CHalom kids! 4HF's resident atheist Jew HF29 is in da CHul to light some candles and give moeman a holiday break. And he needs a break from the Habs' suckiness. And I need a drink because of the Habs' suckiness. So that works out well! But really the Habs are terrible, so we'll just focus on this fine Jewish holiday and remember the glory years when the Habs had half the NHL Jews in Squid and Jeff Halpern. Now we've got no one. I had high hopes for Yeast, such a fine Jewish name (except around Passover), but alas 'twas not to be. It's obvious the lack of Jews on the team is responsible for the 4-game losing streak. Oy gevalt.
But a losing streak has to end sooner or later, right? Might as well be tonight. So light a candle or eight and say a prayer and grab a drink and some foods fried in oil and look at some photos of attractive Jewish people. GYFHG.
~~~
Holy Fuck Batmann, Canada has its first Jewish PM. Good one 29! Go Habs Go, I should be here for the game.
ReplyDeleteNice work HF29.
ReplyDeleteGYMFHG!
Happy CHanukkah to all of the faith.
ReplyDeleteThanks and good stuff, literally, 29. Do you have to drink a bottle a day?!
ReplyDeleteHappy CHanukkah and GYFHG!
Great stuff 29, holy fuck I did not know Scarlet was Jewish! Oy Vey!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have a drink but after a month of fighting a cold/bacterial infection I finally gave up and went to the doctor and am now on antibiotics that are actually making me feel worse. I'll take it though if I can get better.
Go You Fucking Habs Go! End this shitty losing streak tonight! Although, if Craig Anderson is in net for the Turds I don't like the Habs chances.
This is for moe:
ReplyDeleteSo the lowly Oilers hung a touchdown on the Rags last night and they responded with a 5 spot. Twelve (12) goals in one game. So, does the Almighty Sideshow think the nets should be bigger so his fucking sad sack leaf can score more? What a fucking joke that outfit is. I wonder if buttman gets sick of all the whining that comes out of that dump.
I read that article in the G&M yesterday about the falling ratings for Rogers and the leaf. Some of the comments were interesting, especially about the poor Rogers/hnic production and presentation. It is bad and the on air personalities are poor as well. One commenter said Strombo should vacate the hnic host chair for the CBC Radio gig that Gion Gomeshi fell out of. That's actually a good idea as I don't find Shad that good, Strombo would be perfect for it. Sadly George is out of his element on hnic, the hipster look isn't working and he really doesn't interact that well with the hockey people. I almost wish McLame would return to that spot (without the leaf cheerleading). I wonder if the NHL and buttman could pull the rights away from Rogers if the ratings sink to low? The best solution, in my opinion, would be to divide the rights up equally between CBC, TSN and SportsNet. Crazy idea but it just might work,
Yeah saw that article. hnic fed the country leaf for decades and now their leaf partner snet is reaping the losses. I doubt a leafool like mclame would turncoat on his team. The NHL rights deal is signed and I doubt fuckface bettman gives a shit as his money is guaranteed but yeah divvy it up but no CBC. I'd give tsn the option of 29 teams minus one, snet can keep their leaf. I think tsn would balk at the offer.
DeleteWow! Talk about unmitigated gall. Some genius reporter at the sanctimonious leaf lovin' Hab hatin' G&M writes that the the 1980's Oilers created by Glen Slats Sather are the greatest dynasty of all time. What utter fucking drivel. I can't even respond.
ReplyDeleteOiler hack, almost as bad as all the leafools.
DeleteSo, you have a Wings-drafted ref officiating a Wings / Habs game...can you imagine if a Hab pushed a ref that game? yet Nolan did it last night and didn't even get a penalty. The officiating in this league is a farce.
ReplyDeletePhat Phi just killed another coach.
ReplyDeleteSid probably told Mario - get rid of this guy or I am out of here.
DeleteThey need to break up that team and send the good parts to the Habs
DeleteDGMB needs to CHannel some Sam Pollock.
DeleteThis guy needs the fucking shit beat right out of him...and that would be too good for him. You need a licence for just about everything except having a kid.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.theplayerstribune.com/patrick-osullivan-nhl-abuse/
Here's hoping the Toker puts in a strong effort tonight, I am pulling for him. The Habs are over due for a break or two. Time for the so called leaders on this team to step up.
ReplyDeleteI still say the Habs need to upgrade at center to be true contenders.
Laffs lunch talking to Hickey mentioned something about N8, I had no idea what they were referring to but here's a video some girls posted (get past the screams). Well it was his birthday.
Thx for all your kudos kidz. It's candle-lighting time! GYFHG
ReplyDeleteBeen slow-cooking baked beans from scratch all day. Plenty of bacon for Hanukkah in there. Trying to figure out what to actually serve them with, but I'm guessing because I am running out of time I will just eat the beans for dinner. With beer.
ReplyDeleteNothing like some good bread with those beans.
DeleteBreakfast sausage.
DeleteFilet-mignon, kernel corn, potatoes.
ReplyDeleteNice to have the appetite back!
DeleteAmazing crispy Gochujang CHicken wings with an Aussie Chard.
ReplyDeletescott oak is thick.
ReplyDeleteI have the hnic preview show on... with the mute button on. I'm sure those SFUckers have nothing good to say about the Habs so I'm not listening. Plus, I didn't care what "empty" had to say either.
ReplyDeleteWatching RDS' Sam Pollock ultimate trades show. #2 was stealing Dryden from da broons, #1 were the California moves to then snag Guy Lafleur as the Habs #1.
DeleteThose... were... the days my friend, we thought they'd never end...
Delete... but they did ...
DeleteNow a tribute to Glen Sather, builder of the "greatest dynasty ever"? Fuck him.
ReplyDeleteFrom 1956 to 1979, a 23 year span, The Canadiens won 15 Stanley Cups. Fuck the Oilers and the hack that wrote that shit article.
No one denies that the Oilers had some great years but there is no comparison, unless of course there is some bias.
DeleteAbsolutely. In a pre salary cap era with one of the most powerful offenses of all time the Oilers managed to win two cups in a row twice. Not even close to 4 in a row or the now incomprehensible 5 in a row. Were they a dynasty? Yes. But the greatest of all time? Not even close. I would argue the Islanders from 1980-83 were better.
DeleteBTW, I do offer thanks to that Oilers team for breaking that string so they couldn't match the Habs record.
Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!! Go Habs Go!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDamn screen issues again.
ReplyDeleteRather never had a bad thing to say about Montreal and the Canadiens. He got his hockey start with the greatest hockey dynasty of all time.
ReplyDeleteSo why was it 'embarrassing' to send Spliff down for a refresh yet fucking overhyped as a 'confidence builder' for burn-yeah?
ReplyDeleteleafool logic?
DeleteRare snet viewing as I cannot stand tva.
ReplyDeleteNice fan singing!
ReplyDeleteTherrien - Carr was on the power play because he was effective and has the will to go in front of the net.
And what about that penalty kill when Plekanec broke his stick and busted his ass to stay in the play effectively. He blocked shots. He wouldn't be denied.
ReplyDeletehttp://montreal.ctvnews.ca/call-of-the-wilde-habs-back-in-win-column-as-leaders-step-up-1.2698291
Yay!
ReplyDeleteMy god they looked good in the 1st. I remember a quote, I think from Ovie, about Team Canada vs Team Russia at the 2010 Olympics. "They were like gorillas coming out of a cage". That popped into my mind during that period today.
Then they kind of took their foot off the gas. But the Sens were able to get things going in the 3rd because the refs let them get away with murder. Is interference not a thing anymore? How about slewfooting? Roughing it up after every whistle?
You know how I know the SNET guys don't watch Habs games? Because after putting down their Sens pompoms long enough to squeal over them running Toker all night they said the first time anyone touches Price they get called. hahahahahahahahahahaha. Yeah, that'd be nice.
Toker was strong, me likey.
GO HABS GO!
Don't know if this has been brought up before, but here's a gif of the broons playing an entire shift with 6 skaters the other night:
ReplyDeletehttps://i.imgur.com/T4kdZxe.gifv
This isn't a foibled line change. Count the white shirts after the Habs' shot.
Incompetence or bias, either way if you can't or won't count to 6 you shouldn't be an NHL official.
Sorry, sorry. That should read, "shouldn't be a professional official". Being an NHL official is fine.
DeleteLike I said last night, so happy for Toker. I always liked him, he's a battler for a smaller guy. I hope the coach runs with him for a while.
ReplyDeleteI did not want to rain of the first day of Hanukkah but counciler you were guitly of a serious ommision when it comes to beautiful Jews.
ReplyDeleteNice win.
ReplyDeleteGood thing that first period went the way it did...I didn't think Spliff looked all that confident in the early going (other than that fantastic save). Looked a little nervous. So in the end it was a hell of a team win cuz the boys did what they did in the first. Without that 2nd goal in the first, I'm not so sure we'd be talking about a victory today.
N8 is a beast and should never sit again.
I like to think I had a little hand in this win...for the first time in years I decided to buy a proline and bet on the Sens, guaranteeing a Habs win. I never bet on the Habs.
Nice win.
Have ever mentioned watching sat feed on Kodi using Phoniex add on. Well you cant do it on an adroid device. My Android box went all Steve on me. So I had to downlowd a new version of Kodi. It was painless. You can still watch Sportsdevil on android and it can be HD but no guarantee.
Funny how the SFUckers aren't front page posting the leafarmarlies loss today, 5-4 where burn-yeah gave up 5 goals to a bunch of AHLers. Bonus, Jordan Subban, a Dman, was 1G1A+3. Their Swedish Pixie was also 1G1A but -2. I have a feeling burn-yeah will never play for Team Canada, even with Side Show Babs at the helm.
ReplyDeleteI think Habs pick Noah Juulsen made the World Junior squad. I wonder if he will get mentioned as often as Midget Marner?
ReplyDeleteMy guess is no.
DeleteI just realized ... With the addition of Charles Hudon the the team, the Canadiens now have two, count'em two, petit gars de chez nous.
ReplyDeleteKidA skated alone today and hit a few wrist shots, MitCH was in practice.
DeleteI don't think I've ever seen a Caps game where Holtby doesn't lose his helmet.
ReplyDeletelooks like Stinky is leaving Tampa, Pens as a rental and sign? I really could see Toronto, yeah he want to lose for another five years and retire a leaf
