Kudos to you moeman for bothering after the clusterfuck that was last night - I am really feeling completely deflated and have ZERO expectations of anything other than a close loss again tonight. I don't want to bring othewrs down with my negative feelings so I won't be commenting until there is something positive to say. Sorry guys but last night just killed something inside of me.
Now that I've calmed down, here's how I see it. MB wanted to have a choice in where to send Tinordi rather than lose him on the waiver wire, the Coyotes inquired about him beginning of the season but made no firm offer and the longer Tinordi sat, the more his value dropped. (thanks Therrien - you killed another one) I think MB wanted to find a home for Tinordi where he would actually play and not sit in the press-box, the Coyotes wanted to get rid of Scott instead of paying him to be in the AHL knowing the Habs could afford to do so since they were paying Tinordi to sit anyway. They basically traded a D for a D and Scott had to go with him. At first I was livid but now that I calmed down, I can see the logic behind it and MB gets some cap.
The more Tinordi was left to sit by Therrien, the lower his value got and the Yotes moved in this time insisting John Scott go along because they didn't want to pay him to play in the AHL AND because he refused their request not to attend the AS game It gave MB more control of his destination rather than putting him on waivers would have done where he would lose him for nothing and could have been picked up by a bottom feeder like the leafs for only minimal salary that he was earning. Though they would have had to let him play on the team if they did but he could have replaced Phaneuf. I wish Scott wasn't a Hab and I hope Therrien NEVER gets a say about calling him up EVER.
The sad part is, even if it's John Scott, and this was a way to keep him out, it is dirty and underhanded to try to block him from attending and a slap in the face to the fans who did vote. All this tells fans - once again - that the league only views us fans as a nuisance they have to deal with all the time - the same fans who pay the salaries are are the reason the league even exists.
I am just a little concerned with what the presence of a pissed off John Scott will do to the young impressionable guys in St. John's. Ghetto - and particularly Auto - will probably bring a bit of bitterness into the room right now too. Happy for Tin Tin, however, and hopefully he can restart his career there. One hopes (prays) there is more to come on the trade front today from MB.
Meanwhile, St. Louis is racked with injuries right now and might just be ripe for a home loss tonight. Weiss is looking likely to return and then tomorrow, Chicago will be playing their first home game after a road trip, which is typically the best time to catch a team, win streak or not. So there is an opportunity for 4 points here, and the Kool-Aid is mighty tasty, I must say.
lets build the team around DDD. I think DLR is showcasing as part of drioun deal. Emilin is moving up to showcase with Petry. DGMB is trying to make a deal without losing big mac
GO PATS!!! 14-6 at the half. I'll take it considering my uncertainty about the Pats ability to stick with the red hot Chiefs. Long way to go yet though.
And go Habs...I guess.
Over at SFU HQ, one of the headlines reads Maple Leafs chasing No. 1 overall pick while maintaining dignity. Really? You're going to actually put that as a headline and just say fuck it, everybody knows we bleed blue and white, so yeah, fuck it?
Meanwhile, MB says dignity, schmignity. Give me John Scott...and that Matthews kid.

BrianWilde @BWildeCTV 16s16 seconds ago Markov made the error in the previous overtime if I recall correctly. Petry and Beaulieu are the guys with the OT 3 on 3 wheels.
Old man Vodkov...terrible play. Then young Chucky misses his check. And not a chance Condon was stopping that. Not a tough shot - you just knew how this was going to end. Can't wait to hear MT tell us how great they played and just didn't have the luck. MB's fuse must be getting short. If i isn't then he's not the right man for the job after all.
Fuck off, Bergy and Bossy, dissing Vodkov showing PFK some love after he scored. WTF is wrong with it? Is it because they want to feed PJ Cock's fantasy that PFK is hated by his teammates? Go fuck yourselves. I loved it and I love Vodkov's kiss planted on PFK during the playoffs vs the Sens when he scored too.
BrianWilde @BWildeCTV 6m6 minutes ago Fatigue causes errors. Therrien said he had to manage Markov's minutes because it's a marathon.
Beaulieu 14 Petry 20 Markov 26 minutes.

Wow. Without exaggeration, it actually looked like the Habs tried to lose that game in the end. They score late to go up, go out of their way to allow the tying goal. Then they're in the attacking zone, back out, give the Blues the puck and stand and watch as they win.
