Bullet points for what you missed while dreaming of 4/20. Wait, what? It's today? Duuude...
- Thank god for that
CameronRaphael Diaz trade! Dale Weise. Dale Fucking Weise! Clobber us all you went Sens it doesn't matter we've got Dale Weise. He's all the offense we need apparently. We're certainly never scoring on the PP again in my lifetime. CHip sip scores the tying goal and "controversial" OT winner. The half-half jersey now has a 3-0 series lead; - Our game was nothing on the chipiness scale compared to the Flames-Nucks game, won by the Flames to take a 2-1 series lead;
- Tavares gets the OT winner for the Isles who take a 2-1 series lead;
- With Pekka Rinne very average and Shea Weber injured the Preds have no chance, even facing some random rookie goalie. Hawks win 4-2 to take a 2-1 series lead there;
- Hey did you notice only one team has a 3-0 lead?
- Give the ESPN headline writers credit: Oilers rewarded for years of ineptitude with another No. 1 pick.
~~~
Thank you Torts for being oblivious to Weise's talent.
ReplyDeleteOh and microfracture my ass. Stone got that from dreaming of a lapdance at Wandas...what would the cockroaches be saying if it had been say Mark Giordano or Duncan Keith instead of PFK.
1) Fuck off, that's Dale's wife? He's Gretzky in more ways than one, apparently.
ReplyDelete2) Today was 4/20 for me, but I live in a repressive police state (in regards to drug laws) and have to take multiple drug tests every year*. I just ate a tub of ice cream in honour of the munchies, though.
*That's why Thailand was invented and I have other stories I'm not going to type here. See also: repressive police state, internet surveillance.
3) But yesterday (game day for you guys) was my nephew/godson's 4th birthday which was good luck, I guess. My dad got him his first skateboard. This same man who refused to allow me to have a bicycle until I was 12. Not bitter at all!
4) TSN (and others) really trying to push the theory that Prust touched the puck with his hand. Yet they completely ignored the crosscheck to PK's face that led to the first goal. Let's say both happened (which clearly is false, but bear with me). Which one do you think had more to do with the goal that followed?
5) WE HAVE TO NOW WAIT TWO WHOLE DAYS FOR THE NEXT GAME!!!
6) Please don't take your feet off the gas, Habbies. Just get 'er done. Don't give Cinderella another pumpkin.
7) Matt Stone is a faker. There, I just had to get that out of my system because I've been trying to stay classy with everyone else I talk to about hockey and not directly call into question someone's injury. But for the love of Price, it's really obvious, isn't it? I'm not saying it's not sore, but everytime there's a camera near him he winces and holds his wrist. I've never seen anyone with a real injury do that before, have you? Like, I don't see Patches grab his head or Vodkov grab his ankle. That's not something professional athletes do, right? I'm not crazy here, am I?
8) Nice TMS! Nice to have this community to share my anxieties and conspiracy theories. It's a safe place.
9) GO HABS GO!
Bong up job 29!
ReplyDeleteGYFHG!
Well, good ol' tsn has really hit the bottom of the barrel. First, they obviously love the Flames/Canucks more as they are always the lead story and second they have descended to name calling, referring to Dale Weise as a Fairy. They are truly despicable people. I'd sue if I was Dale. Over to you 29.
ReplyDeleteIATG and agreed that Chip should find himself a great internet lawyer type dude.
DeleteI've deleted their web page from my bookmarks. They think they are funny and clever but in reality they are nothing but bitter leafools who have had nothing go their way lately and richly deserve all their miserable fate. Fuck em.
DeleteI check their main page once in a while, for shits and giggles. If you really want a laff see snet's jeff blair whine about why the NHL should've fixed the Draft to favour their leaf. Ignorant/arrogant SFU.
DeleteI did. I knew you'd be all over that piece of nonsense. I have to laugh at all this "McDavid" is the saviour BS. They don't get it, he's an 18 year old kid going to a team well steeped in a losing atmosphere, with no defence and no goaltending. All those high draft picks are entitled and believe all they have to do is show up to win, no effort required. It's the blind leading the blind out in Oilerville. McD would have had a more noticeable effect in the cotu perhaps but also another lost cause. I wouldn't trade Price straight up for McD.
DeleteWOW
ReplyDeleteFairy Dale ...
WOW
Blathering idiots.
Go Habs
I don't believe the UK celebrates or even recognises 4/20 - but who cares...smoke 'em if you got 'em I always say!!
ReplyDeleteHoly crap, brawl in the stands between Sens & Habs fans, one jerk even pushes a woman to the ground.
The fucking jerk is actually a Sens fan, I just noticed he pulled off his jersey first.
DeleteWonderful TMS and good feeling that even the craziest coach in the world is not going to lose this series. BTW did Turdkessel superstar win the game for the turds, from what I heard on the air last night that was the only possible outcome.
ReplyDeleteThe hnic crew went down after the game and all took turns fellating him. Even when the Turds are eventually eliminated, they will still be saying turdkessel > PFK.
DeleteIf they did rankings during the playoffs, the 3-0 Habs would probably be at around 9th of the 16 teams.
ReplyDeleteFor any 4/20ers, if your teevee looks all white tonight, it isn't you or your vape pen.
Oh look, brownies!
That high? The rankings I mean.
DeleteHeh, I typed 'around 9th', which could mean 13th because all the Habs have is TFS.
DeleteLast night I watched the first period live then had to go to bed at it was approaching 1 am and I had work this morning. I have now watched the rest of the game on gamecentre and I was really surprised at a few things. Firstly last night I etched TVA. Today I watched the English feed. I was surprised by intensity level difference between the 1st period and the third. Turds were hitting any hab that moved for 20 minutes then it slowly decreased to the point in the third where they were slmost unrecognisable. The English commentators (hughson?) continued to go on and on about how stone was injured and had no shot. He also would completely stop talking any time any turd player tripped, hooked, punched, pulled or generally beat upon a hab. It was pretty hard to watch and say what you will about TVA it was a hell of a lot better than the English language broadcast.
ReplyDeletegreat effort again last night by the team! Chip to the rescue once again. Anyone surprised the pp went 0-6? I am not...it has Been the same all year. But I like the look of it more when DSP is on the ice.
romanuk (aka romanfuk) and johnson.
Deletehuge son and simpleton are doing the VAN/CAL series.
Mrs Chester for some unknown reason decided she was going to watch the game on Sunday and therefore it must be in English as she doesn't parlay.
DeleteI had to get up and leave in the second it was pissing me off too much.
I hope Pateryn crushes karlson.
Go Habs
"
ReplyDeleteTo his left, more popular still, was Dale Weise, the two-goal story of the game, to be followed there by goaltending pillar Carey Price; at his back, across the room, was Max Pacioretty.
Wearing long johns and a beard, Canadiens defenceman Andrei Markov slowly unbuckled a knee brace and hung it in his stall. The device is the only reminder of his two forever-ago knee surgeries for which he was absurdly written off by many."
http://montrealgazette.com/sports/hockey/nhl/montreal-canadiens/stubbs-ageless-markov-a-key-to-habs-first-round-success
I actually have found the commentary generally even, or at least not unbelievably, aggressively, profanely anti-Habs which is their normal state of being. They do love Price, at least. It's funny, if you go to the Sens pages they complain all game that they're anti-Sens and in love with the Habs. I know most Sens fans have only been watching hockey since February, but they say that most of the HNIC is from Montreal and they hate Ottawa because of the 'rivalry'. It's adorable that they think we have a rivalry. They get made because they haven't outright said that Karlsson should get the Norris, "They say Price is the Vezina winner, but won't say Karlsson is the Norris winner. Habs lovers!". It's interesting, because most of the time if both sides have an issue then the truth is somewhere in the middle. But they're just delusional inferiority complex weirdos. You think guys like Cherry, Gally, Healey, will suddenly change their tunes after 20-30 years of hating the Habs and suddenly start loving them?
ReplyDeleteLike I said, I think it's not so bad (not great) and most of these Sens 'fans' are new to the whole thing. But man. Delusional. I still can't believe that a d-man can win the Norris without any PK time.
Fun fact:
ReplyDeleteHabs have the same amount of playoff wins in the last 6 days as the leaf has in the last 11 years.
Hope you don't mind if I 'borrowed' that.
DeleteBig Buff pretty dirty hit from behind after Perry scores. Hate him more for making me defend Perry.
Oh MY GOD - what will Canadian hockey fans do if there are no longer any Canadian teams in the playoffs!!!???...oh wait - the Montreal CANADIENS should be in the second round...but let's not root too hard for them just yet...
DeleteLove 'em or hate 'em, also don't forget the CANUCKS.
DeleteCHip sits 5th in franCHise for playoff OT goals, though I am not sure if they mean GWG's. Here's the table.
- Nathan Beaulieu will miss the rest of the series against the Sens after suffering an upper body injury on a hit from Erik Karlsson during the second period on Sunday.
ReplyDelete- Head coach Michel Therrien confirmed following practice that Greg Pateryn will take Beaulieu’s spot in the lineup for Game 4.
ReplyDeleteI hope it drains them and they have to partner with someone, like say tsn/rds. This is and will be hurtful karma for owning the leaf and jamming them down our throats. Eat shit and die SFU.
DeleteThe only thing Rogers will do is up the cost of their services. Bend over.
DeleteI pay nothing, not one cent, to rogers, even on my 17 year old Fido cell contract. I even made sure their (Fido) servers, weren't connected to the filth that is rogers. So far, I'm clean.
DeleteTo me, they, rogers, represent what toronto is, ignorant, arrogant, hated, money-grubbing, low-to-no-culture fools that think the ROC means squat. Fuck off rogers.
Unfortunately I was forced to subscribe to Rogers. Here's the sad story. I had been with BellAliant for several years but was tired of paying huge dollars for my bundle. I decided to switch to a Rogers bundle for substantially less and when I called to make the switch I received a notice from Aliant offering me a reduced rate but it wasn't enough. Then, one day I got a phone call and Aliant offered to match the Rogers bundle guaranteed for three years so I accepted and cancelled the switch. Within 4 months I got a notice from Aliant telling me the cost of the bundle would be going up a few dollars. I called to complain but was told it was an across the board increase for everyone. I let it go...until I received another increase notice in January. I called Aliant again and asked "what part of guarantee don't you understand?" The person I was speaking to said it was an across the board increase for everyone. I said I don't care I want what was agreed to. The person said sorry, no deal so I said I'm discontinuing my service and good-bye. So here I am forced into the arms of the enemy, so to speak. The one silver lining is Rogers does have a local channel with community programming Mrs. Maritimer enjoys so I'm OK with it. Oh, and it is less expensive so I'm saving a few bucks.
ReplyDeleteexcellent idea on the extended highlights post OT. my first impression were highlights from past glorious OT triumphs! hahahhahahha....
just thinking outside the box (and hugely unpopular), but how about giving toker the start tn? it is 4/20 and he does need to play huh? what better time than to do it up 3-0? not hoping carey gets injured, but it's at least another chance for toker to win back some confidence from a bad yr.
thoughts??? or am i still suffering from ptsd (pot toking stress delusion)?
No need to give the sens any kind of glimmer of hope. Bury them in 4.
DeleteI concur moe, bury these fuckers and then the Habs can move on and be the underdogs in the next series they play against a lower ranked opponent. SFU!!
DeleteAs CHip said, 'we need to step on their throats"
ReplyDeleteIs it tomorrow night yet?
ReplyDeleteSince Game 4 will take place on Earth Day, I have a very easy header for the game thread:
ReplyDeleteHabs Take out the Trash
I am watching the Raptors and rooting for them. I apologize
ReplyDeleteBy the way, the rationales for the hit on N8 are pretty ridiculous. "It was a headshot, but a legal headshot". I don't know the intricacies of the rules that well, but if there is such a thing as a legal headshot, then what's the point of any of it? But what I do know for sure is if it was PK who delivered that hit to Sen player, it would be the worst hit in the history of the NHL and a probable suspension.
ReplyDelete"legal headshot"??? the fuck? those only exist against Habs apparently
Deletemeanwhile what does it take to get GonCH sip in the line up? Why did we even get him?
DeleteI think we'll see him down the line. I have no problem with Plaid for game 4. Be a little more physical. You know if the Sens go down by a couple they'll go head/knee/Price hunting. Ottawa isn't exactly known for their class.
DeleteDetroit just scored a very pretty goal. 2-0.
ReplyDeleteMy god they're desperate. 8 entertaining series going on and they still can't stop talking about the leaf.
DeleteThis was actually kind of funny for we leaf bashers. Shows just how stupid their management was/is. Seems like there is a black cloud hovering over that organization, I hope it remains firmly in place.
DeleteSo I'm just catching up on this story about the two young women who were "harassed" at the Bell Centre during Game 2.
ReplyDeletehttp://ottawacitizen.com/sports/hockey/nhl/senators-extra/senators-offer-private-suite-canadians-apologize-after-fans-harassed
I don't know what happened, there are idiots everywhere. But it's a little interesting that they were the only Senator fans to get this treatment. I saw a few Sens fans (jerseys and all) in the stands, not just this game but G1 too. And all the other years, there hasn't been any major complaints. I've been to the Bell Centre (admittedly not during the playoffs) and never saw a fan of the opposing team 'harassed'. A word here and there, sure, but that's to be expected. They say they couldn't find security and/or they were unhelpful. Every time I've gone security is everywhere and friendly. They even made the guy next to us put away his anti-Marty sign last time I went.
When the Habs' playoff partner was still up in the air I said I didn't really want Boston or Ottawa not because I didn't think the Habs could beat them, but because I'd rather have a hockey series than a drawn out soap opera. This sort of thing is what I meant. The Sens organization has tried to do everything except win the game on the ice. It's so tiresome. Maybe these girls were 'harassed', I don't know. But there's lots of reports of chants and other words from a 1940s lynching directed at PK during G3 in Ottawa. And that was more than just a couple of drunks.
Can't wait to be rid of these drama queens.
Did you see this brawl at the CTC Posted upthread? Sens jerk, pushed a woman down, ends up in cuffs.
Deletehttps://www.youtube.com/watch?t=44&v=qfdv7hf5pJI
I also find the "security wasn't present or helpful" business quite fishy. Having been to the Bell many many many times, security is everywhere and very willing to stick their nose in everything. If anything it's heightened in the playoffs
