Nice work, moe.
ReplyDelete"Leo Komarov appeared in court in Finland this morning to address two speeding fines and the circumstances of his reported income at the time they were issued.
ReplyDeleteKomarov was caught speeding twice in the summer of 2014: the first time he was clocked at 77kp/h in a 50kp/h zone, and the second time he was monitored going 131kp/h in a 100kp/h zone.
The big question was about his income. Traffic fines in Finland are based on your income. While Komarov admitted he was a professional hockey player, he ultimately reported an income of "€0.00" Komarov reportedly claimed it was correct to say his income was zero as players technically aren't paid through the summer.
The prosecutor pointed out that both speeding incidents happened after Komarov signed a four year contract with a US$2.95M AAV in July."
Did he really think he could get away with declaring zero income?
Gonna cost him $40K
DeleteNice work as always moe!
ReplyDeleteMontreal was beautiful as usual, but it was stupid hot so I didn't get to do half of what I wanted. My cousin owns a restaurant by the Bell Centre so I hung out there most of my time. Got to see Scherbak there one night. He's big, can't wait to see him on the ice. Just can't wait for the season to start in general. Go Habs Go!
Did you happen to visit the Canadiens HHOF? They're closing it end of August apparently and admittance is free.
DeleteSee pic #29
DeleteNo, I didn't go. I was unaware of this information. I was staying right next to the Bell Center, too! On a related note, I have to say I hate the condos and whatnot going up around there. It's really closing in the area and dwarfing what should be the standout building. Very sad, but as my dad told me, "Statues don't pay rent".
Delete""Winning the Stanley Cup is my priority and I haven't done that yet, so that's what keeps me driven," Price told NHL.com during a recent fundraising event near his offseason home in British Columbia."

ReplyDeleteNice ones moe! Good news is my week off has been fantastic weather-wise. Bad news is my vacations are almost without fail usually crappy weather, so my intent was to do landscaping and renos this week. The heat and humidity have slowed my progress immensely, but hey wtf, it's time away from the office. Watched the Price is Right for the first time in ages. Did you know they now have male models...very progressive. Also Drew Carey is very sarcastic. Also binge watched the first season of Killjoys yesterday/night. It's an average sci-fi series. Kind of thing that makes me think it will keep on going while the likes of Firefly was cancelled after one season...
ReplyDelete\
\ANyway, i hear the leafs are coming to Halifax to practice for a few days. Got the tomatoes rotting on the counter as we speak.
second your opinon on Killjoys although it takes 3 episodes to really hook you. If you like that try the Strain, the best SF on tv today.
DeleteLas Vegas, Nev. Colorado vs. Los Angeles, Oct. 3
ReplyDeleteGo figure.
Colorado, LA,..hmm in Vegas...hmm wonder if there's a subliminal bettman message in there somewhere, like, say maybe, forget the 'Avandiques', we're expanding to LV. I get the feeling he and his buddies at BOG are having a private laugh while thanking one of the bidders for the non-refundable$.
DeleteTotal Recall
ReplyDeleteIts a living thing for those who love a good older stone.
Just beware there is always a Snowcrash after every award winning SF.
and my opionion pales behind the titans of today who approved this message.
Big Bird story. Also looks like he has fought off potential skin cancer!!!

DeleteGood news.
DeleteSpeak of the Devil, "The Nordiques have advanced to the third and what's expected to be final stage in their bid to return to Quebec City as an NHL expansion franchise."
ReplyDeleteGreetings everyone, I'll be glad to see the end of this hot humid weather. I'm ready for some cool hockey days.
ReplyDeleteJust think, Calgary had snow and were under a frost warning overnight.
DeleteThere isn't a hockey article on any website that isn't infiltrated with scumbag leafools. These sick fuckers know their piece of shit team will be shit for years to come. They will spew their sick shit everywhere they can because they have nothing else.
ReplyDeleteLate to the party again - But Nice ones all 'round Moeman. Good news for Larry as well. And I love that he's been married for 45 years! A true legend!
ReplyDeleteThe Russian Hockey Federation (RHF) has been fined for the national team's actions at the World Hockey Championship in May.
ReplyDeleteThe Russian team was fined 80,000 Swiss francs (approximately $85,000 USD) by the IIHF on Monday for leaving the ice prior to the Canadian national anthem after Canada's 6-1 victory in the gold medal game.
The panel is of the opinion that the occurrences on the ice show that this is not a result of an unfortunate misunderstanding. The Russian players and officials left the ice after a short discussion between the Russian team captain and some Russian officials and the unmistakable head gesture of the captain. It was also noted that the Russian team and management should have been aware of the postgame/victory and closing ceremony procedure because of their vast experience with IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships. The open gate was irrelevant.
Steve is wonderful can you get him to post more often:) I am guessing Putin is giving Harpo the finger
ReplyDeletewho is this guy, can we make him a regular contributor, cause he is full of wisdom
DeleteWow.

Finally, the Habs will not be closing the season vs the leaf, Bolts will be here instead. Go Habs Go!!
ReplyDeleteThe NHL has finally woken up to the fact the leaf are irrelevant and will be for some time. They (leaf) provide nothing to any playoff aspects so why involve them?
DeleteThere was a fucking beaner on the streets of Montreal doing a Max burger thing.
ReplyDeleteHow original.
Mindless no minds.
Fuck them.
Go Habs.
Is that where Talbot interviewed people on St Catherine?

ReplyDeleteI am suddenly having the time of my life, god damm the GSM for making me hope once again
ReplyDeleteWhy am I ranting about LEGO at this late hour, Cause I am sick and tiired of the SYSTEM or the MAN determining
ReplyDeletemetorocraciy thats why, and LEGO is a case in point. If he gets his due, there is hope I will get mine, or any citizen who wants to be self actualized with promise based upon full injection at the site.
The SYSTEM is ALL.
DeleteYou will be assimilated. Resistance is futile.
So another leaf hack on the Toronto Sports Network has put forward the question of who the greatest goalie in the league is. And SURPRISE! it ain't Price. Using the very strict and narrow stats that Yost chooses to use and stretching out the sample enough to water down Price's numbers, he determines that TFS is simply unreliable. Funny how you get the conclusion you want when you manipulate the data so thoroughly.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't even matter, really, except for the fact that the article was only written in order to discredit Carey and the Habs. Ask any GM what goalie he'd choose to start next season and see what the consensus is. Do these guys just sit around and think of ways to either: a) pump up their terrible leaf or; b) dump on the Habs. There's 30 teams, lots to talk about if you aren't short sighted.
This is their SFUel for the leafools, who repeat it ad nauseum all over the web. These sick fucks are so envious and jealous of the Habs that has become its own self-fulfilling joke. GMs and players alike have voted TFS™ to be the best at his position and in the pro game. Scumbags like yost get paid to be stupid. No wonder the leafools love pinheads like him and his SFU ilk.
DeleteGreat reply moe. The hammer hit the nail dead on.
