not that good, his advantage is his size, he's been chased from the crease 4 or 5 times this season.
Today I think I can say with some justification if you only examine the human race and Hamilton Ontario I am the proudest father in the whole universe. The Kid passed, thinking aboot it even MT would see him as a good teamate.
I am with Chester I do not want to play the Botls, Datsyk can dispsy doodle till the cows come home and he is not really scary. 12 more wins and the cup. 12 more half a 24 I am thirsty
Great news everyone! (well, just for me) No classes today because it's Sports Day! I guess I could go outside and play along, but I'll just stay hidden in my classroom and watch the hockey game instead.
Painfully obvious offside on one of Tampa's scoring opportunities.
The incredibly neat thing about the DET/TAM game is that, according to the SFU, the losing team's incredible coach becomes the incredible leaf coach. I find it incredible how incredibly knowledgeable the SFU is.
Bishop almost got burned when he was out of the net and the Wing missed the net. I sooooo want to see Bishop get burned, he's too fucking cocky for my liking.
Very disappointed with the Wings, especially in the 3rd. Every time they had a rush, they'd start weaving in the neutral zone until all the Tampa guys caught up with them. Every shot was wide or at Bishop's chest. But good for them to make it to game 7.
Well, that was the way the league intended it - suspend one of their top players and publish the 2nd round schedule with the Bolts already penciled in as the Habs opponent - all pre-ordained.
Get ready for approximately 238734 articles about how the Bolts are going to steamroll the Habs. I'm sure they'll repeat many times how Montreal can't score without a word to the fact that TB scored just as many on a per game basis. Can we play a reverse drinking game for when they don't mention that Stamkos has been pretty invisible with no goals (but actually tons of PIMs)?
Nooooo the Biship now our cross to bear. People of Montreal lock up your little kids the boogyman is comming to town. How to fix the pp. Basicly a floating trapizoid with the null corner in flux until Patches materializes and snaps it top cheese. Reapeat for 12 games.
Welp, the SFU's will get to cheer for their "blue and white" and will now be able to latch onto Stamkos' dick. The anti-Habs rhetoric will tuned up another notch. Montreal won't score a goal let alone win a game. Tampa is INVINCIBLE!
the most interesting discussion about hockey I have heard recently is rating Echiel as a second pick against Stamkow, et all. Buffalo should be embarrassed for puttin this kid down in the opinion of the gallery.
snet is trying to find any/every angle to give the series to Tampa. So far, according to snet, Tampa has the Habs on D, O and Bishop has 4 assists this year and the Habs got penalties against him. So far no mention of the Tampa shitty playoff PP, barely better than the Habs shitty playoff PP. snet also says the Habs 'will try to play like Detroit did'. Yeah, sure, they lost you sick fucks.
I think it's obvious that the Habs have to come out flying in game 1. The Bolts will be tired, and also they kind of sucked on the road during the regular season (18-16-7). Would be nice to exploit all this right away.
Ward gets the gwg with 1.5 secs left in regulation, AV goes on a rant screaming there should have been a penalty just prior for a hit on a Rag, but it was legal according to Auger. AV is just like Julien minus some facial expressions.
AV was just as bad as Julien in marking the Habs as divers. Everyone likes to cry that the Habs get help from the refs, but in last year's playoffs MTL had more PKs than PPs. The only time it went in the other direction was after Julien tried to embarrass the refs after I think game 2, Boston only got one PP for 2 games after that. Then it went back to Boston getting more PPs. I think MT 2.0 has learned from that and that's why they dealt with the whole PK slash thing professionally while Murray and Cameron were out crying and yelling in front of cameras. Snd then look what happened, PPs 5-1 for the Sens in G1 but then turned the other way for a couple of games after that. I'm not saying it's fair, but there is enough evidence to know you're digging your own grave. To credit Cameron, he did seem to learn the lesson, too. AV probably hasn't, but then again the Rangers have become an NHL darling so I'm not sure anything will really happen.
Well, I just watched it, and the only penalty that should have been called was against the Rangers for tripping Ovie. Man, that guy is truly amazing. Goes in one on four, gets tripped, still makes it happen. I want the Caps to win, but Ovie is scary.
We need a nick name for Johnson. Ice wang, l'prick, cold dick, Veejay, Brony, coal, I read Krieder did another Krieder. I give PFK permission to microfracture his nuts.
Nice, moeman.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward 2 the next round. Go Habs Go!

ReplyDeleteI sooooo want to see Bishop get burned, he's too fucking cocky for my liking.
1-0 Impact at the half
ReplyDeleteWell, this DET TB game is quite entertaining.
ReplyDeleteCrap 1-1
ReplyDeleteugh 2-1. Impact falling apart
ReplyDeleteNoooooooo! Tampa scores.
ReplyDeleteTheir first even strength shot in 32 minutes of play. They're 5 minutes into the 3rd.
DeleteA goal after a whistle in Tampa. Can't wait for the aggressive outrage in the media about this!
ReplyDeleteYeah right.
Ruh roh. Whatever, bring the next fuckers on! Carey! Carey! Carey!
ReplyDeleteHabs will face Tampa.
ReplyDeleteThe narrative will be that Bishop shut the door, but he didn't really have to make a tough save all game.
Very disappointed with the Wings, especially in the 3rd. Every time they had a rush, they'd start weaving in the neutral zone until all the Tampa guys caught up with them. Every shot was wide or at Bishop's chest. But good for them to make it to game 7.
DeleteBring on the Bolts!
GO HABS GO!!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, that was the way the league intended it - suspend one of their top players and publish the 2nd round schedule with the Bolts already penciled in as the Habs opponent - all pre-ordained.
ReplyDeleteFire Babcock! Useless fucker should go coach the leaf, Kidding, Sort of.
ReplyDeleteGet ready for approximately 238734 articles about how the Bolts are going to steamroll the Habs. I'm sure they'll repeat many times how Montreal can't score without a word to the fact that TB scored just as many on a per game basis. Can we play a reverse drinking game for when they don't mention that Stamkos has been pretty invisible with no goals (but actually tons of PIMs)?
ReplyDeleteGO HABS GO!
Nooooo the Biship now our cross to bear. People of Montreal lock up your little kids the boogyman is comming to town.
ReplyDeleteHow to fix the pp. Basicly a floating trapizoid with the null corner in flux until Patches materializes and snaps it top cheese. Reapeat for 12 games.
No more Patches its now Mad Max!
ReplyDeleteWelp, the SFU's will get to cheer for their "blue and white" and will now be able to latch onto Stamkos' dick. The anti-Habs rhetoric will tuned up another notch. Montreal won't score a goal let alone win a game. Tampa is INVINCIBLE!
ReplyDelete*mute*
the most interesting discussion about hockey I have heard recently is rating Echiel as a second pick against Stamkow, et all. Buffalo should be embarrassed for puttin this kid down in the opinion of the gallery.
Delete.
ReplyDeleteIf only Wings didn't miss an empty net when Bishop went way out to the hash marks and scored in the 2nd....
ReplyDeleteThey had loads of chances, but didn't bury them. Heck, I thought they had game 4 locked up.
DeleteBolts ... fuck.
ReplyDeleteWe need the Alien to come and take care of another Bishop.
Go Habs
no we need the justice system to come in and expose the Gay super soldiers that support his tenure in net.
DeleteABOUT 24 HOURS PEOPLE!!!!
ReplyDelete12 for Sexy Friday!
DeleteI swear I didn't know the 2nd round started tonight, I thought it was tomorrow. My head is up my ass apparently
ReplyDeleteJust pulled mine out of mine.
Deletesnet is trying to find any/every angle to give the series to Tampa.
ReplyDeleteI heard a soundbite on 690 today, milbury actually said the Habs will win. What the hell's with that?
DeleteJust saw kidG on 'I Think That's Hockey" and I must say, he did us all proud.
ReplyDeleteHe was excellent. Future captain material
DeleteGo Wings er, Go Caps.
ReplyDeletesnet says NYR and WAS are good at and 'need to play these kind of 1-0, 2-1 type of games'. You, know, low-scoring playoff games. Go fucking figure.
ReplyDeleteI think it's obvious that the Habs have to come out flying in game 1. The Bolts will be tired, and also they kind of sucked on the road during the regular season (18-16-7). Would be nice to exploit all this right away.
ReplyDeleteWard gets the gwg with 1.5 secs left in regulation, AV goes on a rant screaming there should have been a penalty just prior for a hit on a Rag, but it was legal according to Auger. AV is just like Julien minus some facial expressions.
ReplyDeleteAV was just as bad as Julien in marking the Habs as divers.
DeleteThat is all to say, Wooo! Caps!
DeleteWell, I just watched it, and the only penalty that should have been called was against the Rangers for tripping Ovie. Man, that guy is truly amazing. Goes in one on four, gets tripped, still makes it happen. I want the Caps to win, but Ovie is scary.
DeleteWow Cakes gets six goals in a 6 to 0 win over Calgary.
ReplyDeleteRISE AND SHINE PEOPLE IT'S GAME DAY
ReplyDeleteOh look steve is up too hi steve!
ReplyDeletehi 29, you have to get up early if you want to save the world.
