"There's a slightly different defensive structure to their game in terms of how they track back, how they skate you down," Maurice said. "They don't give you a whole lot off the rush; very, very few odd-man rushes, if any. And they can do it going the other way, they can use that speed for the attack, straight lines and get to the net. A really strong skating hockey team. This is a really good defensive team as well."
I was reading the star this mornng. The story was about the leafs that will stick around for the rebound. Its good to know the Princess Pylon is thriving underbabkook. Dion is back. Look out hocky world.
I think, that before we start reading our reviews with too much seriousness, we wait and see how this latest homestand works out. There are some tough games ahead of us. The Sens are playing well and the b's are on a roll since their shit start - so it won't be the same team we played at the beginning of the streak. There is no doubt that this is a better team than last year but they ain't won shit yet. Condon is playing well but we have to look at it one game at a time. Patches has been off his game and will need to improve. MT has to have faith in his 4 lines and not bench Lego at the first sign of trouble. And he needs to figure out how to get Tn Tin and Plaid into the lineup - before he needs them because someone gets injured. Above all - One game at a time boys! GYFHG!!
And hey - If you get a chance, go see the new James Bond film when it comes out. I haven't seen a JB film in the theatre since Moonraker - but this one was awesome. My son took me to see it. A very good story for a change, loads of typical James Bond actioneye candy for all - overall I'll give it 4/5
Just listened to the explanation on the NHL site. What a load of shit. Complete opposite to what they then said stone did to get suspended. Watch the one after the other and try not to laugh...or cry...fucking bush league!
14 day conditioning stint, doesn't have to clear waivers. TinTin will be next. The fried-man says their are teams looking for defencemen, I'm sure MB is fielding calls for both.
Chicago Blackhawks - 9/1 Montreal Canadiens - 9/1 Dallas Stars - 10/1 New York Rangers - 10/1 Washington Capitals - 11/1 Los Angeles Kings - 12/1 St. Louis Blues - 12/1 Tampa Bay Lightning - 12/1 Minnesota Wild - 14/1 Pittsburgh Penguins - 14/1 Anaheim Ducks - 20/1 Nashville Predators- 20/1 New York Islanders - 20/1 San Jose Sharks - 20/1 Boston Bruins - 28/1 Winnipeg Jets - 28/1 Detroit Red Wings - 33/1 Vancouver Canucks - 33/1 Florida Panthers - 40/1 Ottawa Senators - 50/1 Philadelphia Flyers - 50/1 Calgary Flames - 66/1 Columbus Blue Jackets - 66/1 Edmonton Oilers - 66/1 Arizona Coyotes - 75/1 New Jersey Devils - 75/1 Buffalo Sabres - 150/1 Carolina Hurricanes - 150/1 Colorado Avalanche - 200/1 Toronto Maple Leafs - 200/1

Made an old favourite, a deliciously greasy hot roast beef sandwich with caramelized onions, An hour over a hot stove for those babies, but it's worth it. St Ambroise oak-aged pale ale, a recent delicious find
An hour north of the 514 but Bell won't seem to give me City-Montreal. I do have Ottawa-Mtl on the sched for TSN5, but I am guessing it will be blacked out. Because I am in "Montreal"
Turns out SNEast is showing the game after all. I've grown to rather enjoy the Bartlett/York duo. They call a very well balanced game, and whether or not Jason York (he was a Sen wasn't he?) is a Habs 'fan', he at the very least isn't one of the SFU and calls it like it is.

Also, the league can shove that 3 on 3 up their asses.
Looks like we are getting a new Canadian government that truly reflects what Canada is truly about.

Prime Minister Trudeau had his ceremony lead by a young drummer, then young singers and closed with young dancers, all of aboriginal roots. Man does this make a statement or what!
I truly hope Mr. Trudeau lives up to your expectations. As for this old baby boomer, I have been waiting for someone from Gen X to get into a position of power and see if they will truly try to change how things are done. As a pensioner, it will be interesting to see if our lives get any better with this new government or if austerity is still the order of the day. Forgive me if I don't hold my breath.
Habs playing well and leading the league. leaf in last on many, many fronts New PM is a Habs fan. Our own 29 helped make this happen. Glorious time to be a Canadian and a Canadiens fan.

Quick turnaorund with the rankings this week, but that doesn't mean things haven't changed. While the Montreal Canadiens remain the cream of the crop, the Los Angeles Kings are coming.
1. Montreal Canadiens (Last Week: 1)
"I don't like losing," Mike Condon said. He's going to fit in well in Montreal. And get well soon, Carey Price.
Haha, stupid fucking leaf give up the go ahead goal with 2 minutes left then Bozo misses a wide open net. Should be bigger for sure. That'll help that pathetic team.
Wow, Princess Pylon is a real classless POS. Jets score an empty netter and he fires the puck off the ankle of one of the Jets players. That's their captain. Fucking sad.
3 - reimer has serious goalie skills, could be worth a lot in a trade 2 - kadri is the NHL's best at drawing penalties, this is an underrated skill 1 - reilly 'has been stopping all opponent #1 lines', with his skill
0 - leaf lost again whilst Babs skillfully covered his mouth, mouthing some kind of leaf genius coaching secret
3 - Condom is better than Reimer 2 - If kidG(A) was wearing a leaf jersey he would draw twice as many penalties for being brave 1 - Vodkov is leading the ENTIRE league in +/-
0 - MT wins a lot 'cause he has a secret weapon --- Chokula's notebook
Oh my fuck! I just went over to the G&M to read about the latest "moral victory" for their leaf and there is not even a mention of last night's game. Zero, zip, nada. Too fucking funny!
This from Paul Maurice about Canadiens:
ReplyDelete"There's a slightly different defensive structure to their game in terms of how they track back, how they skate you down," Maurice said. And they can do it going the other way, they can use that speed for the attack, straight lines and get to the net. A really strong skating hockey team. This is a really good defensive team as well."
Shove that up your blue and white ass Cullen.
Too funny how his #1 ranking got punked by his putrid leaf.

we have 3 second lines, which one?
DeleteActually it's 4 third lines talent wise. Max has sucked lately and PleXXXe has been a turnover machine.
DeleteIt's a long season.
Another shill job for Side Show Babs.
ReplyDeleteNo suspension for Buffoon. Guess he will behave vs the laffs.
ReplyDeleteJust listened to the explanation on the NHL site. What a load of shit. Complete opposite to what they then said stone did to get suspended. Watch the one after the other and try not to laugh...or cry...fucking bush league!
DeleteRight after The View From Nebraska slobbered all over how clean and exciting the league is now.
DeleteGo Habs
Plaid going to the AHL, guy needs some games.

Wonder how much that cost on the down low? More than 20¢ I'd wager.
DeleteThis was the saddest news today.
Delete"The woman has told authorities that the high-profile investigation has caused tremendous stress for her and her family, and that she no longer wishes to participate"
that's just terrible
Looks like we get the "Sens on TSN" broadcast on TSN5. I wonder if we do or if it's blacked out (for some strange money related fucking reason)?
ReplyDeleteugh, Tonight' refs are Chris Lee and Garrett Rank (who has 10 games under his belt)
ReplyDeleteEvening kids! Yours truly has escaped to the family cottage for a week of post-election R and R. I'm raring to go tonight though. Die Sens Die!
